There are no organization pockets in the main compartment so it would be helpful to know what size packing pods or stuff sacks would fit inside to help manage organization.
My Mamutt 800 fill down puffy with hood stuffs in its own sack to size of a 32oz Nalgene. If the bottle fits “easily”I’d think a quality down puffy would fit. Surprised those pockets don’t have a draw closure tho.
looks like a solid dayhike bag.. i dont care for orginiational options on mey pack.. the removable hip belt is a bonus to me.
I want a semi-technical bag for EDC and I love the 3-way zip. But that hydration pouch will not fit my laptop and at least some internal organization would be nice. Personally, I like to carry water outside my bag and I like to strap my poncho outside the bag as well, so having those outer straps and external pouch is great. But I'm not sure this bag is worth the price.
Great review. Something that I don’t see many (if any) reviewers doing is showing an example of what can fit in there. For example, maybe you pack a sweatshirt, a waterproof jacket, and a bag of snacks to show what can fit. I find the MR packs to be a little different in terms of sizing when compared to other company packs with the same liter capacity.
@jmax850 Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll take that into consideration for future videos
I had one of the first ones in 25L. Very versatile! Do you think you can get yours hands on a Brown Buffalo 21L for a review? They are difficult to source. Better yet if you are near the Los Angeles area, they hold custom build seminars where you can make your own!
@jackchn23 I haven't heard of this one, but I will add it to my list! Hopefully I can stumble across one. A company that offers workshops to custom build your own pack seems pretty cool! Cheers
First a suggestion: While black packs look cool, they do not present well in a video like this, due to lighting, and it being moved around. The details cannot be seen very easily. Feature other colors.
As far as a review goes, you have noted certain features as 'cons,' yet you knew exactly what you were buying. You mentioned it's the same as other size Coulee packs, then tell us what's 'wrong' with it.
@Mark_In_AZ Thank you for the suggestions!
Idk if you have much interest in a bag of this size, but I've been curious about the Eberlestock FAC Track for a bit. I've got a Savotta Jaakari L that I use for a 40+ liter bag that size and while it's super tough and fairly versatile, it really needs either a clamshell opening like the FAC Track or a 3-Zip like Mystery Ranch has to be able to get to the things packed deeper in when it is loaded down. At half the cost of some of the comparable MR packs, the FAC Track has my interest.
@ChickenShackIRL I can try to get my hands on one, at least for a while, and let you know how it is!
@@SJA-Reviews it would much appreciated if so, but no worries if not! Enjoyed the vid as always
I would like to see the mystery ranch 2 day assault pack and the Enerlestock switchblade. Thanks!
@anthonyrampino7734 I’m working on the Switchblade for you! I’ve been interested in the 2-Day Assault as well, hopefully I can get my hands on one soon
Sounds great! I’ll be looking forward to seeing it!
Is there a pack that you could recommend for edc/gym use with some good organization that’s not too big or too small?
Personally I don't like being forced to pay for something that I may not need (Zoid cell). Heck, on a 20L pack even the hip belt could be sold separately as I'd probably never use it! Would surely shave off at least $10-20 as it's a pretty fancy hip belt.
Looks like a nice bag but I wish it had some organization.
Isnt this the 30l? The 20l has orange webbing on the side, at-least thats what it shows in the website
@silverflash1675 Maybe the webbing color has changed, but this is definitely the 20L. Thanks!
