The biggest support you can give me, is a comment on this video. Or sharing it with someone who might find it interesting!
After a few years with full focus on growing as a photographer, a friend of mine pushed me into video as well. And all of a sudden, it has opened a door for me. Being able to travel a lot more, and gradually being able to post a lot more on here.
This is the fourth video I've put together out of the back of the Discovery. And as I'm coming from still photography into this world, it's really rewarding seeing a moving picture come together.
In this video I'm starting to scratch the surface of who I am. And why on earth I'm doing what I do. And there's still several topics I need to discuss. But I don't rally aim to get everyone on board with this "idea of life". Because if you clicked on this, I'm all ready sure there is something to this that might intrigue you all ready.
Thanks once again for checking it out, and please do leave a comment and subscribe to the channel to help me get the ball rolling.
All questions will be answered.

Really glad for any comments on this, as I'm new to both the platform and format of longer videos in general. The further these videos spread, the more time can I invest in them. Resulting in more than monthly videos soon.
Weekly videos is a goal I'm aiming for this year!
Yet another interesting video to watch, Kasper, and to hear the history of why you made it happen.
I've enjoyed 65-years of adventure travel, and now in my 4th year living full time in a BMW X5. Life is what you make it. Live it not in the footsteps of others, but by making your own path. 😉📸
@@Globetrotter-1 thanks! Diving a bit deeper into the car in the next one I think. Not far from each other, as BMW bought Land Rover and based a lot of the X5 off the Discovery three 🤝
@@kasperhoglund Yes, I love the split dual tailgate that both Land Rover and the X5 have. It has so many uses, especially as a platform for cooking and sitting on.
Looking forward to your next video. 😉
Yes, take this comment for UA-cam algorithm! Take it! Spread it! Fast! 😀😀😀
@@lordverbik1589 Thanks man!
You know passionate people like you should be leaders of the world. Earth then, would be a much more adventurous place to live in. God Bless You Man.
Thanks for the love man 🙏
Thank you for the 21:9 aspect ratio! Finally a UA-cam Chanel that shows what I like and is using the entire space on my 21:9 ultra wide monitor.
Just looks sooo much better imo!
Love your videos! Amazing and extremly mesmerizing. keep it up. Big ups and love from Denmark.
Thank an coming back down for some summer vibes in Denmark this year 🙏
I love my Discovery 4. It transports my boat, takes me on adventurous vacations, takes me to the opera, takes me to work, takes my whole family, even friends, in comfort, versatility, elegance, practicality, unparalleled...
Good luck,man!
I think about this very often. I’m driving it a lot, but I still enjoy every single drive. Crazy good car 🙏
I hope more people will discover your videos. They won't regret watching them. Your skills are inspirational and I love to see those spectacular Norway views. I think it's an ideal vehicle for your lifestyle.
Thanks! It definitely is🙏 just a bit restless with a need for change. But might result in another overhaul of this one!
Dmax would be perfect
it’s really hard to believe that you are somehow a beginner in this type of videos i mean, everything’s good, you really know how to make calming yet interesting and informative videos. congrats man and keep up the good work
Thanks man! Coming from photography helps, but its also so much more work obviously. Hoping to get out and make a lot more of these soon!
Work to live, not live to work, that's the spirit mate! I love your journey and how you tell it, on top of you perfect video skills, your story telling is damn good! this channel will hit 100k before 2024 for SURE man. As usual, thank you for the inspiration
Thanks for coming back for each one man 🙏🙏
It's the slower, calmer, context driven content we need. There's enough fast paced material for short attention spans, and while the market may not favour videos like yours, it doesn't mean there isn't a place for it. Keep it up!
Cheers Charles! 🤝
The LR3/LR4's are the PERFECT car for this! It wouldn't be as interesting in a van or camper. Keep growing the channel so you can eventually have this be your primary source of income. Then you can take your LR4 to other continents & bring us amazing footage for years to come. Much success!
