- Had a chance to speak with Bruce Woods, owner of Souther Cross Agency about what it takes to get commercial marine insurance. Bruce is an industry expert and comes from owning his own parasail business. It can be daunting to find this type of insurance but it is possible!

Thank you so much for this video Ian and Bruce! I am a south Florida local that needs an income and I love the water & This did help show that it’s not intimidating to start a jetski business. I can relate that family and friends will think of this as high risk but in reality all business require a process to set up.

What if I wanna just rent my Jetski? I’m a busy person who works 6 out of 7 days of the week. I own a Jetski and a Boat. I would like to rent it so I could make so money off them rather than having them sit in my house. It would be nice if the money the Jetski and boat makes would be enough to pay for maintenance, tabs, and some gas that’s all I really want. Not a business or anything just having my stuff make some money on the side. Hence why I made an account with GetMyBoat but they disabled my account since I don’t have insurance and they specifically want a commercial insurance for both. Which is a pain in the but
