Hi Jay - Thanks so much for posting this video and the follow-up video. Really sold us on the property. We just booked a package for the Maya section for late summer (and purchased the cancellation insurance as well just in case we're not yet in the clear for vacations by then). Cheers!
Great review! Have been here twice and is still my favorite resort. So much to do and see! Your review echoes my thoughts exactly! Looking forward to going back here soon!
We're actually returning this June / July. Can't wait to revisit the resort!
Awesome review thank you. Planning on going with the family January 2021 first time. Had to cancel our March break vacation this year due to Covid. Hope you are all safe and well. Take care. Regards from Canada😊
JaysDMC , great vid. The family are looking into booking and your vid is by far the most comprehensive review of the hotel. One question, this is the same hotel as del mar? We went the moon palace which had 3 hotels in one location, I presume this the same......so I presume regardless of which hotel you have access to all the facilities ?? Thanks and great vid
Thnx for the detailed review we are looking to go hopefully next year
Great review - my family has stayed at the Lindo twice and the Maya once - it is the only resort that my girls now 19 and 16 keep asking to return... great for all ages... there has been several renos since this video was shot (new beach restaurant and additions to the market including a cotton candy/sweet factory). Love the JaysDMC reviews.
Thank you so much! I appreciate the feedback. I hope we make it there this summer. I'd love to see the renovations you're speaking of.
Drinking game......every time the narrator says "what not" you must take a shot.
Just kidding, your video is helpful.
Hahaha!!! We'll all be on the floor in no time!!!
Super video. Merci beaucoup d'avoir pris le temps de partager ça avec nous.
J'ai hâte d'y être! ☺🌞
Great video and very accurate. We are at Lindo now and your videos were helpful. The main differences I see are disco are only open after 10pm and adults only, casino and sweet home are closed. Thank you for your excellent work! Cheers.
Oh wow!! The Casino didn't last long... sad to hear about the candy shop as well. Hope you love the rest of the place the way we do!
Love-Love the Iberostar! I am a travel agent and the Iberostar properties is always my 'go to' for the Riviera Maya!
it's a home run each time! I have an updated video on this very resort if you're interested. It may help you sell the idea of traveling here. It's 100% the very best in my opinion.

What a great video! Tugs at my heart because we have not been back to this Iberstar campus in over seven years. We loved everything about it. Have stayed in Lindo section once, Maya section once , and Del Mar probably four or five times. When we go back it always feels like we are home again. We started staying at Iberostar resorts in 2001, immediately after 911. We talked over our decision to go or cancel this trip, and we thought about it at great length. We concluded that we were not going to let the bastards instill fear in us and keep us frozen and unable to carry on, so off we went without incident. This first trip to an Iberostar was to the other Iberostar property. Closer to playa Del Carmen. You can walk from this property to playa Del Carmen, however, it is a distance and a good walk for people who are fit enough to walk at least a mile or so? Not sure the exact distance. This second property has two sides that are mirror images of each other.. one side is called Quetal and the other side is Tuscan. We have stayed at both. This property is far smaller than Playa Paraiso.. both are very nice and staff were gracious and The way cool part of this property is dense Forrest with paths so you can walk through, listening to “los monos” ( monkeys), and other animals.
Sorry this is so long. I just love this company and their properties. You can’t go wrong. . And this video highlights the property very well. Thanks for making the video.
Regards
Ilsa
That's great, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I'm happy to say my family and I returned to this resort last summer. it's better than ever! If you have a moment, check it out. ua-cam.com/video/VnMrd98k4c0/v-deo.html
Love this Iberostar resort. Been to the Beach level, Maya and the Grand. Amazing people
still my very favorite!
omg thank you for your video. you literally made us to select this hotel :) I know the video is from 5 years ago, hoping all remains the same :D
You're very welcome! If it helps, I returned to this resort a few years later and it was even better! Check out the more recent review I did at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo!

LOVE THIS VIDEO!!! Great tips, great structure breaking everything down. I just booked this resort for my next vacation and this video is making me SO excited to visit!
That's great! Hope you have a blast. If you can, report back on your experience. I'd love to hear.