That’s the dream! 🙏 thanks a lot
Okay so Kasper I was really inspired by your videos and decided to do rent a camper van and drive around iceland for 2 weeks. It taught me a lot of stuff I previously didn’t think about. Being faced with the reality of lack in basic necessities that an apartment would provide, driving in a camper van really makes you look at basic things differently. I appreciate your videos so much more now. Thank you and greetings from The Netherlands 👋🏼
Thanks! I really want to get over to Iceland with the car myself. Looks incredible 🙏
One of the best videos iv'e watched in a long time , Great job on the filming perspective. Subscribed ! To many more ❤ from Bahrain !
Thank you!🙏
great short film, inspiring story Kasper!
Thank you 🙏
DO THIS LIFE..... FANTASTIC VIDEOGRAPHY. I ALWAYS ENJOY YOUR EDITING. !!! IM GONNA BE 60 AND I SEE HOW YOU YOUNGER FOLKS ARE GRASPING THE REAL REASON TO LIVE. WORK TO LIVE IS DEFINATELY THE RIGHT WAY. . I AM LIVING IN MY TRUCK CAMPER ON MY LAND IN IDAHO U.S. AND TRYING TO DO THE THINGS I DIDNT GET TO IN MY YOUNGER DAYS. I FIND MORE PEACE, MORE IN TOUCH WITH LIFE AND NATURE. LESS MONEY, NO DEBT. ENJOY THIS JOURNEY AND ENJOY LIFE KASPER..... THATS THE MOST IMPORTANT. BE BLESSED...
Thanks man! Definitely something I had in mind. Grasping the chance before I get locked down by much. But you also show that it’s possible to catch up on it later on!
Im really love that video! Thank you for sharing!
Best regards, Sergey Screeny from Siberia.
You're videos and your Disco are looking amazing! Always been a huge LR Disco fan. If I wouldn't live in a big major city. It would be my care of choice. Have you checked the Ineos Grenadier? It's less "smart", but fantastic.
Thanks! Its definitely something that would fill all my needs, but its just too expensive for me now!
I love the look of the Disco 4, but I choose a GLK. The chance of getting a Disco 4 with trouble every day is 90 to 10. You´re lucky! I wish you a awesome journey through one of the best countries on this world. Greetings from Northern Germany
Thanks! Looking forward to showing more of Norway now that spring comes around!
I like the style of your life. Living as a nomad. Really inspiring. Looking forward seeing more. All the best, Maurice
Thanks Maurice! plenty more to come!
This is the first of your videos i came across, awesome content and highly inspirational. From Durban South Africa, looking forward to more from you.
Thank you 🙏 plenty more to come!
Thank you! I’ve looked at traveling trough some parts of Russia one day. Really cool and deserted landscapes. But everything here is definitely layer out with good infrastructure!
Great vid. Love the camera shots of the undercarriage. How do you keep it so pristine?
BTW I own a 2012 LR4 HSE V8...great vehicle...
Always love watching new videos from you 🙌 great job again! Hope one day it’ll work out to meet you again 🙏
Thank you Daniel! Really grateful to get feedback from you 🙏 I’m aiming to get up north, so the chance we’ll bump into each other is there when you are up with the van!
Thanks for sharing your journey. All your videos are really smooth and beautiful... congrats! Your Disco looks really great. When I see this, I'm even thinking of switching my 2003 Defender to a Disco 4 😅All the best!
“….(creating on platforms where) all of the videos you see are supposed to be fast and snappy with no context. And I like context. I like to show the downlow and the calm way I get to experience the country. And it’s not like all travel videos need to be epic or loud, because some people just live life a bit more calm”
Such a great reminder to create and live in a way that is authentic to ourselves. Whether that's fast or slow, with or without context.
Couldn’t agree more 🙏
I toured Greenland 8 months it was hauntingly beautiful desolate eerie and very quiet strange just like this
Oh man there is one thing that you said that hit me hard... "Its not like all travel videos needs to be epic or loud because some people just live life a bit more calm". Thats so true! Im glad i discovered your channel Kasper!
And after all this you are a better mechanic then most. 😂😂😂😂
haha professional hobby mechanic
Gorgeous video! I found your content about a month ago and have since watched everything here on the channel. You have a talent for creating beautiful content! There is a really lovely calm in these videos.
Thanks! A lot more to come, and hopefully getting to show the amazing spring landscapes soon as well!🙏
Another great video 😊 it’s nice to hear about your journey so far…….
