I am home sick with a bad cough and just watched this scene... I laughed so hard I thought I was gonna pass out from lack of air. The other guy was as funny as Lewis. What timing....
omg. Jerry Lewis is hilarious. I laughed so hard my sides hurt. My dad introduced me to Jerry's films and I haven't stopped laughing since. One of the funniest scenes.
Thinking of 'Buddy Love'? He's Jerry Lester, an incomparable comic in his own right. Also, the original host of the 'Tonight Show' , just before Steve Allen.
OMG, I was already laughing so hard ,but when he said I can't see out of my left eye....then he goes that's my eyebrow when jerry was reaching for the strand..I totally lost it ...my gf thought I was in pain..I was literally crying I was laughing so hard...pure genius
Right. Here I am BY MYSELF watching this thing and crying quietly - so I don't burst out laughing uncontrollably! Comic genius here. There'll only be one Jerry.
My absolute favorite scene from "The Ladies Man"....Jerry was a comedy genius...who would think putting a hat on a man was so damn funny, but it works so well....I will miss him so much, Rest In Peace dear Jerry .. 💜💕
Movie audiences were probably roaring with laughter during this scene...Nobody milks a gag better than Jerry does and this is one of the most sustained laugh-out-loud moments in the annals of screen comedy...
Yeah and the best about this is that this was actually not scripted and just spontaneously said by Buddy Lester because Mr Lewis accidentally pulled the eyebrow while trying to fetch that piece of string!!! These situation form the true comedy!!!
The actor that plays this scene with Jerry is hysterical! Didn't he also play the bartender in The Nutty Professor? The guy is also a comedic genius!! Thanks for putting this up, I've been laughing all night watching these Lewis clips!!
my mom did my hair today and this movie was on, she said as a kid she would watch this all the time when it came on. We both were laughing so hard we had tears in our eyes from this scene. Such a great film, I love the ending so much!
This is one of the funniest scenes I've ever witnessed! An old film that wracks my ribs and the actor playing the tough guy is perfect! Lewis' nervous babbling is amazingly timed and I've felt like that myself on occasion :P Anyone that can make you take yourself a little less seriously is alright in my book :)
I can't even, I watched this on the way to my sons funeral. It kept me from getting sick and helped me smile.I wanted to vomit, I think it gave me strengh.:-)
I feel in love with Jerry when I was 6 years old sitting with my Aunt Valma. the first movie I saw was Family Jewles and to this day I sill get the same feeling when I see him now I like to watch him with my son
One person says its unfunny and stupid..!!!! I watched this years ago and I've just posted it on Facebook. I think its excellent... I love the guys face .... I'd love to see out takes. The seriousness and contempt he has for Jerry is side splitting. Wish they made these films now. Innocent and childish but funny.
@@ernestogasulla7763 still watching EVERY Jerry's video that is on youtube though! Kind of weird, don't you think so? Why do you torture yourself if you don't like him? LOL
This is such a funny scene with Jerry and Buddy. I still laugh to this day. Good classic comedy is so clean and refreshing. And, it's a shame those days are OVUR. ... "O-V-U-R" ... OVUR! 🗣🎩🤣
Porque ,no pasan sus películas? creo que no estaría mal ,para que esta generación también lo conozca, repiten muchas películas ,en los canales .Jerry Lewis era muy divertido, sanamente.
I had forgotten about the change of scene where Herbert is intercepted by his matron, then there is the parallel dialogue going on where he frantically goes over out loud the gangster's instructions so he won't forget anything... You know it always happens that way, when you have tons of critical stuff to remember, then of course the phone rings, or someone comes along and tells you about his day... That's brilliantly written and directed, and adds a lot to the effectiveness of the whole sketch, which has been >Cilling< me for something like 45 years!
One of my all time favorites and still cracks me up since I first saw it, at the Naval Sub Base, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, when I was a kid in the Navy over 50 years ago. The gangster's name is Jerry Lester and he steals the scene as far as I'm concerned. He had a brother (twin I think) who was also an actor. I have the movie on DVD.
C is for killer ha!ha! Over Ovur ha! ha,! I never caught that when I watched it. I was laughing too hard to this dude being mad n Jerry Lewis physical antics with the hat n things
Another scene that has me rolling every time I see it is in the billiards scene from "Family Jewels." The two actors can't hold in their giggles after Jerry attempts a crazy shot. The giggles start at about 59s in. Type: "Jerry Lewis shooting pool" in the search box (the captions are in Spanish)
Towards the end of the scene, you can hear Lewis laughing. When he says, " That's my eyebrow, " it breaks me up.
Buddy Lester was such a very good actor. He and Jerry worked together brilliantly in this masterpiece.
I don't know how he kept a straight face.
When ever I get stressed out by life I watch a Jerry Lewis clip to feel better, thanks Jerry.
This is one of the most brilliant scenes in the History of Comedy-Films.
Agree 100% with you!
As a child, we could go to the movies for 25 cents, 15 cents for pop corn and Jerry Lewis was making movies like this, it was good times
As a kid I adored Jerry Lewis movies! This was one of my favorite scenes! It came to mind tonight and I had to look it up. LOL
Jerry is too funny and too cool. This is real comedy!
Im laughing so hard it hurts. Thanks Jerry
"Maybe we could get it weaved!"
Cracks me up every time!
Hard to imagine a better comic scene. The timing, the delivery... brilliant.
I love the way Jerry, can't hold his laughter.
I am home sick with a bad cough and just watched this scene... I laughed so hard I thought I was gonna pass out from lack of air. The other guy was as funny as Lewis. What timing....
classic straight man. It doesn't get any better
omg. Jerry Lewis is hilarious. I laughed so hard my sides hurt. My dad introduced me to Jerry's films and I haven't stopped laughing since. One of the funniest scenes.
You can see that Jerry is totally losing control at 6:15....he can't even look at Buddy Lester anymore....one of the funniest scenes ever : ))))))
He's almost choking he's trying so hard to keep his laughs in lol.
Omg I totally missed that the first time.. Good looking out!😂👍🏻
Thinking of 'Buddy Love'? He's Jerry Lester, an incomparable comic in his own right. Also, the original host of the 'Tonight Show' , just before Steve Allen.
Jerry Lester was the brother of Buddy Lester.
Humbly stand corrected. Thank you for the insight.
Even Jerry is loosing it? Listen🤣
I can see this a hundred times and I'll laugh a hundred times!
I've seen this movie hundreds of times, but that scene never gets old
My absolute favorite scene from "The Ladies Man"....Jerry was a comedy genius...who would think putting a hat on a man was so damn funny, but it works so well....I will miss him so much, Rest In Peace dear Jerry .. 💜💕
Gold, Jerry. GOLD!
Oh man , why cant they make comedies like that today 😂😂😂😂😂
What a lovely surprise to see this again ... this and the soundman scene .. I will never forget . Thankyou from Germany 😊
Movie audiences were probably roaring with laughter during this scene...Nobody milks a gag better than Jerry does and this is one of the most sustained laugh-out-loud moments in the annals of screen comedy...
I'm always amazed at how "in the zone" this guy was. Even at the 6:08 mark when Jerry looses it, he's still straight as an arrow.
RIP Jerry. A comic Genius.
I luv it, Jerry is tryna hold his laugh in, I'm so glad they decided to keep this scene in the film 👏👌👍😄😃😀😘
The straight man is so good he didn't crack under all this comic genius!
😂😂 one of my favorite scenes !!!! Buddy and Jerry were brilliant !!!
"That's my eyebrow." One of the funniest scenes from any movie!
Yeah and the best about this is that this was actually not scripted and just spontaneously said by Buddy Lester because Mr Lewis accidentally pulled the eyebrow while trying to fetch that piece of string!!!
These situation form the true comedy!!!
And also just watch how Jerry Lewis needs to look away to hide how he breaks out with laughter 😂
In my opinion, Jerry Lewis was one of the greatest comedians ever. So sad that he is not with us anymore.
One of the the best and funniest scene ever in this movie, makes me want to watch it on DVD now...so happy to have grown up with his movies!!
Absolutely classic.
I write from Argentina. Jerry is the most human being I know. Long live for Jerry, I love him. Sorry for my english, but I write with the heart.
the most human being I know
No me jodas... el tipo es un pelotudo.
Being someone who appreciates comedy, this cracks me up big time every time I watch it.Mr.Lewis was a master at comedy.
Favorite scene in cinema. Shared again with friends.
The actor that plays this scene with Jerry is hysterical! Didn't he also play the bartender in The Nutty Professor? The guy is also a comedic genius!! Thanks for putting this up, I've been laughing all night watching these Lewis clips!!
Yes he is! :)
I love Jerry Lewis ❤😂❤😂 Always will for Eternity ❤😂😢

