@@AsterDXZ the strategy is 90% in deckbuilding and picking a deck. That's why a lot of decks in tournaments are "original" (I mean like 5 original cards in a meta deck but it makes a difference). Just copypasting and playing is very easy, nobody doubts that.
baldawen You’re talking about a very very small percentage of the community that actually does put thought into building a game winning deck. The majority of the community does not do this, easily 99% of it completely ignores the entirety of what you just said.
@@AsterDXZ that's the case in every game ever. While the ladder in Hearthstone is more useless than in other games, you will see objectevly good play only in top 1%.

I think this game is right up Kripp's alley. And as someone who hates Hearthstone, it would be nice to get Kripp back. I think he just doesn't want to dive in too early, and don't want to risk parting from the comfort of years of HS.

Just finding out that apparently auto chess isn’t some shitty type of idle game. Never bothered looking at it because of the name.

As a LoL player i can say that the update speed you witnessed is probably due to it being the indev build at an event with the dev's actually in the room.
Usually with the exception of a few hotfixes more geared towards gameplay or especially problematic bugs, the majority of bug-fixes tend to roll out with the patches meaning they resolve every few weeks.
riot is really top notch at making things smooth and showing vital information on the screen, the problem with them is the balance and pandering to certain characters
No, the problem is that riot makes the game less fun, because they made statistics in the past and it turned out, that if you had a lot of fun playing the game you were more likely to stop playing the game, and this is also the reason why some gamemodes like U.R.F. will never return in their old form, because apparently, those games were so much fun, that after those modes rotated out, a lot of people stopped playing the game
Basically they are moving more towards the direction of sports, its not about fun (or atleast not primarily) , its about the teams
@@Derdernichtredenwill hey man while I get what yoire trying to say and I am in a sort if biased position because I played league alot I want to try and correct some points. If you read some of their blog posts the you would know why they will not return urf to it's original for. The reason it is all random is because they found in the past that as the game mode continued for weeks people just started playing all the broken champions. These are your Zeds and Katarina and Ryzes of the world. That made it so that if you wanted to play something that was not S tier vs something that was then it was not very fun. This meant that while yes objectively it is more fun to be able to pick a champion for the longevity of the game mode they made the decision to keep it all random. For other game modes they did statistics for how many players were playing the mode. For example when they put nexus blitz out around Christmas they found that there was a steep drop off after the rewards for the game mode finished being offered. So yes while there may have been a minority that were playing the mode the majority were not and it was a large majority. Personally I loved that game mode and I am sad that it is not permanent but Riot made the choice because they domt want to haphazardly throw out a game mode into the world. It was the same story for why they retired dominion. Additionally if you could link me when they said that people who had more fun were leaving that would be cool because it just sounds counterintuitive. Why would you stop playing a game that you are having fun with that does not make sense. Look man I understand the sentiment that League sucks and it is a meme to hate on Riot but they genuinely do want the game to be good. Sometimes they make bad decisions but they do try to listen to the community to make it right. Just look at the mid season update last year. That was a shit show and everyone knows it even Riot, but they tried to course correct and make it better. Whether they did or not I can't speak for everyone. I think they did but maybe you don't and that's ok. However, you do have to admit that they tried and that is the same for something like positional ranks. They tried to implement it and it didnt go well so they took it out. They spent so much time on that feature and then just took it out. Look man I do think that Riot deserves some mad shit thrown at them sometimes but this is not one of those times.
@@kelintheranger Well I guess he meants the statistics on overall league players, which rises when something like urf gets on (like normal) and sinks when it get turned off (like also normal) the problem though, it sinks into niveaus even lower than before.

Next month kripp is playing the official steam version by valve, the month after it's the mobile version from the original autochess devs.

To be fair, this is Kripp. If he said that he played and enjoyed it, he definitely played and enjoyed it. I've been around for more than 6 years and I've yet to be bamboozled by Kripp.

I’m very hyped for this game. I’ve been a long-time league of legends player up until about five years ago when I quit (grew out of the game) can’t wait to get back into the league universe.

I agree, i play league and i am amazed by this game. I can't play it but i just keep watching youtube video's of it. I only do that with games I REALLY like. Seems like a HS like game which will be good to stream because of the way that you can see how good the streamer is doing in one glance. If they do it well and find some revolutionary idea's that makes it interesting then the game could become huge. But how the game is right now will probably be nice to play for a few months but nothing more :/
Now the real question -Do you really believe Hearthstone will survive another 4 years ?