Thanks! I’ll dive deeper and share more soon 🙏
Your videos are amazing. Not sure how much time you spent on the planning, but almost all the shots felt intentional and well thoughout. Pairing them with your careful selections of ambient music and you have a collection of videos that I wouldn't mind watching over and over again. Well done. I myself am also a photographer and have been itchy to hit the road full time. Your story, and more importantly, passion, might just be the inspiration I need to get my butt out the door!!! Thanks!
Thanks a lot for that man! Usually don’t plan any of the travel shots. Just setting up cameras along the way 👍 but really want to make them fit whilst I’m editing, so 70% of them goes unused hah
I just bought an LR4 this week. This is so inspiring!
Amazing I have ld4 but not this extreme
Do you have something where we can donate?
First off, I deeply and honestly appreciate that a lot.
I have a Patreon where I’m going to post more behind the scenes along the way. There’s a link on my channel.
Also putting the names of all supporters at the end of the videos!
AMAZING!! Great Great Job! Congratulations from Brussels from an argentinian! Grande Kasper!!! ;-)
Thanks 🙏
You are living the life you desire. Of course there are always ups and downs, but it takes a massive leap of faith to follow this path. I wish you all the best and have a good one mate! Love your content. Land Rover should really consider hiring you ;)
Inspirational and respect to you and the future. Awesome Land Rover and the videos you produce. In ore of what you have achieved and the lifestyle you have.
Thanks James!
I have the exact same roof bar for my light bar
Amazing truck. Amazing Videos. Dope Style. Great shoes + outerwear.
Cheers😎🤝
Another absolute banger of a video 🔥
Thank you 🫶
Beautifully filmed, edited and executed. Once again, so pleased to see you on this platform. I wish I had the skill and patience to produce something like this. I'm still photography focused, and a novice at that!
Thanks! Looking forward to putting out more of them soon!
Watching you with a snowy backdrop. All while I am in Australia with 35 Celsius heat. I am JEALOUS. As usual, So satisfying. ❤
Thanks man! An AUS road trip would be really cool to do as well. Some proper heat after years of snow.
"Wow, this video is an absolute masterpiece! I'm in awe of how beautifully it's edited and how picturesque the landscapes are. It's inspiring to see someone living their best life, travelling in a Landrover Discovery and experiencing the world in all its glory. Your sense of adventure and willingness to explore is truly commendable. Thank you for sharing your journey with us - it's a reminder that life is too short to not chase after our dreams."
Thanks a ton for this 🙏
Concept is everything! Fabulous video, as usual. Keep clocking those miles and letting us in on your adventures 💪😊
Thanks🙏
Astonishing. So glad I stumbled on this video. The most I do with my Disco 4 is sleep in the back when I can't find a B&B or hotel, and it's already saved me a lot of money that way! Looking forward to watching your other videos.
Thanks! I very often think about it, every time I travel somewhere and just sleep in the back. How expensive it would've been to spend the night at a hotel near by instead! Makes it a bit more fun hah
I’m watching dude, inspirational! Keep the videos coming brother 🤌🤌
Thank you🙏
Amazing video, amazing vehicle. Thank you for your content Kasper.
Thanks Kevin 🙏
Thanks for great videos, Kasper. It looks like your land rover has customized headlights (not fog lights), is that correct? If so, are there any restrictions on public roads?
Thanks! Everything about the original lights is stock, apart from that I’ve split the main headlight open to paint all chrome gloss black + an amber marking light👍
Love it .. the down low context driven content is awesome. Kudos from down under mate! Kjør på!
Takk for det 🤝🤝
Just keep on keeping on. You're doing good as far as your proction goes. That's the hardest part. Now just get more content. Get out of the snow! 😏
I'm in an LR3 myself. I know the difficult relationship with LR. I have a single crappy UA-cam video. Check it out. Nice vehicle.
I'll continue to follow. Look forward to more. I know it's hard work.
Thanks! Definitely looking forward to some trips away from snow soon haha🙏
You've just told us your journey with the disco 4 and making videos, I found your videos by chance but I glad I did your finding road's I have never seen and probably won't ever drive so the k you for sharing 😊
So many more cool roads and places to show you guys!
