  • In this video, I reveal the Hubbard E-Meter Drills Simulator and give a short demo of some of its functions. Apologies for the hair in front of the camera when I showed the TA indicator on the simulator.

That's so cool. I can understand the value of it for any auditor. I was "in" for a long time, but left about 15 years ago . However, although many people who comment on many of Scient. videos have never had the least experience or even read any books and are only making nasty comments from a sense of self righteousness and having the chance to put anything down which makes them part of the "mob" and makes them feel like "better than thou" types, there are some aspects of Scientology which are very useful and can give you good results . No lecture here, just regarding this little contraption : Back in the days long ago, the practice drills on learning to identify "reads" were done by the pretend p.c. squeezing the cans to ty to create every read. Seeing all the reads on this contraption, you can imagine how hard it would be to duplicate all the reads by squeezing the cans in a way that would hopefully create each read ! I'm sure most people never really learned to spot "reads" correctly .

Self-righteousness is a sad state of mind : The self-righteous can’t learn anything new, merely reinforce already held biases . I love the feeling of changing my mind after being educated with new information or shown the “bad math or intentional false data” which I’d previously based my conclusions .

Great find. If you interview some ex Int Base staffers, they can tell you the history of the guys who helped electronically create the reads for the simulator. Bruce Plotz is someone who might know about Luigi, the guy who made most of the Simulator's electronically created reads, I believe. You might wish to hit up Bruce Plotz and interview him.
Like I told you when I interviewed with you, I as a course sup in a classroom at Flag in the 1970s and 1980s, saw daily hundreds of people's brief meter reactions. I saw from 30 to 150 different student meter actual needle reactions a day, for years.
The simulator is great for drilling, but the needle movements are slower and artificial compared to a person's real needle reactions. No one's needle is as perfect as the fake needle reactions, because in real sessions, the needle actually moves around a lot more actively between the various needle reaction types.
But for drilling, it's "okay" and at least someone can learn all the ridiculously tedious Hubbard procedures. This "Drills Simulator" goes together with the Drills Binders which lay out the drilling step by step, for hundreds and hundreds of minute procedures the auditor (Hubbard quack therapist) has to perfect.
    ----------------------------------
I'd say, when it all comes down to it, if the person playing the "auditor" (Scientology pseudo-therapist) is a good mentch type of person, and listens well, understands the patient (preclear) well, and reacts and responds well, and the patient (preclear) trusts and respects the "auditor" (pseudo-therapist), then the session goes well.
The meter is a hindrance to just having a good smart responsive listerner to one's troubles for the patient.
Scientology's meter and the electronic "Drills Simulator"are great for understanding what Hubbard thought would be good for a session, but the bottom line really is the auditor him or herself which is most important to the session.
I don't really think even today in hindsight if the whole Hubbard quackery pseudo-therapy/exorcism two person "session" setup is even the best way to help someone.
I'd today urge a person to see a legit therapist, who doesn't need an electronic gizmo like the Hubbard Emeter.
And for enlightenment, rather, I'd tell someone to read books on eastern Indian religions and their meditation steps to reach enlightenment and skip Scientology's "case" soul memories patient/therapist setup.
(To read the actual "spiritual" questions Scientology will ask of a person, you can read almost all of the questions and never join Scientology, and just contemplate the answers to Scientology's questions yourself, without spending a second within Scientology's confines. The DIY Scientology, no meter, no gizmos, just read the Scientology "spiritual" questions, you just need to get ahold of the internet versions of "Subject Volume 3", "Subject Volume 4" and then get ahold of the "OT Volume". Those three volumes have almost all of the Scientology "commands", their questions. You can do it on yourself, and spare yourself any of the problems of interacting with Scientologists. I don't recommend even this, but you could do that, if you wished to study like a thought experiment, what it will be like to receive the Scientology "auditing" "spiritual practice.")
GREAT for getting this on video and shared, excellent for history details of Scientology.

I saw an old video of Miscavige talking about these, but didn't know how widespread they were. Interesting.

I love seeing videos about these things. I still have no idea what the practical application is supposed to be. Like, I mean I "know", I just dont get it.

I got this Maschine from an auction in Germany. I had no idea what it was. I got it with a lot of radio related stuff from a collector. I might list it on eBay Germany.

In my mind, i was picturing actual cans. Scientology seems so confusing to me. Tone scales and an e-meter just to audit out empathy and make clones.

To me, cults and manipulative tactics are fascinating. If you like Maxwells equations, then you should do some stuff with that.