JaysDMC I just realized we booked the Paraiso Beach. But we will be vlogging our experience there!
@@AlyssaGaiga Nice! Looking forward to seeing that!
Jay, my family and i are traveling to this hotel in 2 weeks and let me say, this is the best, most thorough review of a property ever. Thank you so much for taking the time, I really feel like i know what to expect. I had to go in and like this video from both our accounts. Have a great day!!!
I'm so happy to hear that! Thank you. I was lucky enough to revisit this resort again in 2019 and it was even better. If you'd like to see - ua-cam.com/video/VnMrd98k4c0/v-deo.html

Agreed! LOL It's funny what you don't hear as you speak it. However, when you listen back you ask yourself "Is that how you really sound???" HA HA HA, thanks for watching.
Outstanding video review. We have stayed at the Maya, and the Grand, but we love the whole resort. By far, the most informative and honest review we have yet seen. A big thumbs up👍👍👍👍
Thank you very much! I really appreciate that. I had the pleasure of returning to this resort back in 2019 and I'm happy to say that its even nicer now! ua-cam.com/video/VnMrd98k4c0/v-deo.html
I chose this resort because of your video. Agree with everything you mentioned 💯
That's great to hear! Thank you very much for that!
Great review and what not
Thanks!
@@JaysDMC Booked our vacation to go there in October. Can't wait!
That’s hilarious! I came for the comments to see about the what nots!
Loved this place, particularly drunk guests falling in the ponds at 15:30 😂
HAHAHA, been here 2x. Haven't seen that personally but I'm sure it happens all of the time.
My sons loved it there. Highlight of the trip was the kids club. Beer on tap was weak. I had a good time regardless and I dream about going to a resort like I did then, 2 years ago. My sons will never forget. For me the highlight were the fries at the beach area.
Happy to hear you had a great time. That's awesome! we actually went back again as going once just wasn't enough. I really enjoyed their updates to the campus. If you're interested - ua-cam.com/video/VnMrd98k4c0/v-deo.html
Looks like a good resort. We stayed at iberostar cancun in the hotel zone in 2018 and the food there was worst than anywhere I have been to. The buffet is the only option for lunch and it is so bad. We got food poisoning from eating at seaside restaurant. The food was just awful there. I put iberostar on my black list ever since. I have seen some good reviews about this location and would love to try. But the experience with iberostar cancun is holding me back.
Sorry to hear about the food poisoning. NOT FUN at all!
Since shooting this review, we returned for a 2nd time and had an even better time - ua-cam.com/video/VnMrd98k4c0/v-deo.html
two more weeks till i get to go here! i’ve been watching vids and they are making me more excited
My favorite resort ever!!!
This review is 100% truth. We stayed at the Lindo 2 years ago. Looking to book again in August. I think we will book the Maya instead this time. The food was my only complaint as well but that is just the bland flavors of any resort you go to over here. I now know what I really like, the grouper fish is my go to. Yes the booze, sports bar, pools, beach all are amazing.
My best meal was actually on the chitsa nitsa excursion. That bbq lunch at the cenotes was incredible. The Mayan people really know how it should be done. I recommend that excursion as a must.
Awesome video man. I think we are heading back to Iberostar. Is there another resort on this level? This much amenities?
great question. My wife and I have a friendly debate over this topic. For her, she's all for the Barcela Maya resort in Riviera Maya. On the resort itself you can swim with the dolphins, the food was better, and they had a huge mall on the campus. The cons (in my opinion), booze was OK, you had to be dressed up for the evening restaurants (shoes, long pants, etc...), and the campus isn't as large as the Lindo. However, I'd totally go back to Barcela Maya and revisit it. Perhaps next year....
@@JaysDMC I've stayed at the Barcelo Maya Palace (top tier) and it was great. I am booked for Iberostar Maya for October after watching your review. I was hoping to find a resort as good as the Barcelo when shopping around. Cant wait to go!
@@northerncoder That sounds great! Hope you have a blast. Reply back when you return, can't wait to hear the good news!

That's great! My wife just surprised me with tickets to this resort for my Birthday. I'm super exited to see what changed and what hasn't. We're going at the end of June into early July.

