.My 57 Chevy Station Wagon has a similar piece of trim by the tailgate. I got lucky and found a pair of original moldings. I am quite sure I could make it now if I had to. Thanks!

What gauge metal are you using?
19G, could have been using 20-22G
Maybe use 24gauge stainless steel ,great vid as usual
