To-Be verbs: ( am, is, are ) with Nouns & Pronouns. In simple sentence structure.
Structure: Subject + Verb + Object.
1) I am walking down the road.
I was walking down the road.
2) She is thirsty.
She was thirsty before she was dead.
3) We are going to the Movies.
We were going to watch a Movie.

In fact, most of Americans speaking English dont care the difference between "was" and "were".
For instance, if you see a game video which is about gangster or something like that, you'll see that they care not grammar rules.
To give an example from Gta Sa, a GSF says something like " We was like family, Cj", when you attack them for no reason.
Or, another example from a mobile game called Flesh & Blood 2, when you try to join a clan, their leader says "you is an extra blade for us, from now on".
Most of people do not care grammar rules, and neither do I.
