Thank you for the conclusions at the end comparing the two wings sizes between the large Explorer wing (240 sq.in./1548 cm2) and small Patroller wing (200 sq.in./1290 cm2) ... I have a 5' Lift (60L displacement) with 170 surf wing and the 5'8' Waydoo Flyer One (110L displacement). I mostly use the Waydoo to help people learn to efoil as the extra board displacement has most people efoiling on their first time out without the need to get the board's speed just right.
You are most welcome! I find the Waydoo and it's epp foam board the perfect tool to give lessons with. This is probably what makes the WFO stands out (with its price as well). Thank you for your comment 👍
Hey Amatteus! I am in the Delta del Ebro region and full time resident at the Cabaña Wakepark in summer. Yes I do rentals, efoil lessons and represent the brand here in Spain. If you are interested I also propose private lessons anywhere between Barcelona and Valencia. You can contact me via WhatsApp 644733669 👍 (iniciación en castellano y francés también)
I’m trying to find a drone to track me when I efoil but did not see great reviews with mavic How u finding the mavic pro 2 drone for tracking u . Any issues did it loose u Cheees
Hi Steve! It only looses me when I fall. So I always make sure to keep enough battery to safely go back to shore and bring the drone back. When the M2P looses you it remains still. Worst case scenario if it runs out of battery the M2P should return home (point of take off) but I'd rather do it myself if I have time. Next time I will try to have the M2P to track the board instead of me and see if it helps when I fall. Overall I am very pleased with the M2P especially for tracking.
You probably haven’t had the Waydoo very long, but what do you think the reliability and service will be like? I’ve heard from other reviewers that the motor is very loud. Yes, no? I’m comparing this to the Lift and Fliteboard which are obviously much more expensive. Thanks for any insight!
I am using 2 Waydoos since early September 2020 and a third that came later on in November. I am not in the water everyday but I go out several times a week. So far so good! A few minor issues and a remote replaced under warranty. It's the first generation and considering the price, Waydoo is not doing too bad. The motor is kinda loud compare to the 2 big names but about the same as a Takuma. The latest I have received though is more quiet as Waydoo made some improvements. I am about to make a quick video to compare and show the upgrade.