I think to give this type of game longevity they need to rotate pieces every 1 or 2 weeks to shake the meta up more often.
Hell, for that matter they could have entire game modes in other games where a bunch of cards or characters are temporarily rotated out too. Having a new meta every two weeks would be great.
well league has over 120 champions,... so they have an insane champion pool to pick from and could you imagine if you were able to use the skin you already own in TFT ??? This would be so insane like having bloodmoon team or if somebody is insane enough the pulsfire/project skin line or star guardian ect. would be fun to see

You can be sure Blizzard will make an autochess game, trying to jump on the bandwagon, completely miss the point of the genre trying to give it “mass appeal,” and stop development on it a few years after it comes out and they’ve made the money they’ll get from it.

The argument against Auto Chess isn't valid. Dota used to be a 3rd party mod too, many years ago and here we are in 2019 with the Dota 2 TI prize pool set to eclipse the $25 million prize pool barrier. Also not forgetting CS which used to be a 3rd party Half Life mod.

well Autochess has lootboxes so they aren't innocent. Do you need them ? Nope they are of no use the same goes for riot games, they have only cosmetics you can buy from and things like changing the server or extra mastery pages which are of no use ingame.
(well one could say some skins have animations which are harder to see ect. yeah that's kinda true but nobody rly uses skins like this)

Riot is a solid game development company. They singlehandedly proved that a f2p game could be the most played in the world and generally had really insightful explanations for every change to league (stopped playing 2 years ago, not sure if that kept being true). I have no doubt this will be a great game.
That said, isn't it hilarious that DotA got yet another gamemode cucked by Riot?

@@mauer1 Not sure when that was. I stopped playing regularly by the end of season 2017, but I had already stopped following most updates by the beggining of that season.
@@ekki1993 okey ardent got buffed in the beginning of season 2017, noone cared though because damage supporter were still strong enough, then those damage supporter got nerfed and having an ardent supporter was basically a free win.
Kogmaw Lulu when the enemy doesnt have that much cc, were basically able to sit in 5 man killing everything with around 2 items for kogmaw, 3 items made the madness perfect, though there were unstoppable in lane when they both got one full item. (ardent censer for lulu and wits end for kogmaw)
also those items were cheap, like 2500ish gold for both of them.

ardent censer almost 100% (1 game when misfits forced skt into an ardent censer less game lul, because they were to mad to early for skt)

Valve announced a stand alone Auto Chess was in development like 2 weeks ago. Just saying
the thing is, current Auto Chess mobile and Dota version have sooo many issues DCing without beeing able to reconnect, finding random lobbys and starting the game ist right now the worst experience ever, the list goes on.
If Rito plays it out well and they will release it fairly soon which they kinda will in 2 - 3 weeks it will be on PBE and 1 or 2 patches later on the actual servers soooo I can see everybody wanting so switch to TFT cause they will fill the hole in the market and I trust them more with having stable server and better que times.
The main Reasons I stopped with Autochess to begin with.

stepkaj97 from what it seems TFT is the only game that is on PC. And will be on test server very soon. So i rather try it. Bad name tho i wish they come up with a better one

well, its not just a random map in league, is a brand new game and is a card base game, those make a lot of money with microtransactions, so i dont think they are planing to let this die so soon
Considering they are adding ranked in 9.14 and have monetization specially ready for that game, won't gonna happen.

Mobas where invented as a warcraft mod and even autochess was first a mod from warcraft 3.

there were auto chess like games way back inn the warcraft 3 days and dota is just the one that got the genre somewhat popularized
autochess is a mod of a game while tft will be a standalone, autochess became more of a template or a genre of a game so it wont get anyt of the royalties

I said the "the makers" not actual autochess/valve. whoever modded warcraft 3 originally basically. plenty of mods became full games, DOTA itself was a mod of warcraft. by your logic no-one who modded, or who worked at blizzard got credit/money off valve, and you'd be very wrong. go look at that court case if you have a free several hours. it doesn't take away from the fact that someone somewhere invented a genre, or even IP. Certain devs are kind enough to credit, pay or even hire the original person (like valve used to, & playerunkown etc)
@@BuzzaB77 One of the creators of the original Dota mod worked at Riot as game designer. So he got that out of it. But I don't think the maker of Auto Chess will receive anything, since he is making his own Auto Chess game with "new" characters (honestly they looks like mobs in every mobile game ever). Seems doubtful for a company to just give money to a "rival" if they don't *need* to. And like @RainbowKitty said he can't really claim full ownership since a lot of mods back in the days were pretty similar.

Well Riot copied Dota and made more popular game, so i hope same happens with Chess.
They didn't copy dota, they copied a mod someone else built, Dota is trying to copy it too because the people made it want it to be on Epic store
It's funny how they're faster at doing so than the company of the game that the mod is based on. Like... something must be wrong at Blizzard/Valve if they don't recognize stuff like this.
