- Rajan Sankaran MD Hom, is the son of homeopath Dr. P. Sankaran. He graduated from the Bombay (Mumbai) Homoeopathic Medical College in 1981.
Sankaran has published books on homeopathy, and edited a two volume set of his father's writings.
His recent book, "Homeopathy for Today's World" was favorably reviewed in publications including New Age Retailer, Midwest Book Review and Whole Life Times. He is the head of "the other song" International Academy of Advanced Homeopathy, Mumbai.

Homeopathy is a very real and absolutely amazing medicine. Just some people can't open their minds enough to be able to understand. But experience shows every day that Homeopathy works. Yes, this may be the future direction for all of homeopathy, especially for training new homeopaths. It's more intuitive, imaginative, artistic than Hx approached only as a mental fitting game.

My main source of stress is promoters of homeopathy.
Then go to a homeopath and get a remedy :)

Your lecture though being informative lacks continuity of logic from observation interpretation to selection of similimum. Also it seems that the topic was stress management or may be role of homoeopathy in stress or may be interpretation of stress to select similimum, not clear in your lecture.
Finally the objective proved to be role of sensation method or categorization into plant mineral and animal kingdom in which selection of remedy lacked continuity of logic.
You could have also explained through this example how to interpret symptoms to categorize while studying materia medica.

"There's no alternative to medicine." I forget who said that but truer words were never spoken. There's medicine and then there's not medicine which includes the following; alternative medicine, dinosaurs, adjectives, black holes, etc.
I'd like to know though, if water can remember active ingredients, can it remember alcohol? If I can get drunk by drinking water, then I need to have this information.
They've *been* thought about, they've *been* discussed, and they've been rightly thrown out.
If the concepts of homeopathy need *anything*, it's to be ridiculed and ignored.
That symptom argument is a red herring, incorrect, and not even a response to anything that I said.
That one medical concept went from from "ridiculed" to "accepted" does not mean that every single medical idea should be taken seriously. A medical practice that has been time and again proven not to work, should not be treated equally with an idea that has simply not been refuted or proven. Hardly any theories are accepted instantly without opposition.
When I mentioned black holes, I was clearly illustrating the point that homeopathy is not medicine.
The placebo effect is highly unreliable and ineffectual. Citing a wide range like 18-80% suggests it's unreliable. There is no reason to resort to such a practice barring a lack of other treatment options. If there is no other treatment options then it couldn't hurt.
My problem with this practice is when it's use is endorsed over the use of real effective medicine.

Ryan Whitaker It was interesting reading your negative comments about homeopathic medicine. You made some good points, but all and all you didn't make a convincing argument that homeopathic medicine should be ignored.
Let's say you are a diabetic.
-Would you want modern scientific medicine? Which is just a band-aid, it won't eliminate diabetes.
-Or would you want a homeopathic remedy that will treat your diabetes and eventually rid you of said diabetes?

Let's say you have a stroke or suffer some type of nerve damage that leaves you 90% paralyzed.
Would you want psychical therapy or acupuncture?
I guarantee that you will recover more of your bodily functions using the acupuncture way...and you will recover faster...and pay far less money.

There are plenty of examples that prove homeopathic methods to be superior to modern scientific medicine.
One of those examples being...marijuana dealing with epilepsy.
There is a human side of you and then there is an animal side of you....humans are animals buddy. the three presentations represented in the beginning of this presentation from a real medicine perspective are normal reaction to a breakup, dependent personality disorder and paranoid personality disorder. But he chooses to represent this as plant, mineral and animal. Go figure. Coming from a current student of allopathic medicine btw. Psychiatric treatments included mostly cognitive behavioral therapy but I'm sure that the psychology of somebody can somehow be treated with a herbal medicine. LOLLL. No research supports this. By research I mean double blinded randomized controlled trials with an appropriate power to support the research findings. NOT some book somebody wrote, a magazine article, personal experiences, newspaper articles or anything but an unbiased statistically significant research protocol. THAT my friends is real medicine. That's what every treatment and diagnostic approach goes through in order to be approved in allopathic medicine. So please compare apples with apples and oranges to oranges. Hey at least he sounds smart though right?
The problem with allopathic researchers is that they deny the live occuring phenomena and want same things to be proved in laboratory. The biggest foolishness in such researches done are with the malice of of proving 'Homoeopathy' wrong, and still blunderous is that they are done in allopathic style. The researchers did not even bother to understand or comprehend what Homoeopathy actually claims.
when microscopes were not discovered they never believed bacteria exist, and viruses existed was unknown till Electron Microscopy was discovered.
Researchers must not do research on their own without consulting experts of Homoeopathy...period. Stop acting like Gods and prove foolish. Homoeopathy never says 'Baptisia Tinctoria cures Typhoid' It says 'Baptisia can be indicated in curing Typhoid and it may not as well'' (fact is any medicine can treat any disease if homoeopathically selected) but allopaths never understand the second statement, either deliberately or they are not trained to understand or they are not interested. They interpret the second statement as the first statement and then collect some 15-20 cases of Typhoid and used Baptisia on all of them and Baptisia does not act on any. The fact is in these 20 cases even an Homoeopath would not chose Baptisia...because he may not find Baptisia indicated in any of them....so malicious researches by faulty methods come to bizarre conclusions. Homoeopathic is scientific. Homoeopathy only claims material to energy, so it is not disconnected with material. It processes the material scientifically for the claim results. Thats y different medicines have different names as per the material used.
Mr Allopath B. O. S., you have been brainwashed by a medical system that was hijacked in 1910 by JD Rockefeller. You are demanding that homeopathy be judged by the limited standards that you have been taught. Too bad you are applying what appears to be adequate brain power in the wrong arena. Hopefully you will someday awaken.