Your videos are amazing. I love style of yours Discovery. I hope that my Jeep Commander will be similar one day. 😊
Thanks! 🙏
Absolutely beautiful! Honest, touching and immersive!
Thanks 🙏
Great video! and the cover with the northern lights is just amazing, your content outstands great part of UA-cam, you'll get far
Thanks a lot!
Watching in Australia. Have been for the last 5 or 6 months, find the way you make film very relaxing and really do enjoy how you just film the little things as well.
Cheers man! Gotta get myself over for some proper AUS travels one day👍
Love it. Thanks a lot for sharing. It looks amazing. And it’s very inspiring. Cheers Yoav
Thanks Yoav!
Love you style of narration. You are a great story teller. Think you all made the right decisions. When I listend to your statement you wished for a car which is less smart I was thinking about my recent purchase of the grenadier. Have you thought about this car?
Oh congratulations on that! When are you getting it? Haven’t seen it up close, but it’s definitely a solid option, but out of budget now!
So when is the Rover & Cruiser considering on a new trip again? 😎
Great video bro🤜🤛
Thanks buddy! About time 😎👍
Just the video I needed to see this was super encouraging as I’m wanting to get into overlanding thank you for this absolutely outstanding video can’t wait to see a video on the Land Rover!
Thanks 🙏😄 and glad to hear you got something out of it!
Nice way to put it. As a D3 owner and an outdoor passionate i know the struggle. Its a beautiful and capable car. But sometimes all these electronics makes you think twice about reliability. But still on top of that it has taken me and my family over of thousand km trips. And still love to park her away so I can watch her as I come and go.
Spot on! I love every drive, still after four years. So I guess it’s only the want for some change that haunts me!😅
amazing video, amazing build, from an amazing dude.
Keep up the good work Kasper!
Thanks Julian!
Perfect video, wonderful cinematography. Looking forward to seeing more of your stories 😀
Thank you!
Another beautifully shot video Kasper. Always a pleasure to watch and dream.
Thanks Andrew!
The things you said at the end about short flashy video content vs longer with context, so true. I almost find it wierd that not more people think like that.
Great video as usual, keep going and being you!
Warms my heart to hear that people agree 🤝
Man, Thank you for these videos! So stoked every time I see a new one drop. I really appreciate the amount of time, and effort put into your films, it really shows. Since I've found your channel I've been inspired to start a build of my own with my jeep, With the goal to start traveling also.
Thank you for that! Weekend trips or full time, I can't recommend enough having some trips like these!
Masterful video - I so enjoy following you - the details you have applied to the car and the way you take care of it is pure inspirasjon. I have passed you a few times on the road in Norway - thank you for being one of the few LR D4 drivers that actually waves back when saluted :-)
Thank you! Always a pleasure getting waves back from Defender and older range rovers with my "some what new" LR
Stunning photography, great narration and interesting story…
Good job 👍👍👍
Thanks Mike 🙏
Talking on the newer LandRovers? Will you get the newest model eventually?
When the new defender becomes more affordable, I would definitely love one of those! either a 110 or a 90 actually
Absolutely stunning views
Absolutely suberb. Thank you for taking the time to film and edit. Many here really appreciate what you do.
Thank you 🤝
What is the name of your diagnostic computer? Can't see on video. Thank you :)
Can't really recall, I'll check!
I love following you! It is so inspiring and incredibly beautiful visually!
Thank you!🫶
You are doing it right, oh so right! And your photography is second to None! Incld your film story telling
Thanks man 🙏
Beautiful video, is it a LR 4? How you copeal with such an unreliable vehicle ?
LR4 yeah. And not really that unreliable as long as you maintain it tbh
Will you maybe make some video or list of places where you would recommend to camp near? :)
I usually never suggest specific spots online. More a region, so people go there and explore and look for a nice spot themselves without all going for the same spot.
If you’re wondering about something specific, you can always send me a message at Instagram!
Beautiful work sir, and very inspiring as well. I wish you all the best
Thanks 🙏
excellent filmmaking
Thank you 🙏
A safari lancia or alfa sounds like an amazing idea, id love to see something like that! Great video!
