World War 2 - Probability Zero (1)

- This is a 1969 Italian movie set in Norway (which looks suspiciously Mediterranean!) where Henry Silva leads a team on a mission to destroy the remnants of a downed RAF aircraft, being analysed by German technicians in an underground lab, before they can discover the secrets of its radar system.
I enjoyed this film when I watched it recently. It's not that well known but is definitely well worth getting if you can get a copy (it is pretty rare though).
This is part 1 of 2 - Розваги
For those wondering why Norwegian partisans would have an Italian machinegun (a Breda M1937 in the ambush, first seen at 00:23); it seems that when the SOE began supplying resistance movements in Europe, a lot of early shipments included Italian weapons that had been captured in North Africa, because there were large stocks and no real need for them anywhere else. So it *could* have happened...
👍
Forse il miglior film di Maurizio Lucidi. Senza dubbio uno dei piu spettacolari e serrati war movies all'italiana.
+Maurizio Bianciotto Sono d'accordo.
Sometimes you wonder if the soldiers won't hit anybody from their own army, special when you look at the direction the guns are pointing. Like at 0:41 in this one :-)
A lot of action on both sides. Like the German getting hit at 1:33.
Even the dead guy at 2:57 was scared by the hand grenade.
Excellent stabbing and knife action at 6:21-6:45.
The guy coming out of the water at 8:38 was also a good hit. He turned into feed for the fish.
Thank you for this first part. Another good one!
Now the next part. Have some catching up to do :-)
Yes, a high body count on all sides!!! Thank you Gary, glad you liked this one :-)

Great film, tnx
The great movie ever made
A classic 😉
Available on Amazon and free to view for Prime members.
I remember reading about this movie in my local library.
Those are clearly the plains of Italy.
Its awesome.
Yes, it's definitely not Norway that's for sure! Why they didn't just set it in Italy I don't know. It's the only thing about the movie I didn't like - the scenery is totally out of place :-)
Perhaps hey we trying to shy their country away from the war.
max rocchi Yes, maybe!

Easy to see why the Norwegians are so damned good at cross-country skiing, isn't it? ;o)
Those Golden years when you dont need "Reload" Function in Guns
One of the actors is Henry DeSilva
He's still going at 90!
worst ambush ever- colorized 1955
yes why not give your enemy a advantageous defensive position while you attack out in the open!
Ciao
Hello!
Once again a great clip! My favorite is the German at 2:06 min., because he wears black leather gloves. :-) The German marine soldier from 4:25 min. (on the left) is a real handsome guy. Would love to see him in leather boots and gloves... :-)
Thank you mate, glad you enjoyed it. And I agree with your top choices, I love them too - especially the soldier at 2:06 :-)
Why is all messed up at the end with all those repeats and in slow motion???? WHY? It Sucks! Too much noise. its annoying.
It's simple - don't watch the slow-mo edits :-)
What is the exact name of this movie? I would like to search for it and buy a copy of it. Is it available on DVD or VHS anywhere?
That is it's proper title mate, 'Probability Zero', from 1969. It's an Italian movie and it's title there was 'Probabilità zero'. I think it's on eBay in the UK at present but it is very rare.
You're in luck, this guy has it in full! ua-cam.com/video/cUz1CwlwqeI/v-deo.html

@@hermanmoore3301 It's one of the perils of UA-cam I'm afraid. They delete videos and channels at a whim!
foreverblueclassic ,War 2! oke
Idk who the incompetent director of the movie is, but that Sniper scene is just hilarious. Were people back in the 60s really that stupid?
wow

1:23 nice pistol kill
Very nice!

