I like how you didn't just set up a fight for the sake of a fight, you set up an actual plot for it and maintained the characters' personalities. Pretty impressive.
I feel like super could really improve on the design of SS4, tails are the only things that real make saians unique but the design of the form always bothered me in GT
@Joe Fanik so of it is just personal preference but there’s a few reasons. 1. I didn’t feel like the color fit especially since the hair doesn’t match 2. That mascara though 🤣 3. I feel like it should have been more “ape” like I understand the whole aversion to the giant forms and trying to condense it down but I still think more fur should have been added in certain places maybe something with the teeth or having more ape like feet. With it all mixed together I dunno I just kinda felt like an edge lord in a bad furry costume
Gotta Love how much GT Goku feels like the underdog against super Goku but his Confidence in himself is unmatched. Dude literally told Super Goku that god like transformations don't mean squat against a Saiyan whose embraced his heritage. Not really. It just shows how less experienced Super Goku is as a fighter than GT Goku, how reliant he is on power over skill (which is weird given Z Goku was not like this but whatever). GT Goku utilizes both ideals, he fights hard but uses his skills as efficiently as he can as well.
@@stormcutter59 Goku's reliance on power is actually a flaw that Roshi points out to him in the manga (which is who this Super Goku is based on) so yeah you're pretty spot-on.
@@jedy5658 for example goku managed to fight a shadow dragon blind I'm guessing the longer the fight goes the stronger the form gets and the form makes the user adapt to everything so if fought a destroyer for a long time it could learn and grow eventually winning or losing depending on how much power the destroyer is using

I love the connection you made between SS4 Gogeta having red hair and it possibly being a SS God form because he technically had the power of 5 other Saiyans (the 5th being a straight up fusion). That's awesome. World class retcon.

@@kanewilson8624 I don't think it matters considering Pan hasn't even been born yet in Super when Videl participated in the ritual. If an unborn child counts then I'd say Vegeta definitely count.
The idea of relying on mastering the power you have rather than chasing transformations makes so much sense for GT Goku. His base form could contend with SSJ2 Super Goku and he made it his business to only transform when necessary, I also loved the emphasis on him being a veteran who learned how to fight more tactfully. Very cool take on GT Goku.
It makes sense too. This is the same GT Goku who pretended to still be blind, so that he could catch Omega Shenron off-guard and land a killing blow with a full-powered Dragon Fist (which would have worked if OS couldn't regenerate).
I love that you made GT Goku the more technical character. Always figuring out a way to exploit openings in his opponent besides relying on strength alone. Then using his own when it’s really needed. Well done!
I agree. actually, super rely so much in increase power, and power levels got messed because of that, that only a god or angel can hold goku. Where is the fighting stiles? The techniques, exploring the weaker points on enemy? Thats why i got so disappointed wif dragon ball super
I guess it makes more sense tho since GT Goku would be older and have quite a bit more knowledge then Super Goku. GT may not be as powerful as Super, but he has the better fighting strategy overall.
I love how GT Goku makes a proud speech on how he's grown strong enough to force Super Goku to a Godly State, and Super Goku just goes "tf who underestimating me bro?"
I really love the idea of summoning an older, wiser, but physically weaker Goku who has learned to overcome his obstacles in a different way than raw power to show his younger, more hotheaded counterpart the true meaning of strength. It's amazing how so many fans can add such amazing stories to this series.

GT Goku grew to become a tactical combatant because of experience and circumstances. He understood the major drain it took to fight in heightened forms for too long (his battle with Kid Buu proved that theory well), so he worked to improve his "Base Form" in order to make his other forms even stronger. And plus, during the Shadow Dragons Saga, Goku basically a majority of his stamina due to being forced back into the body of a child. He had the power, but his vessel (his body) could not handle it, as such he had to learn to rely on his wits even more so than ever before, to catch an enemy off guard and land a definite, killing blow. He's the victor because he understood his situation and fought to survive, not to just enjoy himself. Xeno Vegito even said that Xeno Goku had long since overgrown most of his love for battle and took his duties much more seriously.
@@projectzfoundation3065 Manga Goku is still stronger in base than SSJ4 Goku. SSJ1 Goku Black was overwhelming and blitzing SSB Vegeta in the black arc. And after training for their second visit, Goku and Vegeta exceeded that same Goku Black
Goku is fused with the dragon balls and can absorb the energy of haikai or Use the power to make him immune to haikai or any attack (The only reason he can do this is because he is apart of the db fanshise and has similar laws and power to the series)
Hmmm...so which power would you prefer? Power achieved by tapping into your most primal instincts, or power achieved through extreme control? Personally I'd prefer the former first, that way it gives me the possibility of harnessing, honing, and eventually perfecting my control over said power. If I had to pick one though I'd choose the latter because I would know my power like nothing else and I can push myself further than losing my mind and going feral...though that mostly goes with my style of fighting, perfecting what you know and taking control of as many different strategies as possible.

