I love watching these dogs sprint, at times it's as if they're flying! Lovely.
Amazingly they do fly. Look up 'double suspension gallop' for some slow motion films its a wonderful trick of nature that cheetahs and sighthounds can perform. They lift themselves off the ground and glide through the air legs out stretched like Superman.
THANK YOU so much . i had a pair of Italian greyhounds that have passed on and i miss watching them run and jump.

Great video. I have a 6 year old bitch who loves life like these guys. To anyone thinking of getting one I would say they are pretty much the perfect dog as long as you can let them run free fairly regularly. Mine now gets Saturday and Sunday running free and the rest of the week we just walk for 30 minutes on the lead, once a day. If she gets restless, then we go down to the beach! Apart from that, they just want to be fed and then they'll sleep. Very good natured, and don't have a mean bone in their body (unless you're a rabbit or other small, fast moving creature).
Usual stuff applies though - dogs are very tying. Please think carefully before you commit. I'm lucky. My wife and I are of one mind on this. We holiday in the UK and have same opinion. If the whippet can't come, we don't want to come either.
So beautiful...but makes tooooo sad... reminding me of my wonderful Canoa whippet that I lost 4 months ago.
The place is breathaking....the dogs are...more then beautiful...they are full of jou of life, create for running like lighting. For them run is like swim for a Terranova (not sure is the correct name in English...you know, these dogs whit black fur, often trained for rescue people in water...).
And the video is special. You did a great job...whit a great music😎. BRAVO...
I saved in my files, so I can watch whatever I want to.

The Crow @ 4;20 was lucky to make it lol. Whippets are one of the few dogs that can catch those things.

WOW. What a beautiful video. Thank you for posting it. I may have to watch this at least 10 times. 😊 It’s funny. I have been researching Whippets and everything I read says never to let them run off leash except in a fenced-in area. But the Internet is full of videos of Whippets running like mad in the open. I’m assuming that as long as you are not near a road and your dogs have a decent recall, it can be done safely. What a beautiful site to see them run freely…

Wunderschön zu sehen wie die beiden ihren Fun haben! Ich bin ja selber stolzer Freund eines tolles Whippets ( vor 3 Wochen waren es noch zwei, leider musste uns einer wegen Nierenversagen verlassen)! Für mich sind es die tollsten Hunde überhaupt. Ich bin aufgewachsen mit Whippets und komm nicht mehr von ihnen weg, einmal Whippet immer Whippet! Es ist so toll zu sehen wie sie Spass haben am rennen ohne Rennbahn! Man sieht ihnen richtig an wie viel Spass sie haben und sie zeigen auch ihre Freude! Vilen dank das Du uns daran teilhaben lässt! Alex Sally, I am trying to work out where that wild spot beach is. I see the human settlement on the side of what is probably a tidal inlet. My guess is U.K.... maybe Wales or Ireland?

I have two Whippets and my parents Lurcher that lives next door. I can tell you all the fun and love, sometimes roguery will lighten anyones day for sure.

they certainly had their fun! so much energy, like a couple of kids playing tag ;) i was worn out just watching them. loved the water jumps too :D
I thought watching a cheetah run was the pinnacle of beauty. I correct myself. These two Whippets playing...well it’s as if they defy gravity. Thank you for sharing. Maybe one would make a good companion for my Corgi:-)
There's a time in their gait when none of their feet are touching the ground, this gives them that floating sort of look.

My favorite whippet maneuver is when the one being chased does a 360 and is now in back of, and chasing, the former chaser. (Mine did this all the time.)
Imagine you would mount a Gopro camera onto these beach racers......I love these dogs...they are so agile and independent yet loving.....

Beautiful vid of 2 beautiful Whippets. I love their 'Jekyll and Hyde' personality...docile and mild mannered at home, and speeding bullets when out in the open. I'm sure they slept very soundly the following day after that day at the beach. Lovely!

These two look soooo happy!!! ♥️ But then the surroundings are so great for them. Unfortunately I see too many people with these lovely animals in surroundings where they don't dare to let them run free, and they are kept on the leash too often. Only those people who can provide walks and runs like this one should get these high class runners, in my opinion. Greetings from Germany.
SIGHTHOUNDS - simply ADORABLE!! The most delightful dogs to have as part of your family. Just love the brindle jumper!! The acceleration of sighthounds never ceases to amaze me. I envy you Alex. Sadly, I lost my gorgeous fawn, broken-coated lurcher Rosie (almost a greyhound - she was FAST), in October 2018, after 13 years of joy and taking advantage of me(!), and I'm still missing her and her incredibly entertaining character desperately. :-( :-(

I have been thinking of getting a whippet. I'm 62+ & not as active as you. Are they apartment dogs. Great video.
Marsha - They are the fastest couch potato's in the world. I have two 75 year old friends who wanted a dog but were worried about the exercise part. I surprised them with a greyhound, at first they were very concerned. Here we are 4 years later and they reckon they wouldn't change her for the world. Whilst exercise is suggested obviously, its less important when they get older. Walks are fine, or they can run around the yard very happily. Ebony spends most of her time on the lounge between my friends, sleeping and snoring. Bus as soon as the back door is opened, she's off for a run in the yard. Beautiful placid animals.
The one with strips looks exactly like Canoa also power and happiness

Paweekarn S. Slow Mo is tricky. At normal speed you can't see any running motion. It's just blur. Which is nice sometimes but I don't think you get to appreciate the performance. I have tried to slow the parts where the body is doing something worth appreciating. Thank you for watching though. Alex
