    Excellent.. Such dope chords.. You like Self Control? Another really cool guitar song on the album... I think its Alex G who plays on it.. would be another great Frank song to learn and show us fools how to play!!!!!

    For a better sound i recomend you, guys, set your capo on the 1st fret, it won't be necessary to mute some of the strings sometimes from now on

    Thank you for taking your time explaining thats a lot of people’s trouble. So thank you excellent teaching if I can understand it you definitely are doing something right. Some people name the frets and say “MOVING ON” 😭😂

    Great video. I think after new beginning part, goes like this. Most of the time, frank keeps the chords and changes bass lines.
    Bb6 Gm7 Gm7/Eb Fm7
    All my night...
    Fm Gm
    Cm9
    Gm Gm/F Gm/Eb
    Cm(guitar riffs)
    Abm9 D#m9 D#m7/E F#M7 x2
    Abm9 D#m9(no bass so it might sound different)
    Abm9 D#m9 D#m7/E F#M7
    Abm9 D#m9 D#m7/E C#
    Abm9 E Bmaj9 F#
    Abm9 E Bmaj9 F#
    hope it helps

    If you can find a good voicing for it, that ab major can be flaired with a major 7 too, the song emphasizes the major 7th interval in that specific chord when you listen to it

    Does anyone know what kind of guitar effects they have on the first chord progression in Nights? The first Ab chord sounds so punchy and like reminds me of coins or something with definitely some reverb. The other two chords just sound like they have a little drive on them but that first chord especially sounds really unique. Anyone have any idea?

    • @Sacmatic
      @Sacmatic 6 років тому +3

      I'd mess around with the eq + compressor, maybe try a little chorus in there. Also, sounds like a single coil strat type pickup, maybe neck position with some tone rolled up

    • @cambuchanan5176
      @cambuchanan5176 6 років тому +6

      the guitar structure is chopped up, and every few chops the guitar is doubled, and pitched an octave up overtop of the original guitar creating that kinda toy sounding effect

    • @liligman
      @liligman 4 роки тому +2

      Barish Arslan it sounds out of phase (Neck+middle) on single coils with some octave pitch shifting and verb. Sounds thin, so maybe roll off some tone and compressZ Might even have a little phaser on it.

    Don't get how to play the first chord, doesn't look like your playing the E on the 8th fret ?? :/

    • @kjwhiteroom
      @kjwhiteroom  6 років тому +3

      Giawy Dowie You have to bar it with your first finger. The middle of my index finger is holding down the eighth fret on the e string. Thanks for viewing and let me know if you have any more questions!

    They used samples for the guitar, which is why the chords sound a bit weird, pitching down samples is will never keep the tuning perfectly

    • @kjwhiteroom

      Play the 6th fret on the b and e strings by pressing both with your index finger.

    What’s the “flare chord” you play after the g minor

    • @kjwhiteroom
      @kjwhiteroom  6 років тому +1

      Corey Garcia I just play octaves on 5th fret on A string and 7th fret on G string. Sometimes I’ll then move it up quickly to octaves on 6th and 8th frets, then 8th and 10th frets. You can watch from 8:30 until the end of the video to see how I do that
