Hi Suzanne, unfortunately my support is limited to the EGD Civil PAT for 2024 - You are welcome to watch it here: ua-cam.com/play/PLbbL6Teny_0Z6N9H2XqtZA5ubaxXhcUkc.html
Thank you sooooo much🙏❤
You're welcome Bridget! Let's help as many of your friends as possible! Please make sure to share HowToEGD content with your friends!
Hi sir, it is stated that a roof line must be drawn aswell which will be extended over the drive-through entrance, I could not find any information online on how to draw this overhang representation, I would really appreciate if you could offer any ideas.
Great request Hogenop. I am working on the next episode which will include a discussion on the floor plan and the drive through entrance. Will be sure to provide you sufficient info to get started. Do me a favor and please share HowToEGD with your friends. Thanks.
How do we design the Dutch roof 😢
Hi Symphorose, thanks for the question. Remember the Dutch Roof design is part of your own research. You welcome to check Episode 4 detailing the research component that includes the Dutch Gable Roof Design, Go here: ua-cam.com/video/BW5oskveYCQ/v-deo.html I will address this in more detail in the upcoming epsiodes... All the best with your PAT!
Good day Mr. Kleyn. I have a question. The PAT specifies that we should have a single glass and aluminium swing door on 'either' side of the rotating door. Is that just, or should we have two swing doors as one on each side?
Hi Sumire, thanks for your question. I understand it as one swing door on either side of the rotating door. All the best with your PAT!
@@HowToEGD Thank you Sir.
good day, how can we convert meters square to mm because my floorplan must be 120m2
Hi Anru, please watch my recent video discussing how to draw according to scale. Watch here: ua-cam.com/video/L4zzRHfeCNQ/v-deo.html Lastly, with regard to your request. Please remember that 1 square meter is equal to 1meter x 1meter. Because there is 1000mm in 1meter, 1 square meter is also equal to 1000mm x 1000mm... All the best.
Hello sir, i have a question for an inner or outer curve wall, so how are we supposed to draw it?
Thanks Martin, appreciate your question. I am currently working on the episode discussing the Floor Plan and I will be sure to include details regarding the curved wall, as well as the rotating entrance door and drop off area... Thanks for sharing HowToEGD content also with your friends! Here we go!
Yesss
Best egd teacher. I am going to pass since you saved me from my clueless self.
Yes!! Awesome, Berod! It's great that you are able to make a success of your final year!! Give it your best!!
Thank you soo very much but I am not going to disappoint.
Sir so the ablution facilities for disabled people must be 1wc and 1basin that is going to be used by both genders? Or we must have 2 toilet facilities for disabled people?
Hi Mapula, good question. According to the PAT document, only one separate disabled toilet facility is required... Look forward to hearing more from you. Cheers
could you please show an idea of the curved wall feature
Hi Zena, Thanks for the request. For some examples, please check the previous videos in the series, especially this one, talking through the Design Brief. ua-cam.com/video/NiZkuqpA8Nw/v-deo.html
All the best with your PAT
hello how can I calculate the area when including the curved wall?
Hi Njabulo, thanks for the question. I presume your curved wall forms part of the outer wall? If that is the case you will need to apply some mathematics depending on your design. If your design includes a semicircle, your formula would be: 1/2(πr2 ). In my Example provided to viewers on the COMMUNITY Tab of the HowToEGD Channel, I provided another possibility where the curved wall forms part of the open floor area which will eliminate the need for considering it in your calculation. Please have a look under the community tab. Lastly, I always urge my learners to keep the design simple. If your curved wall is on an external wall, it will also complicate your roof... All the best and look forward to hearing more from you. Cheers!
Thanks so much can you please do page 30 in GR 12 EGD Book
Hey thanks for the request Tlotlego. I am unfortunately not able to respond to all video requests. Please apply the lessons learnt in other videos to newer problems. All the best.
@@HowToEGD thank you
Good day sir. Is that how the room divider is meant to be illustrated
Hi Denzel, yes, at the 14min mark I give a very rough idea of the stacking door that divides the two rooms... you could also draw those doors as double lines, similar to how you would draw standard doors. All the best!
how will the prominent curve wall look like?
Hi Qwerty... Please check the examples provided in the Community Tab... Sure it will give you some direction... Thanks for your question 👍
I'm writing EgD on the 14th of march about mechanical assembly & civil drawing can you prepare 🥺
Hi Michelle, thanks for your request. Please check out my "How To SMACK your Exams series. You should focus in on the videos covering the Mechanical and Civil aspects. All the best. Go here: ua-cam.com/video/d6Z5YbViG9c/v-deo.html
❤Sir can I ask..How can u scale down accurately ?
And does anyone know the scale of the freehand drawing
Hi Vault, thanks for the question. Please have a look at this Video explaining how to "How to Draw to Scale" ua-cam.com/users/liveL4zzRHfeCNQ All the best with your PAT!
Hi Jaydon, the Freehand drawing is not drawn to scale, but you should use grid paper instead. As a guide, each grid block can represent 1m or 1000mm. Blessings
🙏
Hi sir do you the grid paper in blue?
Hi Buhle, I hope I understand you correctly. The Grid Paper can be any colour as long as you can see it through your paper in order to draw the freehand. If you have the jpegd workbook, their is a copy on the last page for your use. All the best with your PAT!
My teacher wants us to use the blue colored grid paper I'm asking if you could send it in blue please.
