I loooove when artists use Usagi’s ears to convey his emotions! Oh mi Gosh this whole animation is so cute! Leo’s dream was so heartbreaking too. I have a lot to say but just I love this!
I. Love. This. So. Much. Usagi’s ears perking when he sees Leo, the fluidity of the animations, the adorable awkwardness of these two helpless boys! So well done!
Favorite scene in this is the one in the training room because Usagi being a sore loser and knocking Leo off his sword is so funny and it's immediately followed up with him feeling like his love isn't requited and kicking training dummy ass over it like omg! But the cutest moment for Usagi was when he was lying in the grass and his ears were flopped out while the butterfly flew overhead. So adorable! Seriously loved this! I think I've watched it like 5 times today alone. Can you tell I'm on a Leosagi kick right now?

Like, there's actual MOVEMENT and you can see story and dialogue and a dynamic conveyed in the character's movements and expressions, and the shots are actually connected!! It genuinely feels like something you can continue with lineart and color etc etc into a fully realized animation, great job dude!!

Ah yes xd, i was a tmnt fan before rise already, bc the 2012 show was my childhood basically, when rise came out and i as a TMNT fan and also 2d animator watched it, was just overwhelmed by how good this series is, think it influenced my artstyle and animation style very much as well xd so good, currently rewatching it and man, such an epic show
