Did you guys know that Akechi and Ken were born in the same month and the same year? Both Justice arcana. It's so weird to think about, how they're technically the same age in Akechi's timeline but in the Q series Ken is in an earlier time so, he's younger. And they have so damn much in common, both lost their moms, both had to deal with injustice. They both went down two completely different paths. If Ken hadn't had the P3 crew, how far would his heart have darkened in trying to uncover the truth about his mom from the Kirijo group? It's weirder to think that Ken could have had an actual crossover in P5 and it be reasonably plausible. Like maybe he's involved with the Shadow Operatives and they're trying to figure out what's going on with the mental shutdowns and the Phantom Thieves being a possible connection to another world that is causing problems in the real world (which would actually make them relevant given they're supposed to be doing things like that?)
There’s a really popular persona fanfic that follows the exact idea you put out, even making akechi and Ken foils, It’s called “Ace in the Hole”

Context for anyone who reads this: In the previously mentioned longfic, Ken and Akechi are cousins, although their mothers are twin sisters, which would technically make them genetic half-brothers.

Just bought PQ & PQ2 yesterday, and honestly? It's better than I expected. I'm 10 hours in and just at the beginning of the 2nd theater. While the combat and exploration takes a little bit to get used to compared to SMT or mainline Persona, it's definitely opened my mind to later playing an Etrian Odyssey. The gameplay loop is practically addicting, and the combat is surprisingly tough on Normal (at least going back to base refills health and SP).
Meanwhile the OST is just, like, **chef's kiss**
The gameplay is intresting for few hours and then after the middle story of 2nd theater it become meh

Lotus Juice's voice has something I can't pin point. I'm not even that much into rap like lyrics like these but when it's I can't help but groove along.

Double twist then. This is why I played P3 after playing P5, because I knew I'd hardly get a chance to play it blind if I played all of P4 first. And twist villain of P4 was spoiled already by that point, so damage was DONE!

Maybe a fight against their Shadows ? I haven't played P5 so I don't know if there's an appearance of a Shadow Akechi, but maybe a fight against their Shadow Selves, first serparately in human form and then as one monstruous fused form ? Shinjiro in PQ already had a good deal of insight on his situation, and it seems Akechi is also getting a lot of it in PQ2, so maybe there could be a plot about them facing their literal Shadows to get rid of their respective regrets ocne and for all, or to accept their deeds and move on.
@@martindouge1947 in PQ Shinji kinda had a chance to move on with his dilemma together with everyone else, but he instead choose that "he doesn't want to change because he had already decided what path to follow, and doesn't want to loose sight of his wishes", and his persona doesn't change (but instead grows more powerful while remaining the same)

It's interesting how, with this game's message of not being afraid of being an individual that I'm alright w/ it because it's from Japan. The US has that kinda messaging all over the place from the time you're a lil kid, but Japan's collectivist nature makes it not like, super kiddy or anything like that for me, if that makes sense. Does make sense w/ the P5 case basically being the main characters of this one
even then I would say the US has some sort of collectivism ingrained into many people's lives to this day, what with patriotism and all that making people think their lives matter less than a flag
that’s why I like PQ2. it’s overall message really resonated with me as someone who struggled with individuality and considering how I related to Hikari alot it felt like i was being heard throughout this game.
aand i guess you could say i took the game’s message to heart because I’ve stopped trying to “fit in” and instead, embrace the part of me that makes me unique

I think the funniest thing this game revealed was that Akechi was a Naoto fanboy. Also cool how 5 and 4 are in the same world just different times. This the song that plays when the game throws you into a boss that kicks your arse the whole time making you fight for your life. Also if this was made post royal Loki would be his awakened persona likely.

so i really like this song probably my favorite persona song lotus juice has so over the 20 times if listened to this song i've heard the lyrics and for the past 2 years have tried to analyze it (well just now i have but that's beside the point). spoilers ahead
starting at 0:19 i think this is suppose to be a back and forth between joker and crow with lyrics like "it takes a simple nod to fall in line but it takes everything to stand alone eventually you may end up crossing the line and fully understand that your ass is on you're own believe me" coming from joker. joker is trying to tell akechi that with fallowing through with his plans to expose all of shido's crimes on live television and killing him and the other thieves he'd probably just be even more alone then before. after all joker himself can relate to this joker tried to help that women from getting sexually assaulted by shido but since shido is a well respected politician he was able to pin the crime on joker. in a sitution when you get pinned for a crime you didn't do nor do you have any evidence to prove it was not you and the japanese government assumes it was you because this guy you didn't know was a politician said so it really makes you feel well like your ass is on your own.
0:29 akechi scoffing at this saying "i don't judge you just because of what you do so don't judge me on things i'd rather not do" akechi doesn't judge joker just because of his thieving activates (nor the fact that he has like 10-12 girls friends and might be one night standing with ryuji and yusuke) so why does he judge him on things he'd rather not do. akechi has always wanted to acknowledged for his skills yet never did if akechi could've found another way to be acknowledged then he probably wouldn't have become shido's puppet nor would he go to these extremes.

Lost touch to a few close ones cuz I didn't give in" lyric is talking about this could be a joker line but at the same time joker didn't seem like he was close to anyone at his home town except maybe any family that was down there and with how japans society is it wouldn't be wise to try not try to fit in with the norms. the rest of the lyrics this verse i believe is just a harmony between joker and akechi. 1:23 door kun talks about after his parnets died he had been living his live for 10 years just because. door kun has desperately been trying to find a reason to live when door kun saw his pernets die it his new loner personality killed the inocense pf the little boy that was instead him almost like a clone killing the real thing. he has to keep telling himself that he is so much stronger for not trying to make bonds because he won't ever have to experience the moment of weakness ever again.
1:46 i think it's yu's verse and this is the most easy out of the 3 previous parts yu is talking about how he isn't anything without his bonds.

I guess..., Kamoshida needs another beating. I know that this is a fake version of him known as Kamoshidaman.
But, the part in which Minako/Hamuko tags alongside the Phantom Thieves to beat the shit out of Kamoshidaman just shows that Kamoshida is not just a threat to Persona 5, but to all of the Persona series. Hence is the reason that I hate him so much from P5!

Kitajoh really should be taking lead composer roles in the mainline series. A lot of Shoji's new stuff is mid since it peaked in P3. Kitajoh has been with him fort a while with the mainline games so it's time to pass the torch. Don't come at me P5 fans but that P5 soundtrack is just alright. Lyn definitely can't even perform well live either.