0:52.........AND YES! WE HAVE A WINNER! IT IS YUGOSLAVIA AFTER ALL! THE GUY AT THE FAR RIGHT, BEARS A STANDARD M52 YUGOSLAV ARMY THOMPSON SMG LEATHER AMMUNITION POUCH! SUCH POUCHES WERE ALSO SEEN IN OTHER (...even more famous - Such as "Kelly's Heroes") MOVIES, THAT WERE SHOT IN THAT COUNTRY! INDEED, THERE ARE ALSO PLENTY, OF ITALIAN STUFF AROUND, BUT THIS WAS EITHER, BECAUSE THE ITALIANS HAVE BROUGHT THEM, WITH THE REST OF THE CREW AND THE PRODUCTION, OVER THERE, OR THEY WERE SIMPLY DROWNED, BY YUGOSLAV ARMY STORAGE (.... The Axis forces, have left, plenty of such stock, when they left Yugoslavia, at the end of the war! The Yugoslavs, were particularly smart, as to maintain most of them, in very good condition, for many more decades)! ACTOR HENRY SILVA, AT FAR LEFT, ALSO CARRIES AN OLD YUGOSLAV ARMY, JNA, CHEMICAL WARFARE TIN BOX! THIS MOVIE WAS DEFINITELY SHOT IN YUGOSLAVIA!
Thanks for the information. It was still an Italian financed movie, even if filmed in Yugoslavia. It's clearly not Norway!
what is going on with those professional knifecatchers
Norway (which looks suspiciously Mediterranean!) hahahahahaha......
They had a heatwave that year lol.
@@foreverblueclassics EITHER THAT, OR NORWAY DECIDED TO RELOCATE TO YUGOSLAVIA (...because that's where that movie, was really shot)!!!
@@theonemesis5217 I know it's not Norway, I was being facetious!
Come on !!!!!
1:21....WHAT "suspiciously Mediterranean"?! THE GUY MANNING THE MG34, IS WEARING AN OLD, YUGOSLAV JNA ALPINE FORCES, CAP, WITH COLLAPSIBLE EAR FLAPS! THERE ARE GOOD CHANCES, THAT EVEN THOUGH OF ITALIAN PRODUCTION, THE PARTICULAR MOVIE, IN QUESTION, MIGHT HAVE HAD FILMED, IN EX YUGOSLAVIA, ITSELF!
I said "suspiciously Mediterranean" as it's clearly not Norway, which is where it is SUPPOSED to be set. If it was filmed in Yugoslavia then thank you for the information. The director, most of the crew and cast though are certainly Italian.
@@foreverblueclassics 6:00 padlock on the door is made in TITAN factory from Kamnik. This film is filmed in Yugoslavia as one of the many coproduction films filmed then.
@@darkomiceski3755 Thank you for the information.
Is this Croatia coast?
It's an Italian film so I'd guess it was Italy. It's supposed to be Norway, but it's nothing like it lol.
foreverblueclassics m
MOST PROBABLY YES!
@@foreverblueclassics NO YOU IDIOTS! IT WAS IN YUGOSLAVIA! MANY OF THE GEAR USED THERE, IS OBVIOUSLY TAKEN FROM EX YUGOSLAV ARMY STOCKS! I HAVE PLENTY SIMILAR STUFF IN MY OWN YUGOSLAV COLLECTION! I KNOW!
@@theonemesis5217 It's an Italian made movie so it's not surprising to assume it was filmed in Italy. Thank you for the info that it was filmed in Yugoslavia. I don't think calling people idiots is called for though.
As to the description, that was NOT the Mediterranean. Anyone that has been to Norway knows that Extreme Southern Norway looks just like Italy. Norther Norway is full of albino white people, whilst Southern Norway has olive skinned locals. And Arrivederci in Norwegen is Hasta la vista, baby Der Weinerhosen. I love the authenticity of this classic Norwegian film that was made by Italians in Eastern Estonia.
Is is exactly opposite Sir! In the north, and west coast of Norway, is a lot of darker haired people, due to Spanish fishermen landing their fish there.
THERE GOES ANOTHER IDIOT!....WHAT "EASTERN ESTONIA" AND CRAP, YOU MORON?!!!! WAKE UUUUUUUUPPPPPP! THE MOVIE WAS SHOT IN YUGOSLAVIA!....GET IT, INTO YOUR THICK SCULL....YUGOSLAVIA!....IDIOT!

Most of the deaths were caused by bad acting.
+Demtrek LOL! Actually, this one is much better than most "Macaroni Combat" movies, though I know it doesn't have a lot of competition when it comes to acting :-)
foreverblueclassics
Yea, then also we have a 4 mins dramatic scene of them hanging the box of explosives off the bottom of the truck because simply putting the box below the truck real quick would never work. You see this is why the Germans lost, its obvious knives and harpoons work much better then machine guns.
+Demtrek Ha ha, true :-)

please in spanish.
Sorry, I don''t know how to do that.