Congrats! We're going to Planet Hollywood in 2 weeks. Can't wait to be back in MX. Stay tuned for a review! Enjoy your trip
I heard that the swim up bar was closed down during covid. Does anyone know if it has opened up yet? We have 4-5 couples looking for a resort to come down to in February 2022 and the swim up bar is a must have for this group! LOL
@@mikeoostendorp8057 as of now it's open
Just got back & loved it!! The only complaint is the food on buffet could of been hotter, even warmer!! But anyway it was all Very good! Definitely going back!!
Welcome back! Are you able to serve yourself or are they still serving people at the buffet? Last I heard, during the height of covid they weren't allowing people to touch ANYTHING. So multiple servers were lined up to put buffet food on your plate.
@@JaysDMC We just returned from Lindo yesterday (3.22.2022). You served yourself for the most part at the buffet, with few exceptions (likely for the more expensive / higher demand items). I recall that bacon at breakfast they served you, for example.
@@FRCP12b6 That makes sense. Portion control is important when trying to ration out the more popular foods. Hope you had a good time!
@@JaysDMC Yes. We had a great time. We actually booked it before we saw your two videos on the Lindo, but your videos were by far the best coverage wise and helped reinforce that we had booked the right place before we actually visited. The place has changed a bit since your latest video, including great new water slides. The kids loved those.
@@FRCP12b6 A WATERSLIDE!?!?! That's awesome! Where is the waterslide? Which part of the campus? Now I want to go back!!!
Great video and what not

Great review. Going for the first time in the beginning of June. Can't wait. How was the ocean? Warm? Fun?
You're going to love it. Of all my destinations, this is my very favorite. The beach is clean and the water is warm. I'm so jealous! Enjoy and have a great time. Please come back and let me know how your trip went.
Im going there next week im so very excited!

I saw Green waterslides online...were they out of order? Great video btw.

I went NOV 2019 and I loved it so much that I’m goin back SEPT 2020 I hope!! Great resort
We're so tempted. The prices are SO LOW right now.
JaysDMC yeah we couldn’t pass the price, 1,300 for 9 days at lindo
Nice review! We've been to several resorts all along the Riviera Maya and I think this one will be our next pick. I can relate with your opinions on the food though lol.
I'll be back there in 30 days. Can't wait!

Great review, I stayed here for, a week in Jan, amazing resort, I can't wait to go back, I loved the food and the whole experience!
I'm so excited! We fly out a week from today to revisit this resort! Can't wait!!!
JaysDMC waiting for updates of your second visit.
Have you gone to other riviera maya/ Cancun all inclusive resorts, how do they compare?
Thx
I'm here now and we're having a blast! Stay tuned!!!
Was the water Cold??? Going in January??
We are looking at a place for 8 adults and 3 kids (ages 8-4) and I was wondering if the ocean is good to snorkel in? My son (8) and I LOVE to snorkel. Also did you ever visit the kids club? Is there a kids club? We are normally Cruise people but we have to hit up an all inclusive (a few adults have a fear of boats) for this trip. I agree with you, it gets boring after a while but this place looks awesome!! A lot to do for sure!
Hi! That's a lot of people, sounds like a great vacation!!! As for snorkeling, I never participated in anything like that. However, at the time we were there, they offered a snorkeling activity package. If I remember correctly, you met with a snorkeling captain somewhat early in the morning, geared up and practiced in one of the pools. By mid morning everyone was in the ocean snorkeling around. Really cool!
There is a kids club here but we didn't check it out. By that time, my girls weren't interested in any of it. All they wanted to do was play in the pool.
We went on our first cruise 2 years ago. I didn't think I'd love it. I was so wrong. It was amazing. We have our vacations planned out for the summer of 2019. However, for 2020, we'll be cruising!
the maya side...water is choppy..not best for snorkeling
Looking forward to seeing your end of June review
love your reviews!
Thank you very much! We're here now at the Lindo and loving every minute of it!
This hotel is great! I had the best vacations ever last August
My absolute favorite!!!
