While driving through parks (national, state, otherwise), I am in amazement at the thought that went through the minds of those laying the roads for us who would follow for generations later to see the same natural structures and be in awe in the same manner. On top of that, knowing nature would reclaim the road if they took the path of least resistance they would build the roads to avoid that natural loss while keeping to the displaying of nature for futures to come. Thanks for sharing.

Great Basin is out there. I generally do Kolob Canyon drive out from Cedar City UT. Then out west side back down through NV to Mesquite.

The road down to fisherman cove dead ends where Virgin River empties into Mead. Nothing down there. You can go up Lime Kiln pass road cut off drive along mountain west jump out over and end up at cistern. If going into AZ STRIP left goes up to Whitney Fire Lookout Right to Pakoon Springs Tassi Ranch.
You can get stuck if you go into areas not maintained and automatic transmissions fry in heat doing 30 point turn around.
We took a D6 bulldozer into remote canyons. I think it can do more than a jeep.
Doze the washes where road criss crosses. Most are not maintained.

NV from past Mesquite up the middle is amazing. Seriously cold in winter. South is Lake Mead NRA. Drive down to Nellis AFB. left-east through big gap is lake mead and road that loops around to valley of fire. You can jump out onto I15 from Valley. Then into AZ STRIP via Bunkerville exit/Gold Butte. Cedar Pocket aka cistern has become popular spot. I would push over pass to Pakoon Springs camp there. Or BLM campground exit 18 Virgin River Gorge. If cheapskate drive up hill north side of exit to first big flat spot.

I think most people want to see how you camp there, not the views.

@@CoddiwompleOverland "How to get there" should a very small part of the whole thing. But you made it over 97% of it.

Got ya, you would like to see more camping. We will try to add more. Most people like to see the travel part. Thanks for your input.