Though i'm kinda gonna admit though i think super goku is stronger than gt goku. Super goku is superior in terms of raw power but gt goku is superior in terms of techniques and brain. Think of it like gt goku is basically a very refined warrior who relies on his skills not his forms.

Don't forget that, unlike what the video says, no one actually ever states that they can feel Gogeta SSJ4's power. They just say he's strong because he's kicking Omega's shit in. It's entirely possible, if likely, that SSJ4 Gogeta is actually SSG4 Gogeta.

This animation is perfectly made. Not only is the execution, graphics, and production top-tier quality, but you perfectly capture Goku and who he is. You manage to capture Manga Goku’s goofy personality and arrogance he had to loose before he was truly ready for Jiren, And SSJ4 Goku’s Confidence and thought process perfectly. He remained cool and calm, the line “I’m going to find it. Your weakness that it is” was BAD-ASS and sounds exactly like something he’d say! 10/10
It is crazy how you predicted the recent issue of the DBS Manga. Now that DBS Goku is looking into his Saiyan past it feels like your fight belongs to the actual story.
Gt Goku is crazy experienced compared to super Goku which is a fun touch, a bit of gt in super could go along way showing skill can outmatch power if used right and not insanely overwhelming power. Also dragon ball AF is another broken version of Goku. We seriously should just have someone take over dragon ball other than toryiama so that they can do a multiverse thing where they confirm the destroyed universes where some of the most popular fan universes or something
Daimyen Wilson remember that dbs goku was completely out of stamina and with no spirit Bomb, time to recover or Frieza/Vegeta energy to re-power him. I’m surprised that he actually managed to sustain it a couple of seconds

Unless we want to say that SSJ4 was holding back as well there, of course, but i wouldn't really see why. I can agree on the first part tho, might be above the standard galaxy tier.
I can't believe I've never commented on this video because it is PERFECTION. You didn't downplay GT or DBS. You gave evidence and explained each of their power perfectly. You took the time to give us an actual plot that has depth and certainly stakes. Everything about this immaculate animation is quite literally perfect. I'm just baffled by how good this is. You gave GT the respect it deserves and didn't put down DBS while doing it. You even ended it with DBS Goku going Ultra Instinct, but they were both too exhausted to go on. God, I just can't express myself enough when I say this is PERFECT. You have made THE BEST GT Goku vs DBS Goku there ever will be. I'm gonna shut up and go back to watching this actual masterpiece now.

@Heavy D yes just because DBS Goku was foolish to believe that he could handle his transformation for a long period of time. It terms of power SSGSS overwhelms SSJ4 no doubt, but the big catch ... It drains the user's energy/stamina 2x or 3x faster than SSJ4 does. So, it's either finish it fast or be a fool and lose the battle as you lost your transformation (just likewhat DBS Goku did).

The tail being the key for true SSJ mastery is actually kinda canon: Goku’s kid body had trouble using his SSJ forms, so he regrew his tail. The tail likely increases ki control in some fashion. Albeit, SSJ3 did cause strain due to Goku’s child body not being able to handle the immense power.

