XG has been around ever since 2022. They are a seven member group. All of them are Japanese based out in Korea. They are not considered K-pop or even J-pop four members out of the seven can rap/Mc’s the other three members are the vocal line…. But all seven members can sing 🎶 along with that they are very talented dancers 💃🏽 their debut song is called Tippy Toes followed by mascara… all their songs are in English, but the rap line is definitely trilingual meaning they can also rap in Japanese their native tongue and in Korean and English…. There is also a documentary on the girls if you want to get to know them. It’s called extra extra.

thx for the reaction, Woke Up was all members rapping, tape 2 was the 4 main rappers, XG is a 7 member group from Japan, they operate out of South Korea, their age are 18~22, they trained for 5 yrs before their debut(2022) ,XG is one of one, what other group can rap(rapping rapping), r&b, pop and edm, for more rap, check out hesonoo/xgene, show you can, tape 1, 2, 3a, 3b, 4 - tape 4 is four solo tracks and and group track - for r&b, check out left right (there is also a remix featurig Ciara and Jackson Wang), winter without you and vox 6 losing you. The vox series are cover songs by the vocal line (Chisa, Juria and Hinata), the rap line is Jurin, Harvey, Maya and Cocona, the tapes (think mixtape) are rap tracks using beats from JID, J.Cole, etc. XG uses their own lyrics. Great lineup! XG is a group that is well worth the deep dive - I've been following them since their debut, and they are a super talented group. Their original songs are all in English.

7 members, all Japanese, though they also train and promote in Korea and appear on Kpop shows. They have 3 'cover' series: their MOVE series are dance covers, featuring the whole group (except for the 7 MOVE#2 vids, which are individual performances); the VOX series which highlights the 3 'vocalists' in the group (Chisa, Hinata, Juria), and the TAPE series, which features the 4 'rappers' (Jurin, Harvey, Maya, Cocona). "Woke Up" was their first pure rap original release. They debuted in March of 2022 with "Tippy Toes".
I will add them to the list of groups to deep dive. They peaked my interest

XG are a japanese global girl group. they’re not Kpop nor Jpop, they refer to themselves as Xpop, they have their own genre.
all the members are japanese, under the company XGALX, a sub-label of the japanese company AVEX. their CEO is Simon JAKOPS, an ex kpop idol from the group DMTN.
XG debuted in 2022 with the single Tippy Toes.
XG is composed of 7 members:
- 6:28 , 7:49 Jurin, born in 2002 (leader, main dancer, lead rapper, vocalist)
- 7:10 Chisa, born in 2002 (main vocalist)
- 8:02 , 9:08 Hinata, born in 2002 (main dancer, sub vocalist)
- 6:58, 8:42 Harvey, japanese-australian, born in 2002 (main rapper, sub vocalist)
- 8:16 Juria, born in 2004 (main vocalist)
- 7:23, 8:30 Maya, born in 2005 (lead vocalist, rapper)
- 7:36 , 8:55 Cocona, born in 2005 (maknae, main rapper)
the tapes are made to show off their rap line (that’s why there are only 4 members) and they also have VOX videos to show off their vocal line (the 3 other members). all their official releases are in english but in the tapes they rap in 3 languages: english, japanese and korean

It's really sad that even though many foreign artists wish to collaborate with RV, SM does not give them a chance. They were the first SM artist to pierce through the US market but the agency even ignored the catcall of a well-known US music label and gave it to another group instead of them. They could've been an even bigger group but SM keep sabotaging them.
That's super sad to hear. RV is really good and breaking into a US market could really push for more international fans
Luvies just get so stressed because of the wasted opportunities. It seems to me that SM does not wish for Red Velvet to be too famous. They were toe to toe with TWICE and BLACKPINK back then but because of the way SM mistreats Red Velvet, they can't solidify their ground in the international market. They reign in the local scene though, much more than the other two. If you ever become a solid Luvie, you'll get to witness how unfair they are treated and it will really frustrate you lol

Most girlgroups are mistreated by their company so it's honestly not surprising. SM, in particular, always prioritize their boy groups (except EXO who were treated just like Red Velvet, they were equal with BTS before, seems like SM wanted to control their fame because they're getting too popular). For now, SM is treating Aespa (currently the youngest gg from them) a lot better than RV but we're afraid that SM will start treating them like they treat RV since they'll be debuting another new gg soon for 5th gen.

Dreamcatcher's earlier songs have got the anime rock vibe, and u ll see as the songs progress, they add newer styles to the songs that make them extremely catchy.Their dystopia trilogy songs, mainly Scream and Boca alongwith Dejavu (not in the trilogy) are top favourites of both fans and reactors.I love ur reactions, especially Red velvet being my Ult grp, and I hope that u ll get the same vibe with Dreamcatcher as u watch more.
I am not counting DC out yet, still interested to hear more from them.
dreamcatcher’s rock songs are heavily inspired by japanese rock, that’s why a lot of people get anime vibes from them

5:24 if you don’t really vibe with this sound, you shoukd check out their bsides! they’re very versatile and cover many different genres of music. their rock vibe is mainly in their title tracks
