Building your own furniture can bring so much joy. However, not everyone has the necessary carpentry skills or the tools to make their own furniture. That shouldn't stop you from using simple DIY techniques to personalize your existing furniture and convert ordinary everyday furniture into a luxurious and unique decor piece. Join me in this journey of customising our existing Ikea table into an aesthetic coffee table using ceramic tiles.

This table arrived well packaged and on time. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxn94T8Mu1iMnsLCMNOI9srXSsLkI4JXKW Like another reviewer advised, I pulled everything out and made sure everything was included (everything was!). I built it alone and it took me about an hour. The color is great and for the price the lift part works well. As others have mentioned, it’s not the smoothest opening/closing, but it works. The screws do show, but I plan to order white sticker covers if that bothers us too much. Really happy with this table! UPDATE: it’s been over a year since we got this coffee table and we still love it! It gets HEAVY use as our dining table, foot rest, and school desk. Over time, the opening and closing mechanism has gotten smoother. I added a new photo with the white screw cover stickers. They blend in perfectly and make it look a little cleaner. 100% recommend!!!

Thankyou. the marble sheet is called mosaic tile and should be easily available in any hardware or tile shop. This is used for kitchen backsplash or for bathrooms

Thank you! You can try finding it at local hardware stores or exclusive tile stores close to you... we got ours from the nearest tile store here in Singapore

It's marble mosaic tiles and I purchased from a tile shop in Singapore. This is commonly available in any tile shop

Looks nice. Adding epoxy resin or hard glue on top will enhance the look and finish. But using epoxy has to follow safety precautions
Oh no way these are gorgeous glazed tiles, no point pouring resin on this, and the marble bits also beautifully reflect light only in bits and parts adding almost a bokeh effect... resin is better for non tile surfaces that you want to add a glossy smooth finish to 🙂

The tile was from a local tiles shop in Singapore. Should be available in most tile shops
Very nice and beautiful. I have one question though, since u did buy the grout mix so why didn't u use it to fix the tiles as well instead of using the e6000 glue?
Grout essentially is to add finishing, add rigidity and support to already attached tiles, grout won't hold tiles like the adhesive, they will eventually crack and fall off... gaps you can keep refilling with grout but the base has to be strong and that's the purpose of a tile adhesive... grout won't do that job 😊

As usual love your content ❤. I would love to see if you create any DIY with air dry clay or polymer clay and one suggestion, if you've left over tiles then you can create small planters!🙂
No worries, and yes I do plan on doing a DIY video with air dry clay 😊 left over tiles are a great planter idea, I only have some marble mosaic tile left and I was planning on just cutting them up and using them as coasters maybe 😉
@@NestArtfully Yes coasters would like great too. Since the marble tiles are flexible, you can even use them on tin cans or any box to give it a "trash to class" kind of look + usability.. Something like stationary holder or make up storage. May be I am boring you now😂.. Hahaha.. U definitely have much better ideas than me. Anyways will wait for more videos. I would have just used acrylic paint to cover the table with the print on the tile and used varnish... So much hard work... 😢