Bro you froget that goku fused with Vegeta. Fusion is just another from of giving someone more ki energy but in a exponential way. So yes the theory dose makes sense. Don't froget fusion is 2 body with 2 ki combined to one being where the the power gets added to a larger pool

I like how GT Goku used strategy to compensate for his lack of power. That was really interesting. These battles are always ridiculously creative. Phenomenal work.
Reminds me on Dragon Ball VS Dream Match of Young Jijii. It is probably the only What If battle fan manga that I consider good, because it enhances the story in Super (anime) and has GT Goku use his experience to his advantage to fight Black.
Andres Velez he wouldn't need to now that today confirmed ss4 as the stronger form regardless of all his power up with EP 5, now ultra instinct that's something I'd like to see and manga ultra instinct since the anime one is weak.
Is because GT Goku has more fighting knowledge than Manga Goku (even anime goku). I know many people's will say- "Ah but both anime and manga Goku are also smart. In the manga Goku use both God and blue to be able to counter Hit time skip, in the anime he have kaioken on top of blue because blue have proper ki control, etc" One. The manga did a better strategy than the anime version. Kaioken would have instantly killed Goku of how it been so long he use the technique and successful pull it off.... Well not likely, he did successful pull it off but it pretty much have him stress and pain in the body after the battle with hit 2. Hit in the manga is weaker than the anime version. Even hit in the anime even stated that he is still keeping in improving 3. Super Goku relies more on his transformation when it comes in fighting stronger opponent than making strateg, it depends. He does finds weakness in his enemies to try to counter and explore it even more. But forgetting that when using blue is a real problem of how blue is really a strong form that drain a lot of stamina and energy even whis stated it, he can only use blue a few time in a day. GT Goku trained for 10 years and have developed a smart mind when it comes to fighting. In the Zamasu Arc (manga) when he finally achieved perfect blue but the power was too much to keep it inside that the energy was licking out of him. I extremely love this fight. It explore of how both Goku's are when it comes to battle, using true information than headcanon, logical sense when they are fighting and both having their own methods when it comes to a fight Also that moment when GT Goku got serious... Loved that part so much
I know this fight been getting more criticism lately but I still love this so much. The version of Super Goku that you chose best fits in the narrative of an older, more experienced Goku showing a younger Goku that there’s more to winning fights than just stronger transformations. Yeah I’ll admit that this dialogue better fits two Vegetas more than two Gokus, but the fight is clean and the people saying it mischaracterizes Goku lowkey exaggerate it cuz it while the dialogue suffers it doesn’t take away from the animation
He’s definitely improved his writing significantly since here. The dialogue and character writing as well as the power-scaling is pretty terrible, but at least the fight is entertaining enough.
GT goku has less of an ego and was able to realize that he would be unable to win unless he came up with a plan So basically GT goku has the brains and Super goku has the power
We can take lessons from this, u can either grow up to be a child stuck in a grown mans body or use your years to gain to new experiences, self discovery and find wisdom, Gt Goku in the animation mastered his own abilities and was passionate about his heritage where as super goku basically took drugs in the form of god ki and relied on powers not natural to him and became something he's not, wreckless and immature, the fight was about power but also philosophy

well to be fair the sdbh version was super goku vs xeno goku xeno goku and gt goku are two different people since xeno goku knows and tapped into the god ki while fighting before
The experience and absorption of the dragon balls plus Goku being reverted to his adult body helps gt Goku to nearly bridge the god ki gap. That allowed him the endurance and ability to use his intelligence to survive until supers Goku basically offed himself
Even if he’s wasting more power, Super Goku should still have won. Why would Super Goku run out of stamina and power when the smallest fraction of Super Goku’s energy reserves is all that is needed to destroy GT Goku?

The comparison between Super Goku and GT Goku isn’t “Super Goku 3x as powerful but 1/2 the stamina as GT Goku.” The comparison is “Super Goku 50-100 Million times as powerful with *maybe* 1/2 the stamina.” I don’t think you understand the gap in power between them. Just by getting the God form, Super Goku applied a ~29 million multiplier to his existing power at the end of the Buu saga. And that is before all the training arcs, power growth, new forms. Before the x50 multiplier that Super Saiyan Blue would apply to that existing God form multiplier. Even if you get *really* generous to GT Goku, give him the power of Buu saga ssj3 in his base form, even if you went so far as to say he has 10 times that in his base form, even if you say the ssj4 multiplier is 1000 times ssj3, hell, you can pretty much talk out of your ass and give him a ssj4 multiplier of x1 million on top of ssj3. Super Goku will still need less than 1% of his power to vaporize GT goku. *That* is the extent of the gap between them. At that point, does endurance really matter? Does experience? Does buffs? If you’re dozens of millions of times more powerful, dozens of millions of times stronger, dozens of millions of times more durable, dozens of millions of times faster. At what point would you run out of energy if it takes less than 1% of your reserves to vaporize your enemy? At what point would you waste energy if by using 10% of your speed you’re thousands of times faster and all your ki blasts and punches land? At what point would a “fight smarter and use endurance” work if the gap is that large? I’m not saying endurance and strategy are worthless, but against a gap millions times wide, does it matter? Especially when opponent A can one shot the other in the time it takes the opponent B’s brain cells to move a command from one synapse to the other?
The way you added Ultra Instinct in was perfect, he had the form but wasn't conscious nor did he have the energy at all to use it's power. Since it was before the tournament he would have no idea he had it. You are truly the most creative mastermind out there!