R.I.P. Jerry. The child in me thanks for all the laughts.
still the best, as the day it was made!!
Hahaha and that jerk was totally defeated just by the power of clumsy kindness. xD
great Buddy Lester, and one of the best films of Lewis
This is one of the funniest scenes I've ever witnessed! An old film that wracks my ribs and the actor playing the tough guy is perfect! Lewis' nervous babbling is amazingly timed and I've felt like that myself on occasion :P Anyone that can make you take yourself a little less seriously is alright in my book :)
I can't even, I watched this on the way to my sons funeral. It kept me from getting sick and helped me smile.I wanted to vomit, I think it gave me strengh.:-)
You are so funny in this, Mr Lewis.
Happy 90th birthday, Jerry!
He is my dad's age and I'm 62!
turmed 30 yesterday
What does that even mean, Sierra Rupp?
Sierra means Jerry turned 30 for the 3rd time, or Sierra turned 30, or Sierra is nuts
Dan Rodden rip jerry lewis.
...and at 6:23, Buddy Lester turns into Dustin Hoffman!
So I am not the only one who thought that. Cool😅
He was the best! Him and Red Skelton.....my favorites!
At the end Lewis cant hold his laugh back. Im surprised he left it in the film. Jerry was a genius. No talent like his any longer in America.
I like the disordely ordely when he takes alice pierce out in the wheelchair and she talks about her sicknesses jerry cant handle it funny as hell
😂...LMFAO. ...love him my handsome Jerry!
I know! Wasn't he so beautiful??!!! Those eyes and lips....
RIP, Jerry...the angels are laughing their asses off.
One of the funniest jerry Lewis moments
Yeah, Jerry does crack up at 6:13 "That's my eyebrow..." That looked totally improvised!
I feel in love with Jerry when I was 6 years old sitting with my Aunt Valma. the first movie I saw was Family Jewles and to this day I sill get the same feeling when I see him now I like to watch him with my son

