I Do Apologise If The Audio In this Video Is Worse Then Usual If I Can’t Find A Way To Make The Blue Yeti Not Sound Old I’ll Switch Back To The Previous Microphone

I mean, if I was a pirate Goomba and a skeleton walked up to me, I'd also give my stars up for free. That shits scary...

@MPhussar, here how I would fix it:
    - DK's Treetop Temple:
    - Add a Pink Boo Hut on the top of the board.
    - Goomba's Booty Boardwalk
    - Make the Star cost between 20-40 coins.
    - King Boo's Haunted Hideaway
    - Make the board a bit bigger
    - Shy Guy's Perplex Express
    - Include more Kamek Happening Spaces
    - Have Kamek be a passable board event to pay him to change the train cars.
    - Koopa's Tycoon Town
    - Perfect the way it is.
    - Bowser's Warped Orbit
    - Completely change the layout to make the gimmick work. Look at Snowflake Lake and Pyramid Park's layouts. They work with their gimmicks.
    Others:
    - Fix the item system
    - Thwomp Candy will let you keep the coins you steal, but you will stop on the same space as the first opponent you run into. (Same as yours)
    - Bowlo Candy will let you steal 20 Coins. (Same as the Story Mode)
    New Items
    - Pink Boo Candy. Summons Pink Boo to steal a Star from your opponent via Dart Wheel. If the opponent has no stars, then Pink Boo will steal 20 coins instead. (Available on all boards except for Koopa's Tycoon Town and Bowser's Warped Orbit. Cost 30 coins for 1st and 2nd Place, 20 coins for 3rd and 4th Place.)
    - Poison Candy. The effect player will roll a 1-3 Dice Block on their next turn chosen by the Dart Wheel. (Cost 5 coins for all placings.)
    Final 5 Turns.
Worked differently to the Final 5 Turns roulette from the GameCube era.
    - Coin Multiplier x3. Blue Spaces give you 9 coins, while Red Spaces take away 9 coins. (Appears on all boards)
    - Receive 40 coins. 4th Place will simply receive 40 coins. (Appears on all boards)
    - Receive Duelo Candy. 4th Place will simply receive a Duelo Candy. (Appears on all boards, including Koopa's Tycoon Town)
    - Chump Charity. Same as normal
    Minigames.
    - Make all minigames Classic and Pro Controller compatible. Games like Crank-to-Rank would work as a button masher.

