      @@peterjuulsgaard started Shooting again for Real 😉 had some issues with my shoulder and Death threats from the Americans, kind of took the Fun out of it, and American Bows cost too much for me too Ship to Sweden, we get like a round 40%+ on the purchase Sum in taxes 😕 but actually Reviewing a'Bow from an Swedish Bowyer that is the best i shooting ever, mostly cos the consistent gripp, but everything is right with it according to me, cut past center 100% center shoot and going to get some more Bows to Review from him, so Yes Grey is BACK 🤠 take care man.

    Even if I chose to never hunt again, I would still be shooting my bow. Such an enjoyable past time, watching the arrow fly in an arc to the target. I like to shoot at straw bales because there is nothing to aim at. It forces you to imagine a spot for aiming. The shape of the straw bale is similar to the torso on many large game animals. Because the arrow penetrates the bale significantly, you can also see the angle the arrow passes thru the target so you know how to aim at animals at different angles. They are also cheap, about 8 bucks a piece. My back yard is full of them spread out at different yardages from each other. Thanks for sharing the passion and knowledge.

    Pete I’m guess I’m getting old but I like the feel of the traditional limbs better on the back end. My shot breaks better pulling into a little tension as opposed to the spongy feeling of the Super Curve Limbs. The performance of the SC limbs are unmatched but I’m more accurate shooting my Palmer Trad Slams. Beautiful Blacktail bow they truly are works of art!

    Is it my imagination, or did you hunt roe deer less frequently in the past year? I really enjoy those hunts and hope to share in more of them in the future. You also need to figure out how to convince your truly lovely wife to make more cameo appearances! All the best, Chris (USA)

    Hello again Peter, Apology for slight digression, but I would like to ask another question re the power to hunt. I remember, you mentioned that in Denmark to hunt Roe Deer you will need min 40 joules. May I ask, if you hunt a small game ( i.e. pheasant, rabbit, hares) are you allowed to have less power, or 40 joules is minimum to bow hunt in Denmark?

    • @peterjuulsgaard
      @peterjuulsgaard  2 роки тому +1

      It is 40 joules for hunting in general. The Only difference is that you can hunt smallgame like pigeon and pheasant with only 20 gram arrow, and you can use 2 bladed broadheads, with minimum 20 mm cutting diameter. For roedeer it’s 40 joules, but minimum 25 gram arrow, with minimum 3 blades and cutting diameter at 25mm

    • @rafaljarosz7094
      @rafaljarosz7094 2 роки тому +1

      @@peterjuulsgaard Thank you Peter. If 40 joules are the minimum requirement for any hunt (Including small game), I understand that the 40 joules must be achieved with min. 20 gram arrow therefore with 25 grams the power for Roe Deer will be always greater.

    • @peterjuulsgaard
      @peterjuulsgaard  2 роки тому +1

      You can say that yes! But at the bowhunting test where the joules are beeing measured, we are testing for 40 joules with a 25 gram arrow for roedeer. The shooting test is also performed on roedeer targets. So if you are on the edge of the 40 joules with a 25 gram arrow, you would theoreticly have issues with a 20 gram arrow. The thing is that no one is coming out in the field to test your equipment when you are hunting, so you are good anyway.

      Thanks! Are you refering to the hunt in Spain? If so: I didn’t get a stag. It was a tough challenge on foot. Difficult to get close enough, but I had a few almost situations. But since it was spot’n stalk alone I didn’t really get any of it on video. Thanks for watching
