Linton is dead, and has no claim to Wuthering Heights anymore either way
Heathcliff is the adopted son of Mr. Earnshaw and thus is the only remaining person to have any sort of legal claim to Wuthering Heights, so even though Cathy's will doesn't matter anymore, he still inherits Wuthering Heights because he's the last one standing