Thank you very much. From you opinion, do you think the Maya is good, or the Paraiso Beach is good enough ? (price / quality / what you get). Thanks again.
They're all great but honestly, the Paraiso is perfectly fine.
I love this resort so much that we returned a few years later to enjoy the updates.
ua-cam.com/video/VnMrd98k4c0/v-deo.html
We are going June 2023 I love your room. What number was it please!
For that trip we stayed in room 5451
@@JaysDMC Thank looks like a amazing room with a nice view of the pool. Do you recommend any other? Our first time going. Would have liked a ocean view but I don't think they offer that. Will be traveling with my daughters family also. Maybe a joining rooms? Also how did you get to the hotel? Love your video!
@@donnasmith7169 Thank you Donna! Joining rooms are great! My girls are now past the age of sharing a room with my wife and I. So we now do joining rooms.
I'm inclined to say they offer a room with a clean view of the ocean but I can't speak from experience.
When we purchased the vacation package from our travel agent we bought travel vouchers. This guaranteed a driver would be waiting for us at Cancun International Air when we landed and the same for when it was time to go home.
I have watched both your reviews now and they are very helpful. Which would you prefer? Barcelo Maya or Paraiso Lindo? Which has better pools? Better food? Better beach? Better nightlife? Better on site activities?
BTW we are going without kids so that part doesn't matter. We like the idea of both of these places being so big that they don't seem overrun by kids
So they let the kids stay in club? Me and my husband are looking to go here bc it looks amazing but we want adult nightlife for sure! The iberostar grand was a little too much or we would deff go there with it being adults only.
At different times of the night kids are indeed allowed. However, as the night progresses it becomes an adult only club.
I just got back yesterday from the resort I was at maya though and it was amazing
I have a good friend of mine that went to the Maya. If I'm not mistaken, the Maya is even nicer than the Lindo. Glad you had a good time.
JaysDMC maya, Lindo ?
Thinking about going. What about dancing.
Thx
Hey There! So I wanted to say I loved your reviews - Really give a feel for the place. I wondered how you guys did the sleeping arrangements? I see the rooms are a bit weird, king or two doubles, and that not so comfortable pull out. What did you guys do -two doubles and share? or ask for cot beds? Thanks :)
Hi and thank you for the feedback. WE had 2 rooms. One with a king bed and the attached room had 2 full beds.
Awesome, detailed video. Perfect in our decision making. Keep up the great work. I'm a subscriber! Quick question....did anyone that you know of get sick on the food or drinks? We have sensitive stomachs. Thx!
Thank you for the feedback. No, I've received feedback about anyone getting sick. Knock wood!
Great review here’s my dilemma couples only do you recommend Iberia star riviera maya or royalton bravo punta canta. Both reviews were awesome where would you go back first.
The only couples only my wife and I ever visited was Dreams Excellence. It was outstanding but that was almost 15 years ago.
Did u have access to the waterpark?
I'm inclined to say the answer is yes. However, we never went to the water park. We remained on the resort grounds for the entire trip.
Great video hoping to go in October 2019.
Congrats! Hope you have a great time!
Great vid! The only downside for me is the kids that might be running around.
Yeah if you're not traveling with kids, this is a valid concern.
We just came back from an amazing all inclusive in MX for adults only. Check this out if you're interested - ua-cam.com/video/DVaWWLwEVHg/v-deo.html
Awesome review, you seem like normal family guy. Question though barcelo or this resort? I have been to barcelo 2 times and love the beach there, blue water. Thank you.
Lindo is my favorite. Barcelo is a close second but I highly recommend the Lindo!
I've seen complaints about how cold the water is in the pool? How was it for you in mid afternoon?
I never had an issue with pool water temperature. I wouldn't lie and say the pool is WARM or HEATED but it certainly wasn't COLD.
We were always comfortable and had a great time there!
We had such a great time here, we returned a few years later. There have been many updates - ua-cam.com/video/VnMrd98k4c0/v-deo.html
Have you ever stayed at the Barcelo resort just south of Playa Del Carmen? We always stay there and I'm wondering how it compares to the Iberostar.
No I haven't, sorry. What are your experiences with that resort. I'm interested!