When GT Goku compared *ssg* to *ssj4 Gogetas* hair color, it made some sense, point being that the reason they appeared with red hair was that they entered a godly state from receiving energy from the other pure hearted saiyans, the only counterexample being that *Gogeta ssj4s* ki was able to be sensed, unlike god which lets off pressure. This just really got to me like *wooow* , it made sense, to bad it was unproven cause the others were still able to sense Gogeta ssj4s ki😭
Naknaduvan 4 well manga goku never absorbed god ki, and making GT goku an adult most likely gave him a tremendous boost on top of the already ridiculous base power, so to have SSJ4 be on par isn’t that far-fetched

As usual, Super Goku acts like a buffoon and wasted too much time having fun instead of winning. It’s both Goku’s downfall. Luckily GT Goku is older and wiser.
@@allshipper2158 Anime Goku probably would have won due to him actually having absorbed the original Super Saiyan God into his base. GT Goku has more experience but Blue doesn't have the same stamina issues it has in the manga. GT Goku is weaker but the power gap between him and Manga Goku wasn't that high especially with his base power. It would be cool to see him fight DBS Vegeta in a 1v1 though.

Evan Morel yeah he did but manga goku started winning against merged zamasu so much that zamasu had to resort to using mai as a shield to stop goku from winning, I just think dbs manga characters are in another league compared to dbs anime characters

I want a sequel to this. This is to me a great way to introducing Goku to UI. GT Goku here basically act as Master Roshi to Goku in ToP, bringing his idea of power back to the right track.

A feats almost on same level with Frieza destroy Planet Vegeta. That mean Toei Vegeta is almost as strong as base Frieza and that shit make no sense in original manga) Meanwhile Dragonball GT follow Toei DBZ and that make feats like restrained kid buu gradually obliterated entire galaxies canon to GT. DBS have none of that and Manga DBS goku also doesn't show to absorp god ki like anime does and that mean Goku without ssg transformition is only at strong at He is at the end of z (manga)

It really doesn't, Goku just commits the exact same mistakes there and has to be reminded by Master Roshi to not rely on power alone, which is a stupid lesson Goku shouldn't even have to learn in the first place. Anime Goku conserved his energy and fought extremely smart throughout the whole tournament and he didn't need to be reminded to not be an idiot who only relies on power.

GT Goku is the underdog, he had everything against him. He doesn't know anything about the God forms, he wasn't aware about Hakai, he had to think of a weakness just for a *slim* chance to win. That's what I love about the video. It gets you supporting the underdog. EDIT: 4 years later - it's kinda funny seeing how many people misunderstood my comment. Something about DB fans not being able to read.
The problem is, SSG and SSGSS can't be sensed by non-gods. SSJ4 would be unable to tell if Super Goku had energy or not. He'd lose in one blow and that would be that. Also, I love how everyone is making up this thing were Blue takes this huge toll on the body when Ressurection of F and The anime have stated like five times it is the most energy efficient form of SSJ period.

Imagine thinking like that, you think godhood is just raw god power huh, goku literally trained with whis he even mastered his ki to the point where he could achieve ssjblue with kaioken on top and whis isn't just a teacher, he's an angel who basically has ultra instinct and taught goku so much more than you imagine. Just think about it, goku achieved ultra instinct and that is a technique that you move without other thoughts, you move without thinking where to strike your opponent, you move instinctively, which is basically mastery of martial arts and not just "raw godly power". I'll say video is very inaccurate, but i did love the fight, goku surely would've used ssjg more than blue, using blue to only when striking and other tactical plays.

