I'm a writer and only two months back wrote a story about adopting old parents. So, watching this brought a smile to my face.
Adoption in general, is of a child. This concept of adopting an old person is very unique and heart touching! It's a wonderful thought and I hope more and more people will give wings to this concept! The whole team has done a wonderful work. Congratulations!!
Gupto has evolved so beautifully as an actress! Watching her on-screen is such a delight! I love how the director and the storyteller craft this piece! It is surreal. Without a single dialogue, the last scene is so moving. It just goes straight to your heart. It will stay with you for a long time. Thank you @blush for this gem!

Everyone is talking about adopting an elderly person... But I am noticing that a woman before marriage can take a strong and firm decision and being financially independent is very important.
He was suggesting to get married and that was not a solution.... 🙏

This brought a tear to my as I’m a single woman full time working always thankful that I have my mother to look after - was a double carer until my father passed away - all the hardships are worth it and this is an amazing concept however I have seen around me the Indian generation that has moved to the IK have no interest in the elderly - I expected them to offer help and no one does - I have been able to balance life and work very well - my Mum’s love and friendship is what drives me 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I’ve never thought of it as a chore - it always feels natural to look after them ❤

I don't have words to explain how bad i feel when being independent is represented as moving out and living alone discarding all responsibilities whereas the theme shown here is truly the real essence of life. This is absolutely beautifully scripted and in today’s time, makes complete sense. The presence of a most senior citizen is always a blessing at the end of the day. Maturity to go back home to, after a long day. ❤ I moved lock stock to be a care giver to my widowed independent mom in 2020 who was ailing. Was told hire a nurse, put her in an old age home, or an institution, u have a life to go back too, did none of that for many many long months, I have no regrets. If she took care of me as a child and teen and a budding woman to be and tolerated my BS, y would I abandon her. I would even adopt my other widowed fmly members too if the time came and need be. 😊🎉
This is exactly why this film is made. Nothing is more important than family, parents. Not money, not luxury, not alone time. There's a very sweet line in the film, Piku - "Ek age ke baad, parents apne aap zinda nahi reh paate.. unhein rakkhaa jaata hai.."

As a 17 year old i always wanted to comfort elderly people and this video just brings tears to my eyes. Such a nice message, maybe one day in future I will be capable of doing something like this. And i request to anyone reading this please don't neglect them, they are the purest souls, just look at the smile of the lady in the video it just defines innocence and love.
I hope our generation become mature and empathetic to not only our parents but to others as well and make a respectful environment for them.