Wow best review! We are going in April! Do you know if they had adjoining rooms like yours but at the double room rate? We are 4 of us with a baby so it would be easier.
Unfortunately we won't be in Mexico in April. We're headed back to Disney for the week. As much as I enjoy Disney, I wish I was going to Mexico! Maybe this summer...
I'd be lying if I told you an exact number but I remember the price difference for 1 big room vs the 2 adjoining was barely anything major. Maybe $500 for the week which is less than 100 bucks a day. I couldn't turn that down!
Honest review
I heard that the swim up bar was closed down during covid. Does anyone know if it has opened up yet? We have 4-5 couples looking for a resort to come down to in February 2022 and the swim up bar is a must have for this group! LOL
I can't speak for Iberostar but I just came back from Planet Hollywood in Cancun and the swim up bars were all open. Everything was in full swing.
Great review! Do you have to make reservations for dinner?
If you're going to a specialty restaurant, yes. The concierge will assist with that as well. Very painless. If you're going for buffet, then no. No appointment needed.
I was there in 2019, Maya Palace!
How was your visit? We always have a blast here!
Hi great review man keep it up, if you checkin Lindo can you still avail Maya and Palace facility’s? Thanks
Thank you. Yes, we were free to visit those areas as well.
Can you give us a hint on how warm is the ocean water vs the pool ???
The pool at this resort is refreshing - my wife says it's a little chilly but when it's in the 90s, that feels great! I just landed from Azul Beach in Cancun and their pool was quite warm.
The pool is a bit cooler than the ocean water from what I observed.
Great review. I have 4 girls and You convinced me to book a trip there in April. I’m a big beach and ocean guy and the last time I was in riviera maya their was a big seaweed problem. Do you know if that is still the case ?
Thanks! The seaweed is seasonal. I've never been there in May. However, I can tell you that when there are seaweed issues, they work around the clock to clean it up and eliminate as much as possible. It's quite impressive to see how fast and efficiently they work.
One last question isn't the "MAYA and the "LINDO" connected and if so what is the difference do you know ? The reason im asking is I just started looking and it looks like the "MAYA" is about $300-$400 cheaper for the week and its rated a half star better by APPPLE but both have great reviews !
As far as I know, the Maya is supposed to be better than the Lindo but I could be wrong. I've never stayed at the Maya so I can't compare. We always book our trips through D&T travel. My wife's cousin is the owner and she always does great by us. Their phone number is Phone: (718) 987-8195. It's worth checking them out to see if they can compete with the quotes you're getting. Please feel free to tell them you know Jay and Jen through youtube. :-)
They have sister hotels. The beach and del mar are sister hotels. They are the low end hotels on the resort. They share pools, bars restaurants, etc.
Same with lindo and maya. They are the middle level hotels but the maya is higher end than the lindo. A few years ago they started taking away parts of the maya property from lindo guests. Which I understand because you used to be able to stay at the lindo cheaper but use the maya bars and restuarants. The maya has one or two private pools, and a couple bars and restuarants exclusively for maya guests.
Then there is the grande hotel which is the top end and adults only.
The lindo is probably the best value. You get access to the wave pool and lazy river and can use the beach/del mar pools, which I think are better. All the hotels share the same beach.
Hi my frist time coming to Mexico with my 30 year old daughter has leaning disabilities is there entertainment at night time please
When we were there, we spent most of our evenings walking around the mall they have on campus. At the time there was a carousel, stores with great air conditioning, and places for snacks.
I'm sure they have entertainment but when we were there, my kids were a lot younger so we didn't have an opportunity to stay out late.
I returned to this resort in 2019 and it was even better!! Of every place I've visited, this still remains my most favorite.
Thanks for the video! I am considering taking my son here soon but could really not get an idea if there are a lot of hidden costs/fees? Do you mind clarifying that for me? Thanks! Janice from Charlotte
Hi! We didn't experience anything with regards to hidden fees or unexpected costs. Other than tips and a la carte options, we didn't pay for anything additional. They did try to up-sell us on an upgraded suite when we arrived but that's typical and standard with just about any resort we've stayed at. Also, for a day or so we were approached a handful of times to join a time share seminar. We respectfully declined both offers and just went about our way.