Yeah, I really miss the last alfa I had. In lately ive been really tempted to have a moderately lifted Lancia Delta HF or replica.
Just the build it self would be really fun!
So much peace in you videos and i just love your car for some reason i dont know😅❤️
hah thank you for that!
And again, great video, good content, show us your photos too please 👏
Thanks! Will show more of that as well 🙏
You brightened my day! Thank you, once again for sharing your inspirational journey with us.
and thank you for watching it!
Excellent, as promised, thank you.
Thanks 🙏
Another masterpiece👍 very well put together Kasper 👌
We love our Land Rover Defender and how we can get way off the beaten track and choose the view we want to wake up with. Never done it in the snow like you though!
Will be heading up to Norway in our Defender this summer. Hope to see you on the trails 👋
Summer is the best for traveling here! Many roads are closed during winter due to too much snow. So its always a pleasure to drive up the gravel roads deep into the mountains each summer.
@@kasperhoglund that’s great news Kasper 👍 would you show us a few of your favourites?
Amazing story & great car
Thanks!
@@kasperhoglund One of my favorite cars.
Just like you said, the pacing of your videos gives you time to take it all in, which is quite refreshing. Can't wait for the next one! One question: Do you do all the maintenance on the car by yourself?
Glad it’s appreciated! I do everything apart from timing belts and stuff like that that require tools I don’t have and some knowledge/balls to try it yourself 👍😅
@@kasperhoglund makes sense 😂 but great to know that that works, the car having more electronics and all. I just bought a Disco 2 and am happy that there's not "much" extra stuff.
A pleasure to watch, Kasper 👍👍
Thanks Rune 🙏
Great video Kasper! A long awaited summation of your journey simply put: "working to live, not living to work". And the Land Rover is awesome as well, I wouldn't do it any other way. Keep them coming. We're watching and listening!
Thanks Chris! 🤝
"Not like all travel videos need to be epic and loud" - well said! And no whoosh transitions and vortex camera moves. Great stuff, keep it up.
Yeah exactly what I had in mind! Thanks a lot man!
Smashed it again Kasper, great stuff 🙏
You always seem to find the right balance between your story / beautiful scenery and content about the awesome Discovery build.
Quickly becoming my new fav youtuber, keep it up dude 🤙
I really appreciate the support and feedback! Aiming to get out a lot more of these down the road. And show more of the car + the country!
calm and relaxed is way nicer too watch
Thank you
Thank you 🙏
If you keep at it mate this will blow up, love your format!
Thanks man🙏
You are the reason i want to try out this kind of life tho in a warmer climate haha
Hah, about time I get some warmer weather as well 😂🤝
Huge props for the amazing quality
Thank you!🙏
You are a voice of calm, In this crazy world
Thanks man!
You made the right choice with escaping the city.... now you have freedom and you can spend the night everywhere like you said '' work to live! not live to work....''. Your videos gives me impression because you are disciplined, motivated and also calm, i love how you enjoy everything. You will reach to 100k easily your vids are to good!
Thank you for that 🙏
Another banger of a video Kasper💪👊🙏
Thanks Erik🙏
Du leverer på et sky-høyt nivå! Dette er så bra 💯 Jeg har en Defender Puma og har lenge vurdert å «oppgradere» til en Disco 4 typ lik din…. Ser frem til neste video!
Tusen takk! Alltid fett med litt norske folk her.
Very Nice Kasper, you're the one who succeed in matching lifestyle content and deep relaxing perfectly. cheers
Thank you for that!🙏
Beautiful footage as always. Cinematic is a phrase which thousands claim to deliver but very few actually do. You surely do. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks! Really glad to hear that 🫶
Love your videos, man. One can only dream the life you’re having right now. Keep it up 👍.
Although you’ve mentioned British or Italian cars and I also love your Land Rover rig, I’m curious if you’ve a considered other SUVs like Land Cruisers or Pajeros/Shoguns into the mix when choosing a car?
Cheers man! Nothing against those, but just such a common choice and not a passion I have. So would feel pretty wrong for me 👍
@@kasperhoglund Gotcha! Late reply. Watching this again. YT notification somehow got lost to the weeds.
I look forward to watching your videos
Really nice to hear 🙏
