thank you so so much
"Thank you, that was for my mother" After playing I See Them Lined Up
Saw them in Prague on this tour in Eden. They got to the venue about two hours late, set up the gear themselves, bunny rabbits, teddy bears etc... then DESTROYED us with beauty and power. ASTOUNDING CONCERT.
i've said this before, but i've always found it funny that when touring The Great Annihilator, they played majority Soundtracks stuff (an album that wouldnt come out for a few years), and when touring Soundtracks, they barely played any. I know how the Swans tour cycles work, but still funny to me. Annihilator never got a proper tour. But, imo, quality of setlists and all that, Swans Are Dead captured their best live era.
but jesus christ, the amount of people that talk... i saw Swans a few weeks back, and holy shit, the amount of people that talk during a show during the performance... wtf?! Like, here, Lavender is playing, a gorgeous, slow, quieter song, and I can hear convos going on. get it together, people.
It would have been amazing to see this tour. The transformation of style between Love of Life and the more "post rock-ish" stuff from 95-97.
This version of animus is incredible
Just great, as always for this band. And, with Jarboe, indeed...
Jarboe
I’m so sick of people saying Swans were never as good without Jarboe, every iteration of Swans is awesome, change is good, in 2024 they are as soul moving and powerful as ever, get over hankering for the past (my opinion), Swans are the greatest band of my lifetime period, I saw the Vekvets in Europe on their brief reform tour and they were not impressive as I’d hoped, they were the fathers of all the😮😅 music I love but failed in that tour, Swans have never failed, simply the best modern electric music ever created and performed, I will trust Michael Gira whatever he gives me, my spiritual genius
Superb !!!!
swans was never the same after jarboe left
Yeah they got even better lol

Yeah considering that was over a decade later and they were meant to be a new thing
I'd argue it's more that Michael isn't a horribly misanthropic, depressed alcoholic anymore. He's got a proper life together.
👌
great audio! too bad the people in the audience didn't realize they were listening to some of the greatest songs ever written, or they would've shut up.
They were just enjoying the moment. I'm just listening The Sound and the croud is clapping and cheering them. They are on trance.
its the 90s we werent so uptight live in the moment etc
Otherworldly version of Animus, it's highlight here... Very sad that Gira drop this song fron Swans Are Dead. IMO this fits much better than mediocre rendition of Your Property.
Overall I like this boot more than Swans Are Dead White Disc. Unedited, complete full show with beautiful sound and great audience atmosphere
why does everyone talk like they are experts in music, they pigeonhole bands instead of listening to them, why do they have to say I went to see them if no one cares about what you saw... swans is great and jarboe is light years higher than lydia lunch
are you fighting alone?