What’s crazy is I’m not surprised with the outcome. GT Goku was always a more serious fighter. Not only that but he actually studied his enemies instead of trying to brute strength them into the ground unlike DBS Goku, loved the animation keep up the great work
Don’t get it twisted, this animation was great but gt Goku is getting mopped by super Goku no diff. Also, super Goku barley just brute force overpowers his opponent. Think of Goku vs hit or Goku vs Jiren when he wasn’t in UI.
Nah. Super Goku did that against Jiren, started from base and slowly used every form to see what Jirens weakness was, unfortunately, he couldn’t see passed any weaknesses

Seeing Super Goku stand up at the end there sent a shiver down my spine. This was before the tournament so he tapped into that power before he completely lost his conscience.
goku absorbing super saiyan god's strength into his base was a concept long forgotten and retconned ever since the start of the U7 vs U6 tournament.. but anyway, it's pointless to try and make sense of dbs's powerscaling since the writers were only writing for the sake of spectacle and not continuity
That was amazing! It really sent my heart ablaze hearing GT Goku speak about Saiyans and their power. That's an aspect that I never even thought about before, A Saiyan playing god vs a Saiyan fully embracing who-they-ARE. Excellent stuff.

Heroes is promotional content for that game. This had a very clear GT bias from the get go. Even when PSSB Goku kept saying "Im stronger" there wasn't any indication of that. Not only that but Super Goku constantly saying "Im stronger" wasn't in line with his characterization. Super Goku would be more "Im having tons of fun!" instead of "You are weak." This video was not true to Super. It honestly read more like a GT fan projecting Super fan's claims of Blue's superiority onto Goku then having SSJ4 win out in the end to claim the W. At least Heroes doesn't do that.
@@googlemademedoit806 No way, all of Super Goku's attacks dealt way more damage. GT Goku had to use escape techniques for most of the fight, and just match blows and block. I don't think he won a single beam struggle. Most of the fight before he went SS4 was Super Goku just whupping on him, and Super Goku only transformed to keep an advantage on power, possibly hoping to win quickly. Which seems pretty in line with how Super Goku fights people he knows are threats. That said, I don't disagree that both Goku's were a little too edgy calling eachother Bastards every 3 seconds. Did seem like a Guatemalan understanding of English for a second there. But other than that, I thought the way both versions of Goku took the time to reflect about what was going right and wrong for them in the fight. Seemed pretty in character at that point. The only reason why I normally would disagree with Super Goku being able to be beaten by SSJ4 is that SSGB is inconsistently strong or weak depending on the issue/episode. It leaves enough room for me to believe that SSJ4 would stand a chance. And in many ways it paralleled SSB Goku vs Golden Frieza. One was stronger but burned stamina quickly, the other was weaker but could conserve stamina with ease. idk, looked about right.

@@seraphim101 Keep in mind though, that GT Goku and Super Goku's base forms are apples and oranges at this point. We don't have a benchmark for how strong each form is, as most of GT is Goku in a weakened Kid Form- Additionally, GT Goku could potentially be weaker or stronger, but we don't know. Some have said that Omega Shenron is stronger than Beerus, but that's not confirmed literally anywhere. Someone made that up. So, as far as I'm concerned, we just don't know. Who's to say that Goku's 10 years of training on earth was nearly as useful as Goku training with Whis, who is the strongest person in Universe 7 (which is canon)? I thought the video was interesting, but as far as the conversation about Base Forms go, we have no canon way to tell which is stronger. Though: Xenoverse 2 did have a line of Dialogue possibly written or at least supervised by Toriyama himself where he tells Goku and Vegeta (after you beat them in a DLC story mission), that they will in the future attain Super Saiyan 4 of the Super Timeline. If that's the case, we could see SSJ4 become an extension of God Form, or even see SSJ4 God? idk, that's all speculation, but then at least we'd have a canon explanation for which form is stronger or if they're two different forms with different strengths and weaknesses, as said in this animation. Though, I will concede, that GT does have an explanation for why Goku would be stronger with a tail including the ability to help manage stamina depletion.

@Joe Fanik so of it is just personal preference but there’s a few reasons. 1. I didn’t feel like the color fit especially since the hair doesn’t match 2. That mascara though 🤣 3. I feel like it should have been more “ape” like I understand the whole aversion to the giant forms and trying to condense it down but I still think more fur should have been added in certain places maybe something with the teeth or having more ape like feet.
With it all mixed together I dunno I just kinda felt like an edge lord in a bad furry costume

Not really. It just shows how less experienced Super Goku is as a fighter than GT Goku, how reliant he is on power over skill (which is weird given Z Goku was not like this but whatever). GT Goku utilizes both ideals, he fights hard but uses his skills as efficiently as he can as well.