JaysDMC Thanks so much!
Do they have Miller lite or Coorslight?
Not that I recall. I remember a lot of Tecate and SOL. There may be others but I do not recall ever seeing any of our domestic beers there.
Both Tecate and SOL are amazing, btw!
Nice review man!
Do you think that this is the best resort there? Me and my future wife are deciding our honeymoon.

Which resort do you prefer gran Riviera maya or iberostar
I haven't had the pleasure of visiting Gran Riviera yet. I honestly don't know much about it. However, I am going back to the Lindo in a few weeks. I'll keep everyone updated with how well it's aged.
First time going to cancun/plays del Carmen. Kids 5 and 8. A little overwhelmed. Looking for a top notch fun place. What would you suggest? Thanks!
My overall favorite is still the Iberostar Lindo. We actually returned to this resort back in 2019 and it was even better. There's so much for the kids to do!

Your most recent video. Thanks!
@@erikaestes5747 the seaweed is seasonal. Each resort treats it differently. At Iberostar I vividly recall a nearly 24 hour daily effort to clean it. They had tractors running up and down the shore to collect and dispose it. Some resorts are a little more laid back about it and as that seaweed sits in the sun it starts to stink!

If I understand correctly, the Maya is more upscale than the Lindo.
Which resorts have better lazy rivers?
it's a toss up between here, the Royalton in DR, and Planet Hollywood in Costa Mujeres.
hi, for your opinion, which resort has the best food ever ?
Lindo for Riviera Maya, Mexico and the Royalton Bavaro in DR. Hands down! I have updated reviews on both resorts. Feel free to check them out.
Thanks
Great video, we are planning a trip to the area with grandkids Did you go off resort? Did you feel safe there? I’ve been hearing bad things about Mexico is the resorts areas pretty safe?
Though we feel safe, we rarely ever go out or off the campus. Only because we just like relaxing and not having to deal with travel or a schedule. It's nice to have nothing to do when you're on vacation, you know?
We've been to Mexico a dozen times now. My wife and I have done shopping tours and things like that. It's fun. Not the highlight of my time there. When we go to Cancun and stay on the main strip, we go out and walk around. It's like walking around NYC.
JaysDMC oh great thanks for the information 😀🤗
The resorts are safe. Tourists are some of the dealers. Best customers. They have to be careful not to scare them away.
Why all videos are shy about the beaches? Are there any rocks, is it shallow, etc?
Hi, can you answer this question about the beaches?
@@schavarin8797 No, they cannot because the beaches are bad!
How did you enjoy the japanese restaurant?
Funny you ask. To me, Japanese food is hit or miss when we go to resorts. I'd say it was good. Not life changing though!
No lie, some of the best Japanese food I had when away was on the Norwegian Gem cruise. Phenomenal!
best lazy river you've ever been to?
Here, Planet Hollywood in Cancun, and the Royalton in Punta Cana!
Watched a few of your reviews on different resorts and we are getting ready to book one for this upcoming July and was wondering which one you would choose ? About 9 months ago I watched your Barcelo Maya Caribe I believe review and this morning watched a few of your newer ones so was wondering which one you would pick ? We have a 11 1/2 year old daughter if that helps?
Thanks,
Hi! Personally, I'm partial to the Lindo myself. I thought it was a better resort in terms of campus layout. Especially for teens and preteens. When we were there last my son was around 15 years old. He eventually met some kids his age and they'd wander around all day. The Barcelo Maya has a nice campus as well but I felt the Lindo has more places to explore and wander than the others.
Is that the location/resort you would stay at if you were booking something in the next week or two or would you stay at a different resort and possibly at a different location ?
