What Chris said about the rail being made backwards as far as the male/female side of where it locks, is spot on. From an engineering standpoint point, if even if you know nothing about skating, you know the direction of flow and that is straight up backwards!

I like skate too I'm 31 and have wanted to grab a board again for 2 years but haven't got around to it. I'm a big guy but when I was 12 I could drop in on a 6 foot quarter pipe Ollie and primo but I really want to get back to it
idk if u need this or not but progress is slow on a skateboard (most of the time) but once you start landing your first ollies and then doing them while moving it just goes up from there

These companies that make these plastic ramps need to learn that ramps need weight to add to stability. The bar set up is a guessing game I guess lol. The connection knotch is backwards and the base is way to weak. This is seriously dangerous!

Do a game of tag at a local park where everyone has 2 lives before they are out (Tag starter doesnt count). If someone steps off their board that person becomes the tagger (but doesnt lose a life). Last person remaining wins. Choose a park with a combination of transition and street.
@@brailleskateboarding Your best bet is to find some of the old 80s Thrasher and Skateboard world Mags and look for the actual Instructions they used to publish each month, then use those designs to create a pure 80s launch ramp . Then find an 80s board, trucks, wheels, lappers and rails to you can recreate an actual 80s launch sesh . As a kid in the 80s in Australia this is the closest we got to real flying . Look forward to seeing what you come up with . Thanks for the heart btw lol
190 dollars? I can get the ply wood and square metal tubing and hardware for 50 bucks and pay someone to assemble it for another 50 if I want it high quality.
Probably about $8-12 in metal and another $10 in ABS plastic to buy the materials they put into that skate ramp & rail combo. That's being generous on the quality of metal as they're probably using super cheap recycled My Dew metal from China. And all for just $119.99🤔

If it feels too big try a smaller board. I skate a 7.75 because I'm a smaller person and 8 feels to big to me.
Dont worry about it, if you skate enough you'll get used to it and 8 inch is perfect for a beginner