The idea of relying on mastering the power you have rather than chasing transformations makes so much sense for GT Goku. His base form could contend with SSJ2 Super Goku and he made it his business to only transform when necessary, I also loved the emphasis on him being a veteran who learned how to fight more tactfully. Very cool take on GT Goku.

GT Goku grew to become a tactical combatant because of experience and circumstances.
He understood the major drain it took to fight in heightened forms for too long (his battle with Kid Buu proved that theory well), so he worked to improve his "Base Form" in order to make his other forms even stronger.
And plus, during the Shadow Dragons Saga, Goku basically a majority of his stamina due to being forced back into the body of a child. He had the power, but his vessel (his body) could not handle it, as such he had to learn to rely on his wits even more so than ever before, to catch an enemy off guard and land a definite, killing blow.
He's the victor because he understood his situation and fought to survive, not to just enjoy himself.
Xeno Vegito even said that Xeno Goku had long since overgrown most of his love for battle and took his duties much more seriously.
He would still lose in actuality because manga Super Goku is just as experienced as GT Goku and his base would be more than enough to handle SSJ4

Personally I'd prefer the former first, that way it gives me the possibility of harnessing, honing, and eventually perfecting my control over said power. If I had to pick one though I'd choose the latter because I would know my power like nothing else and I can push myself further than losing my mind and going feral...though that mostly goes with my style of fighting, perfecting what you know and taking control of as many different strategies as possible.

Gt Goku is crazy experienced compared to super Goku which is a fun touch, a bit of gt in super could go along way showing skill can outmatch power if used right and not insanely overwhelming power. I can't believe I've never commented on this video because it is PERFECTION. You didn't downplay GT or DBS. You gave evidence and explained each of their power perfectly. You took the time to give us an actual plot that has depth and certainly stakes. Everything about this immaculate animation is quite literally perfect. I'm just baffled by how good this is. You gave GT the respect it deserves and didn't put down DBS while doing it. You even ended it with DBS Goku going Ultra Instinct, but they were both too exhausted to go on. God, I just can't express myself enough when I say this is PERFECT. You have made THE BEST GT Goku vs DBS Goku there ever will be. I'm gonna shut up and go back to watching this actual masterpiece now.

It terms of power SSGSS overwhelms SSJ4 no doubt, but the big catch ... It drains the user's energy/stamina 2x or 3x faster than SSJ4 does.
So, it's either finish it fast or be a fool and lose the battle as you lost your transformation (just likewhat DBS Goku did).

The tail being the key for true SSJ mastery is actually kinda canon: Goku’s kid body had trouble using his SSJ forms, so he regrew his tail. The tail likely increases ki control in some fashion.
Albeit, SSJ3 did cause strain due to Goku’s child body not being able to handle the immense power.
No man, even with the tail, Babi just blitz Goku ssj3, rewatch this part of gt.
The tail just help unlock the true mastery of the ssj form, it doesn't give any power boost.

I like how GT Goku used strategy to compensate for his lack of power. That was really interesting. These battles are always ridiculously creative. Phenomenal work.
Reminds me on Dragon Ball VS Dream Match of Young Jijii. It is probably the only What If battle fan manga that I consider good, because it enhances the story in Super (anime) and has GT Goku use his experience to his advantage to fight Black.

One. The manga did a better strategy than the anime version. Kaioken would have instantly killed Goku of how it been so long he use the technique and successful pull it off.... 2. Hit in the manga is weaker than the anime version. Even hit in the anime even stated that he is still keeping in improving
3. Super Goku relies more on his transformation when it comes in fighting stronger opponent than making strateg, it depends. He does finds weakness in his enemies to try to counter and explore it even more. But forgetting that when using blue is a real problem of how blue is really a strong form that drain a lot of stamina and energy even whis stated it, he can only use blue a few time in a day. GT Goku trained for 10 years and have developed a smart mind when it comes to fighting.
In the Zamasu Arc (manga) when he finally achieved perfect blue but the power was too much to keep it inside that the energy was licking out of him.
I extremely love this fight. It explore of how both Goku's are when it comes to battle, using true information than headcanon, logical sense when they are fighting and both having their own methods when it comes to a fight

