Thank you I am a blind producer and I love my Corg microsample I wanna bring them together while using the court KP3 sampler I think that would be quite a party
Hello! The Microkorg S has picked up my interest recently, and I'm curious about this things si vous plais to answer. 1. does it have a Piano patch? e.g. the MicroKORG XL which is the one I have has the SG Piano sound, is not a concert grand, but it defends as a Piano sound patch 2. what other keyboard type sounds it has? like, rhodes? tines? etc. 3. about the poliphony, the specifications says is only 4 voices for synth sounds, so... I've experienced the limitations of using pedal though midi and have a feel of the low poliphony it has on that side, is it 4 ... few? like, playing as piano, would be 6 voices at least Thank you
Hey! Is the keyboard itself any different? I never liked the stiffness of the keys in OG MicroKorg. Heard that MicroKorg XL had better keys. Maybe this one also has those improved keys
They're similar... and I'm sure you're right about them taking inspiration from the micro. I have both, & a number of more high end synths... but once I got into editing initialized patches & yes, it's a lot of menu diving, but you can do soooo much with it! If used properly it is the synth that keeps on giving lol. Both the micro & the mini! I find the sound engine in the Korg, especially in the wave tables, LFOs, & FX sections, the Korg not only gives you a lot more choices, but it just seems laid out better. The only thing I will say is.... its sure nice having a big screen on the mini. The micro & its "80s alarm clock" screen where a U with a line over it means a W lol... It can be tough to know what they all mean, but if you're famiar with ADSR type synths, you already know most of it anyways.
@AMSOLO420 Looks like Korg put some of the look and features of the Mininova into there new MiniKorg, but that new one kinda leaves the original and the Nova in the dust in terms of features and look. Still the new Minikorg isn't different enough from the Mininova for Me to replace it. I haven't got soace for loads of Physical synths.
@HOLLASOUNDS yeah I'm mad I re re bought another micro about 3 months before the 2 was released. That was stupid. I bought for nostalgic reasons, & I don't use it hardly ever. It's never even been to a gig, or even left the studio lol. Wanna buy it lolol? Know someone who does? Let me know!
@@AMSOLO420 Well I think many of us havr the same issue, its great having hardware but its all around more difficult to set up, often not good to move around. I have Midi keyboard, and a few physical synths and everything needed on my desk but I'm on the other side of the room most the time making music with nothing but the laptop and plugins. I can't be bothered to sit down at My desk.
Of course, I can be wrong, but for some reason there is such a feeling and such an opinion that the first original microkorg sounds somehow richer and more pleasant. What do you think about this, that one sounds better, and the second is better thought out
I can't possibly imagine why. This isn't the XL or something, it's just a plain MicroKorg with built-in speakers (on a battery synth) + double patch memory = better. The looks maybe?
The XL does have a different sound engine and thus sounds different. THE OG and S share the same engine (taken from the MS2000). A huge difference as well is that the XL is harder to program, because you have only one knob to adjust the values + 2 other knobs to navigate the menues. Some key parameters can be changed a bit easier, but if you want to start from scratch, you have to dive deep into the menues of the XL. If you only want to use presets or use the editing software, the XL can be quite nice. It sounds a bit more hi-fi in a way, but misses some of the edge and character of the OG. Some sounds do sound quite different, others are almost the same (you can upload the factory patches from the OG into the XL. I did it to compare their sounds.)

To turn the speaker off turn the edit select 2 knob to global and then turn the release pot and it will show on/off on the lcd.
THANKS :) Hi, Can this machine charge on cord or is it only battery?
Nice intro to the MicroKorg. You can turn the speckers off in the global settings, which will stay off untill you turn it back on.
I planning on purchasing one very soon
Thinking of buying one for my daughter!
Did ya? They would be a great buy l!
Shame the left channel with the voice over is so low in the mix. Think is a nice video with a good information.

hi. so, can you connect a larger speaker and it will cancel out the built in speakers?
Great video!!
Is the micro korg or the mini nova better?
You can turn the speakers off on Global settings 👌🏻 great comparison though man 👍🏻
Oh okay. Thank you good sir. I have been using that adapter to turn them off
@@jamesdripsmusic1581 all good sir 👍🏻
great job can it be a talkbox
It has a vocoder. Talkboxes are different to vocoders.
Great video
MicroKorg S 👍
I'm pretty sure it tells you the values the same way on the OG
The other one did tell you the arp tempo. It was the cuttoff knob when in the edit knob under Arp A&B. Just so you know.... no biggie. Nice video.
Hey! Is the keyboard itself any different? I never liked the stiffness of the keys in OG MicroKorg. Heard that MicroKorg XL had better keys. Maybe this one also has those improved keys
They feel exactly the same to me. I wouldn't be able to tell a difference just on feel
I have an XL and I wouldnt say the keys are that different.
thank you guys
Keys on OG are stupid stiff and only useful for programming patches. That oysterlovers guy must have a super heavy touch.
My Novation MiniNova obviously took inspiration from the Korg Microkorg, I have a MiniNova.

seems exactly the same to me
They sound identical - the S just has additional features: inbuilt speakers, more presets
Sounds better? Aren’t they the same engine?
Yes there is no difference just some undated presets.
hehehe to cancel the sound turn Edit select 2 to global and turn 4th nob to OFF so you only hear in your headphones!
Can't believe that they did not gave it a usb port. That is the least they could have done but I still like it and will buy it.
And that's why they didn't put a usb port on it.
nice video
BUT
why's your voice panned right?
it makes it hard to watch
You mean it makes it hard to listen to!
That's why they only have 85 subs, would of been a good video if the audio wasn't so terrible.
Sub'd, 1 minute in.
BALANCE YOUR AUDIO, CHRIST
True but caps lock why?
Did you just refer to him as Christ?
@@JayTheLane Its really annoying audio.
Your audio in this video is really messed up.
I know. I made a rookie mistake. I realized after filming. posted it anyways
@@jamesdripsmusic1581 Put the video as unlisted fix the audio then reupload.

@@vjspectron but why would be the xl, on the other hand, be worse ?
@@josephliam4064totally different interface. Worse actually compared to the OG. Don't have an opinion on the presents.

There is no such thing as a "pre-note" and whatever you called the other params. You should learn what ADSR actually is.
Ewww... pre note lol
F..... 80 Style
You sound mono :D
Jesus. Thank god there is a fast forward button. Stuttering Steve made 3 minutes worth of content and stretched it into an unnecessary 12 1/2 minutes!
There are way better reviews than this
