Genius! I don’t know how you came up with boat trailer carpet and steel wool for cleaning diamond plate, but GENIUS! I’ll report back. I’ve got a 7x12 cargo trailer I bought that hadn’t been moved in 8 years. Trailer paint and diamond plate both have set records for oxidation.
Thank you for the tips and putting the video together.
Excellent going to give it a go thanks for sharing great video
That is crazy, I would have never thought of that. Thanks
Thanks
Wow brilliant idea I will definitely be doing that on mine cuz that sure looked mirror finish and I got a Jack Russell that has to have her belly rubbed too.
Yes, give it a try. It has worked very well for us. Think we just spoil our furry kids but wouldn't do it any other way!
Thanks that's exactly what I needed.
Glad I could help
Amazing idea. Thanks for the tip! I heard you say in the video that you do this once, maybe twice a year. Would it extend the life of the polish with a spray wax every month? Just an idea and save you from doing this so frequently. Anyways cheers! I’m trying this carpet idea out!
Good info man, thks
Thanks
How do I remove the fine scratches?
Hi Billy! I am not sure what type of aluminum you are trying to get fine scratches out of, whether it is diamond plating or flat smooth aluminum. But I have worked out a lot of fine scratches on both of these surfaces with using the Grade #0000 Steel Wool and some 2000 grit sand paper. While using the steel wool or sand paper, I apply a dab of the Mothers Compound Polish. Once I am satisfied with the results, I use the same polishing method I used in the video with the polishing buffer. I suggest testing a small area before doing a large area in order to test results to make sure you are happy with it. Sometimes it can be a slow process to get the satisfaction you are looking for. Hope this helps you. Sorry for the delay in responding. Thanks for watching!
Good idea 👍
I don’t know if it got cleaned or just the blue color of the carpet went into the aluminum 🤔😒
Mothers is useless on anything but like new surfaces. Don't waste your money!
Can scratches be removed?