Thanks again!@@JaysDMC
@@Charles-nk3ep Funny you ask - I just turned 40. For my 40th, my wife surprised me with tickets to the Lindo. She knows how I really liked it and apparently suggested it to everyone that ever asked. So I guess we're putting our money where my mouth is! LOL. I'll be there late June into early July.
so that's the one you would pick correct? If so I'm booking it lol ! I Like your reviews so if thats the one then thats the one! We plan on going July 25 for 7 nights. Is there any type of room upgrade at that resort like there was at the Caribe that you said was worth it ?@@JaysDMC
my daughter al she will want to do is be in the pool/beach 24/7 so if there is another one that you think is better for adults then let me know please. Where do you usually book through ? Apple Vacations? Trying to get prices as we speak!
Was this property much better than barcelo maya ? We have changed reservations to here now
Both are great but I prefer Ibersostar.
@@JaysDMC I was hoping you were going to say that 👍🏝
Wow you say what not alot...but great videos either way
Do you have to pay for food? I may book this place. I never been to an all inclusive
No, it's all inclusive. You will have to make reservations for some of the restaurants and you may have to pay something for some of the fancy wines and whatnot, but other than that, no - you don't have to pay for anything. It's all included.
Hey you recommend iberostar lindo or the barcelo maya palace in rivera maya for kids mostly 3 and 6 years old
though I like them both very much, in my opinion Lindo is the better resort.
@@JaysDMC I thought the Barcelo is the better one based on what you said in your video
@@nycas2192 We had a blast at both resorts. In my opinion I like the Lindo better. I'm returning there at the end of June. In time, I would return to the Barcelo Maya resort as well. Both had great pros and very few cons. But in my opinion, Lindo was the winner.
Why is it better? I’ve been Barcelo and i thought it was great.
We loved them both as well. However, IMO, the food at the Lindo was better than what was offered at Barcelo Maya. As much as I liked the layout of the resort at Barcelo (the dolphins, mall, beach, etc), I happened to like Lindo better. I felt the layout offered a bit more for those that like to roam.
How long do the bars stay opened to? Is there 24/7 room service?
I don't want to mislead you. I've never been to the bars past midnight. My guess is at around 2am they start shutting down.
Room service is 24 hrs a day if I recall correctly. That's standard practice in most places.
Hope this helps!
@@JaysDMC thank you. Looks like a great place. Heading there in 1 week's time with the family.
@@NDounoul this is hands down my favorite resort. I returned a few years later and they updated it quite a bit. If it helps, check this out! ua-cam.com/video/VnMrd98k4c0/v-deo.html
This resort or Grand Palladium?
Unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure of visiting the Grand Palladium yet. Perhaps someone else here and chime in and enlighten us.
Wait is that Kaitlin
Yep! She's a bit of a world traveler!
What are the prices??
It all varies. We have a great travel agent I can refer you to if you're interested.
how late are the pools open til ?
If it remember correctly they close at either 6 or 7 pm. By then, everyone goes back to the room to shower and get dressed up for dinner. It also gives the staff time to prep and clean the pools for the next day.
I will admit, one of my favorite memories is of my kids and I jumping in the pool at 10 pm. Moon was out, not a cloud in the sky. It was awesome!!!
does this place have a tennis court ?
Indeed it does. If you look here on google maps, you can see it www.google.com/maps/place/Iberostar+Selection+Para%C3%ADso+Lindo/@20.759482,-86.9650303,837m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m8!3m7!1s0x8f503de9600c5141:0xd80d47e1503f3b!5m2!4m1!1i2!8m2!3d20.7593989!4d-86.9636538
@@JaysDMC awesome, thank you
I’ve been to this resort about 9 times and every time it’s been great and what not. Just watch out for those little coatíes because they really want to have your food at the beach and what not.
Good advice! I saw one nab a poor kids french fry platter!
It doesn't look like a place where 25 year olds can party and drunk. So many children everywhere. Not sure I'd book at this stage in my life lol
there are other parts of this resort. I'm inclined to say there is an adult only part as well but I can't speak for it. I've only stayed at the family part of the resort.
Do u mind saying your building or room #
HI!. I don't recall the building number but it was room 5451. Our building was right outside the lazy river.
Thank you
@@ANOUSH12H You're very welcome! Hope you have a safe and happy trip.
the only negative I had in Mexico, it was too many raccoons, they were freaking everywhere. it was their resort!!!!
Oh, the coatis! There everywhere, especially towards the beach!