This was, and still is, a comic masterpiece.
Count me in for unfunny and stupid.
@@ernestogasulla7763 still watching EVERY Jerry's video that is on youtube though! Kind of weird, don't you think so? Why do you torture yourself if you don't like him? LOL
They have another funny scene together in The Nutty Professor. Jerry bullies him into making a drink!!
This is such a funny scene with Jerry and Buddy. I still laugh to this day. Good classic comedy is so clean and refreshing. And, it's a shame those days are OVUR. ... "O-V-U-R" ... OVUR! 🗣🎩🤣

It's gold, Jerry. Gold.
There's so much stuff going on in this set up, both actors are brilliant, whenever I think of how cutting edge JL was, I think of this scene.

So simple and so very good!!
Hey it's the Alaskan polar bear heater guy!
Jerry Lewis, o maior humorista de todos os tempos.
"Whaddaya want from my arm"
😂🤣
Even Jerry laughs in the scene! Very, very funny.
5:40 "I can't see out of my left eye".....I can hear laughing!!! I wonder how many times they had to do this scene!!
Jerry Lewis comedy genius a one off once in a generation
C is for killer ha!ha! Over Ovur ha! ha,! I never caught that when I watched it. I was laughing too hard to this dude being mad n Jerry Lewis physical antics with the hat n things
Shear brilliance!! JL may have had some personality flaws but he was a comedic genius. I will always cherish his films.
buddy love would never take this kind of guff ;p
Another scene that has me rolling every time I see it is in the billiards scene from "Family Jewels." The two actors can't hold in their giggles after Jerry attempts a crazy shot. The giggles start at about 59s in. Type: "Jerry Lewis shooting pool" in the search box (the captions are in Spanish)
So nice!!!
I think the guy with the hat was the bartender on _The Nutty Professor_ about two years later.
Buddy Lester was so great as the straight man in this scene
Love Buddy
of all the stuff he did this scene is the best and funniest for me ..RIP JERRY
love him!!
6:09 He bursts ... I would laugh my ass off too LOL also at 6:13

At 0:19 Should've asked for an Alaskan Polar Bear Heater
What'll it beee...HMM?
Sad news, RIP Jerry & thanks for the laughs
It's funnier when you hear Jerry breaking. He lost it when pulled on his brow.
5:43 and 6:10 Jerry can't hold his laughs! 😄
maybe we can get it weaved.....OMG..LOL
I watched this for an hour on the way,:-)
