  • There are lots of must-do activities in Cappadocia aside from hot air ballooning (which is 100% a must too), like visiting Göreme Open Air Museum and going on an ATV tour. Both activities can be easily enjoyed in a single day in Cappadocia which is exactly what we did in this vlog.
    For lunch we went to Rocks Terrace Restaurant which is a great spot in the town centre with warm, friendly service and a fantastic view of Göreme.

    ✨ Göreme Open Air Museum is a must-visit in Cappadocia. You can actually walk to it from the town centre which would take around 25 mins but depending on the season, a taxi would be the most convenient and comfortable way to get there. We definitely recommend seeing the Dark Church too.
    ✨ For the ATV ride, no experience is necessary really. It's mostly accelerate and break but in saying that a level of open-road riding confidence is needed and caution should always be exercised because you can flip and/or damage the vehicles (or worse hurt yourself) if you're not careful. The waiver that you sign before the ride will outline liability for damage. Bring a bandana and sun glasses too.

    Aaaaaaaaaah yeaaaaaaah atv and rice!!! That’s right!! Tell dem slow pokes to get out da waaaaay!! Yen pushing for that speeeeed 😂😂😂 Love it!!! Definitely looks like another planet… but also reminds me of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade… especially with the awesome helmets!! You guys looked awesome!! 😁😁😁 Pretty crazy how crowded it was at the sunset spot… you guys shudda just veered off course and say the atv lost control… would be so hard to stay on course with a tour 😁😁😁. Loved the day you guys spent.. looks like Cappadocia is an amazing amazing place…. Great vid guys and thank you!!!! Riiiiiiceeeeeee😋😋😋😋

      Hahahah sometimes I had to pull back a lil more just so I had more of a stretch to speed up 🤣🤣 really did have some slow people at the front I guess! There was someone that flipped their ATV in another group (no one hurt thankfully) but that ended up stalling everyone for a bit too. There was one noob as moment that Peter was helping me with my scarf that dropped while I was driving so he went to retie it back for me, but he blocked my eyes!! 😳😅😅 But yea sooo many ATVs at sunset point.. hardout congregation 😂 Cappadocia is awesome! We loved it there 🥰

    A nice hearty breakfast 🧆to start of the day and greeted by a majestic open air museum⛰🕍
    The humidity level there must be very low for preservation of the frescoes, nature in its helping hand
    Love ATVs esp in QT, but your trip there looks mega too
    Again, thanks for putting so much detail and smile in putting your vlogs together
    For Joyce and I
    Weather was great this weekend
    Was at Clevedon Village Farmers’ Mkt - was great
Popped over to Duder Regional Park for a nice sunny and hot walk
Finished off the day with a late lunch Corner Cafe a Clevedon
    Have a great week both

    Hakkan place is awesome, we have been there too! Awesome to know that the beef casserole tastes like the NZ pies, now we have an idea of how it tastes.
    There is so much history in that area, and it is fascinating to see how many of those frescos remain.
    Yen, you look so badass driving that ATM, love it

      Hahaha thank you! 😂 I had fun driving the ATV.. glad I didn't flip the vehicle 😅😅 we saw someone from another group that had (no one hurt thankfully!). There was one point Peter tried to help me put my makeshift bandana back on when it fell off though but he covered my eyes for a second 😅😅😅

We made a video about things to know before visiting Cappadocia which you might find helpful: ua-cam.com/video/amBPwaUW5b4/v-deo.html covers stuff about accommodation too :) Hope it helps and have an amazing time!

    • @PeterandYen

    Hi , why dont you purchase a museum card? Its valid for 1 year and you go free in almost all the museum’s in turkey

    • @PeterandYen
      @PeterandYen  Рік тому

      Hiya 🙂👋 we looked into the museum cards when we were there and while they have an option that's valid for a year, once you activate it i.e make your first museum visit, it has to be used within 15 days. So really it's a 15 days pass. We were in Turkey for 3 months so it wasn't worth it for us.

    • @PeterandYen
      @PeterandYen  Рік тому

      Oh there is one that I think is an actual yearly museum card, but it's for Turkish citizens only 🙂
