Thanks for the video I was born there in 1977 and left around 19 years later, haven't been back but definitely on my bucket list. I lived at 20 chesterfield circuit.
I worked here in 1968/9 whilst Nabalco was building the mining site, was nothing like it is now, lived in a long hut, worked 6 days a week, had an old FJ Holden, used to fly TAA/Ansett to Sydney, looks so different, used to drive out to the old slipways where the flying boats used to leave.
I'm from Mexico city, the perspective to live in this natural, beautiful and far away place is exciting. You are so far from the bustle of the cities that I imagine they live quietly
its a trade off. in small places like this, you have limited options for services. so you pay more, and if you accidentally sleep with the local electrician's wife, you will never get your house wired again. (jokes).
I worked on the town site from 70-72, back then there was the mine on one end, and a few housing places on the other. I had hoped that some of the buildings I worked on might still be there but viewing this I cannot be sure. One thing for sure, it was a wonderful time for a Yank back then.
Nice town infrastructure way different to the Indonesian towns up north in Guinea. What a change it is with an English background mentality. From Costa Rica
Oh how I miss Gove. Lived there for 11 years and I still feel homesick. Wanna go back aswell but Gove has turned into a bad town since the mining shutdown forcing all the people that worked there to move away with their families. Unlucky my family was one too. #govegirlforever
Kalau kemarin sih kita butuh 350 tahun. Untuk memutuskan ya kita mau sedikit maju. Dengan merdeka.

We left in '79 when I was young. Hoping to get back there sometime soon and take a look.