I'll just put some thoughts in here. just putting a different fan perspective into the mix since some of the ideas do sound well thought out, just curious what your view on the contrary is.
After all these years, Treetop temple is our least favourite board by far lmao.
It's mainly because of how big the board is and how it doesn't really mesh with the candy system well when there is a bit of a reliance on tag based candies and lack of a central area to abuse those candies unlike every other board where either they make the map wide candies more impactful (aka springo) such as recovering/riding off of others from far away in Hideaway, Tycoon & Boardwalk or give more opportunities to tag players like in Perplex, Warped Orbit & even Boardwalk again lol.
Despite having fun candies like Bloway + Weeglee and the board having the highest amount of different candies, it still doesn't feel like enough going on/it feels a bit too bloated when there is a lot of candies in the mix that get in the way of each other and the layout wants you to have a specific candy in a particular area you may not have eg the top and right area encourages the tag candies, middle encourages slowgo, movement benefits everywhere, but the middle section, etc.
Also will say, I still kind of wouldn't change anything about Treetop. Wasn't a big fan of the design, but considering it's your favourite, then there's at least something in here for you at least.
    For Boardwalk,
You still want to buy items on the basis of, it's more chances to ride off of/discourage your opponents. Sure it's possible to just dolphin and rely on the free candy + fishing events, you risk not being able to stockpile and counter whatever the others are planning.
Kinda not a big fan of paying for the star on the basis of free stars speed up the early game and even during late games, it just makes the candies even more important than before. That was the risk reward element, you have less chances of preventing bloway, ending event & springo, piggybacking using springo or even going full salvo with duelo.
    For Perplex Express,
Hilariously you are the first person I have ever heard call the board boring.
This time the changes don't seem that bad and neither is the change for Warped Orbit or Hideaway. It's just kinda awkward to visualise this since all the boards mentioned played into their short space count & linearity well with the events being broken to abuse in Warped Orbit and giving multiple opportunities and risks with the Bullet/Bowser candies, Hideaway encourages you to either chicken or aggression to find or wait out the pitfalls & Perplex offering plenty of opportunities to abuse the tag candies, but offering counters like the vents to travel. Just saying this sense I myself am not sure how well it would play by adding the changes.
If there's a board that would benefit from a change the most, it's Tycoon town.
There actually can be a few changes. The one obvious change is to the cap. It's 100 and it works well in regular games, in higher turns, the option of having more can be a benefit and even on regular games, still offers the option to stockpile into one hotel to lock it down.
If not, there was also the potential of adding more bowser spaces only. Destroying more coins and more opportunities to rip those resources away, although it can be a bit of a blancing act in case it's landed on too much. That's the problem with trying to change somehing, it could end up breaking the board.
Just funny since there's no duel spaces, we have duel candies and they're kinda more op than the spaces. You can snipe the players with springo or on boards like Perplex, they're more of a threat because of the linearity and they take away more stars. and you can buy them. and at worst they're still really good movement utility. And there's no risk losing the duel and-
They're still really fun imo. Like it encourages you to be good at the minigames and can steal stars to anyone that is ahead. Same time it can be a bit too spammy using it all the time and does mean a player generally better at minigames is kinda always at an advantage.
Lucky spaces really aren't that op... like at all.
They have so much counterplay involved on every board it's on and can actually screw you over in some cases be it from being piggybacked with springo and going neutral with them, sending you back spaces like in Hideaway and Perplex where you are vulnerable to the bowser cart/ it's quicker to get 2 stars instead of 1 free star, to even just leaving you vulnerable after an attack when you are relying hard on slowgo and not moving much with things like weeglee or the other tag based candies.
And I still haven't said every single counter, but you get the gist. It's the most common complaint, but this is the most skill issue complaint and kinda shows the people that don't know how mario party 8 works.
It is still a nice space such as being able to stall with it in Warped Orbit and Perplex & is still a nice bonus especially if no one has springo, you're better off just ignoring it on most boards except Tycoon and... Treetop temple lmao.
Yeah the linearity on every other board makes the coin tag candies still quite useful. You have the potential to tag multiple players when everyone is going the same orientation and there are often times when players get squashed in. Granted they still weren't candies you'd go out of your way to buy, but being able to discourage following players or destroy more than one players economy with thwomp or bowlo was still always nice if you got it. Just funny since it really does seem because your favourite board is the least linear, those candies have even less uses in your eyes.
Though the change to Bowlo/thwomp is understandable, it's more threatening/rewarding than before, but i'd argue that the ability to tag multiple players even with how much more powerful it is should be kept. Keep in mind, often the coins don't become as important especially when we have Boardwalk, Perplex & Temple where money is less of an issue and you still have the cashzap and movement candies for counterplay. Granted it would make the early games of the other boards worse, though you know rarity or somehing :D
Steal star candy aka duelo. It's honestly kinda more balanced as is considering it's already spammy, but at least it isn't guaranteed, so at least there's more consideration & has utility even if you aren't near anyone. Feel Duelo is more balanced than either a candy than never appears or a more guaranteed candy that would probably break the game more.
1-3 candy. Actually have little complaints. Would be a fun candy to use, though would be nicer to make it rarer. It's just that a slowgo the others are forced to use is a fun concept, just kind of abuseable with things like making spaces to set up a tag candy like bloway or duelo would really suck on boardwalk for example and can kinda be guaranteed when it's multiple people attacking 1st place for example.
Just make all the motion controls into buttons lmao
Making Duelo also wager your own stars is also another interesting change. It's one of those things that would stop the reliance on them for desperate plays, though is another change where it's kinda fun keeping it broken especially when it's a wide game of cat and mouse.