I know this fight been getting more criticism lately but I still love this so much. The version of Super Goku that you chose best fits in the narrative of an older, more experienced Goku showing a younger Goku that there’s more to winning fights than just stronger transformations.
Yeah I’ll admit that this dialogue better fits two Vegetas more than two Gokus, but the fight is clean and the people saying it mischaracterizes Goku lowkey exaggerate it cuz it while the dialogue suffers it doesn’t take away from the animation
He’s definitely improved his writing significantly since here.
The dialogue and character writing as well as the power-scaling is pretty terrible, but at least the fight is entertaining enough.
GT goku has less of an ego and was able to realize that he would be unable to win unless he came up with a plan

That fight was more of a misunderstanding, this fight, however, is an actual D-D-D-D-D-D-DUEL.
The experience and absorption of the dragon balls plus Goku being reverted to his adult body helps gt Goku to nearly bridge the god ki gap. That allowed him the endurance and ability to use his intelligence to survive until supers Goku basically offed himself
So few people realize this, the win could've been anyone's game but DBS goku got too cocky relying on raw power to win

I don’t think you understand the gap in power between them. Just by getting the God form, Super Goku applied a ~29 million multiplier to his existing power at the end of the Buu saga. And that is before all the training arcs, power growth, new forms. Before the x50 multiplier that Super Saiyan Blue would apply to that existing God form multiplier.
Even if you get *really* generous to GT Goku, give him the power of Buu saga ssj3 in his base form, even if you went so far as to say he has 10 times that in his base form, even if you say the ssj4 multiplier is 1000 times ssj3, hell, you can pretty much talk out of your ass and give him a ssj4 multiplier of x1 million on top of ssj3.
Super Goku will still need less than 1% of his power to vaporize GT goku.
*That* is the extent of the gap between them.
At that point, does endurance really matter? Does experience? Does buffs?
If you’re dozens of millions of times more powerful, dozens of millions of times stronger, dozens of millions of times more durable, dozens of millions of times faster. At what point would you run out of energy if it takes less than 1% of your reserves to vaporize your enemy? At what point would you waste energy if by using 10% of your speed you’re thousands of times faster and all your ki blasts and punches land? At what point would a “fight smarter and use endurance” work if the gap is that large?
I’m not saying endurance and strategy are worthless, but against a gap millions times wide, does it matter? Especially when opponent A can one shot the other in the time it takes the opponent B’s brain cells to move a command from one synapse to the other?

When GT Goku compared *ssg* to *ssj4 Gogetas* hair color, it made some sense, point being that the reason they appeared with red hair was that they entered a godly state from receiving energy from the other pure hearted saiyans, the only counterexample being that *Gogeta ssj4s* ki was able to be sensed, unlike god which lets off pressure. Meanwhile Dragonball GT follow Toei DBZ and that make feats like restrained kid buu gradually obliterated entire galaxies canon to GT.

It really doesn't, Goku just commits the exact same mistakes there and has to be reminded by Master Roshi to not rely on power alone, which is a stupid lesson Goku shouldn't even have to learn in the first place. Anime Goku conserved his energy and fought extremely smart throughout the whole tournament and he didn't need to be reminded to not be an idiot who only relies on power.
GT Goku: Calm, Collected, using different strategies constantly, and doesn't stick to one fighting style. Actively looking for a weakness.

GT Goku is the underdog, he had everything against him. He doesn't know anything about the God forms, he wasn't aware about Hakai, he had to think of a weakness just for a *slim* chance to win.
That's what I love about the video. It gets you supporting the underdog.
EDIT: 4 years later - it's kinda funny seeing how many people misunderstood my comment. Something about DB fans not being able to read.
The problem is, SSG and SSGSS can't be sensed by non-gods. SSJ4 would be unable to tell if Super Goku had energy or not. He'd lose in one blow and that would be that. Also, I love how everyone is making up this thing were Blue takes this huge toll on the body when Ressurection of F and The anime have stated like five times it is the most energy efficient form of SSJ period.

Anime DBS is a lot different from Manga DBS. Also, the Stamina Drain is refering to Super Saiyan Blue Complete, which is a Manga exclusive form (Manga DBS Goku is also MUCH weaker than Anime DBS Goku).
@@WadetheBadger this is manga goku, ssb has huge drain on their stamina, its clearly stated during vegeta vs goku black fight that remaining in blue is too stamina draining so vegeta stays in god form and swaps.back and forth to blue to save energy.

