@devinwalters8769 dude I'm on a community fan page with over 2.6 million monster hunter fans. In 2018 you should of seen the comments about the handler, nobody liked her bro. It was 900,000 comments and growing of hate towards the handler. A very annoying character.

Don't assume anything especially if you weren't even present in the comments/conversation at that time. I was, so I know what was said and it shows there age. For example: Timothysamurai (45) is my friend, Timothy(first name) samurai(second name) and(45) age. Most of these guys were 30s and 40s.

To be fair it's a Japanese dev. The trends in "Western" AAA are far less present in "Eastern" AAA if at all (thank God, and let's hope the "Western" studio heads learn their lesson sooner than later).
I like that she doesn't have supermodel vibes, just physically fit, like she is a hard worker. Her face is cute, like a girl next door, rather than flawless. And her hairstyle is just "I don't care, this is what I did this morning." Casual vibe, basically. I wouldn't say she's overly sexualized either. She's too grease monkey in appearance and vibe (though that is certainly a thing too).
If people try to say she's not realistic, Imma defend her right to be physically fit in a smithy surrounded by hostile monsters. Even the middrif makes sense considering the location of the game looks like the hot, dry Savannah.
Honestly surprised more attention isn't on the glasses girl too, with the beanie. So far these female characters are actually pretty tame considering the usual types in Japanese-based games. That's probably WHY fans like her. Not perfect, but attractive nonetheless, because of said imperfection. Bravo.

Unironically? This is the perfect game for Kut Ku's return. With a heavy focus on ecology and biology, Kut Ku is the perfect early game returner to really hammer that concept home. He's got a tight relationship with Konchu and other invertebrates, and *iirc* his fire breath isn't actually fire, but instead materials collected from invertebrates regurgitated back out

@eggxecution I'd imagine, but do note that one doesn't make the other a necessity, ecologically ofc. Kut ku and garuga function very differently on that standpoint. One is a peaceful shell cruncher, the other is crack personified
Even if they were similar enough to link eachother as additions, Garuga was in World and Kut Ku wasn't. In Rise, similar examples are seen. Jaggi and Jaggia, but no G-Jaggi, Velociprey but no V-drome

Iceborne has a different smithy from World? Oh boy have I got a lot more progress to make... Still haven't been able to beat Anjanath. I'm tempted to take easy street and use Guardian armor and a Defender weapon, but I'm forcing myself to experience it "properly" and actually develop my skill. Great Jagras and... Kulu Yat Ku I think it's called? The giant chicken-like bird thing that grabs objects from the ground and holds them. Whatever it's called, that and Great Jagras are easy fodder for me, but Anjanath overwhelms me every time even when I bring Barrel Bombs (which to my disappointment aren't nearly as helpful as they were in the only other MH game I've played, MH4U.

Said LGBT characters are often not made well at all and only offer the most basic stereotypical LGBT personality traits, because again, the developers don't actually care and just want to pander.
