6 to 8 wraps? For a tree that beefy 3 to 4 would be all you need.

6-8 wraps is a little excessive and a waste of rope. On the tree he’s at 3 is more than enough.

Question......instead of using a caribiner, can you just add the follow thru figure eight knot