I love the idea of GT Goku having more experience then Super Goku. Sure Raw power but sometimes skill is needed more

Imagine thinking like that, you think godhood is just raw god power huh, goku literally trained with whis he even mastered his ki to the point where he could achieve ssjblue with kaioken on top and whis isn't just a teacher, he's an angel who basically has ultra instinct and taught goku so much more than you imagine. Just think about it, goku achieved ultra instinct and that is a technique that you move without other thoughts, you move without thinking where to strike your opponent, you move instinctively, which is basically mastery of martial arts and not just "raw godly power". I'll say video is very inaccurate, but i did love the fight, goku surely would've used ssjg more than blue, using blue to only when striking and other tactical plays.

Don’t get it twisted, this animation was great but gt Goku is getting mopped by super Goku no diff. Also, super Goku barley just brute force overpowers his opponent. Think of Goku vs hit or Goku vs Jiren when he wasn’t in UI.

That was amazing! It really sent my heart ablaze hearing GT Goku speak about Saiyans and their power. That's an aspect that I never even thought about before, A Saiyan playing god vs a Saiyan fully embracing who-they-ARE. Excellent stuff.

Heroes is promotional content for that game. This had a very clear GT bias from the get go. Even when PSSB Goku kept saying "Im stronger" there wasn't any indication of that. Not only that but Super Goku constantly saying "Im stronger" wasn't in line with his characterization. Super Goku would be more "Im having tons of fun!" instead of "You are weak." This video was not true to Super. It honestly read more like a GT fan projecting Super fan's claims of Blue's superiority onto Goku then having SSJ4 win out in the end to claim the W. At least Heroes doesn't do that.
@@googlemademedoit806 No way, all of Super Goku's attacks dealt way more damage. GT Goku had to use escape techniques for most of the fight, and just match blows and block. I don't think he won a single beam struggle. Most of the fight before he went SS4 was Super Goku just whupping on him, and Super Goku only transformed to keep an advantage on power, possibly hoping to win quickly. Which seems pretty in line with how Super Goku fights people he knows are threats.
That said, I don't disagree that both Goku's were a little too edgy calling eachother Bastards every 3 seconds. Did seem like a Guatemalan understanding of English for a second there.
But other than that, I thought the way both versions of Goku took the time to reflect about what was going right and wrong for them in the fight. Seemed pretty in character at that point.
The only reason why I normally would disagree with Super Goku being able to be beaten by SSJ4 is that SSGB is inconsistently strong or weak depending on the issue/episode. It leaves enough room for me to believe that SSJ4 would stand a chance. And in many ways it paralleled SSB Goku vs Golden Frieza. One was stronger but burned stamina quickly, the other was weaker but could conserve stamina with ease. idk, looked about right.

@@seraphim101 Keep in mind though, that GT Goku and Super Goku's base forms are apples and oranges at this point. We don't have a benchmark for how strong each form is, as most of GT is Goku in a weakened Kid Form- Additionally, GT Goku could potentially be weaker or stronger, but we don't know. Some have said that Omega Shenron is stronger than Beerus, but that's not confirmed literally anywhere. Someone made that up. So, as far as I'm concerned, we just don't know. Who's to say that Goku's 10 years of training on earth was nearly as useful as Goku training with Whis, who is the strongest person in Universe 7 (which is canon)?
I thought the video was interesting, but as far as the conversation about Base Forms go, we have no canon way to tell which is stronger.
Though: Xenoverse 2 did have a line of Dialogue possibly written or at least supervised by Toriyama himself where he tells Goku and Vegeta (after you beat them in a DLC story mission), that they will in the future attain Super Saiyan 4 of the Super Timeline. If that's the case, we could see SSJ4 become an extension of God Form, or even see SSJ4 God? idk, that's all speculation, but then at least we'd have a canon explanation for which form is stronger or if they're two different forms with different strengths and weaknesses, as said in this animation.
Though, I will concede, that GT does have an explanation for why Goku would be stronger with a tail including the ability to help manage stamina depletion.
I love how ssj4 goku used like 50 different ki techniques and manga goku just used kamehameha, really shows the difference in their way of fighting
