I am just so happy that people like Jacob exist in this world. Humble, creative, optimistic, hard working human being. He totally deserved it and his mom too 🙏
He's Not working hard. He just casually is incredible good at what He loves the most. I'm pretty Sure if you ask hi, thats No work for him. Music is his life.
he's been asked @@Maaadmaan , he has worked hard, in fact he mentions in several interviews how he had to work to get his hands to catch up to his mind.
If I had a nickel for every time Jacob Collier got two Grammy's in a row and had to return from backstage, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
I don’t think we’ve even really tapped into this beautiful mind, I’m glad I found out about him, his humble nature + his brilliance just warms my heart
It's so wise if you think about the excitement. If you're in control and don't slip/crash into sth., it's a great way to communicate your emotions, and relief some of the stress that comes with it!.
look at the stadium. there are at least 30% of the seats unoccupied. No respect from the Rappers and Popstars. Jacob Collier is creating the music of the future, and they're gonna sample the shit outta his creations in retrospect. Deplorable.
One of the most gifted talents but I strangely find it difficult to connect with his music. Perhaps my audience isn’t what he seeks, and that should be okay!
He doesn't seem to seek audience, he just creates what feels good for him. Some people connect with it, some don't. For me these hyperactive first overproduction arrangements aren't what I emotional connect - although they are very impressive. But the weird artificial sound of 100 stacked and pitched Jacob voices is something you have to connive. But once you get used to his voice and style, the music grows on you, especially his more empathic, calmer songs, especially covers are what gives me a feeling of such musical pureness and beauty. Check out his interview with Paul Davids about his thoughts on the guitar or live versions of "dancing queen", "all at sea" or the Mahagony sessions.
thats the first time I've seen the Grammys... and I gotta say, its pretty anti-climactic. not even all the seats are used.. and thats pre covid. that being said: Jacob was back then one of the most deserving people for that award
As a person with strong imposter syndrome, a start-up, several patents, no success but I have delivered my products to Tim Cook's personal board room... I envy sooo much people that just thrive through life. I'm not saying it's hard work, it is, but the guy is just so talented it's ridiculous, he's just a master of his realm. I see this kind of people here and there that just seem like they can go through life with a bit more resting pulse. Personally I just feel like the sky is going to fall down on me at any point, never a time to rest or feel I'm in control. If so for just a few minutes. I'm not asking for sympathy, it's just I wish I was a master like this.
And what is the point comparing them? They do different things, they have different appeal, and work in different genres. I feel like you're trying to say something, but I think your point is lost.
Been following Jacob for years and he's a musical inspiration but the "I'm just a goofy 9yo at heart" schtick is wearing thin. Dude will be 30 this year.

Oh my god, this comment is amazing, it's like the stars aligned for this moment
Poetic! ❤
He also ran the same way lol
So glad he is getting attention! He is sooo creative and humble. A beautiful person!
Right? Not many people see him for what he truly is!
He is THE kindest, clearest thinking human on the planet plus the most gifted.
I don’t think we’ve even really tapped into this beautiful mind, I’m glad I found out about him, his humble nature + his brilliance just warms my heart
Yes, an eternal aura eminating from him of _wonderful things to come, from him, for us, for the world..._ Optimism unbounded.
Hes a pure soul and a genius of music!! :) 😊
I love that he came running onstage!
such a genius but oh so humble and personable.
I like how he clearly only prepared 1 speech 🤣
5:53 "i will see you very soon!" he was not kidding
I love how he sprints up there like his life depends on it

All that was missing was his videos at the 2024 Grammys, and his appearance to present the award at the 2021 Grammys.

If I could speak half as smooth as this criminal…. Mmmmmmmm! Congrats!

I hate the moment at 3:30 😄😄. Dude, hope not to compete with you ever again, you are too much!! Love and respect.
Would be nice to include years to the fragments
Bros got 5 wins with 7 nominations all being at the young age of 29.

This is from 2017..?
Yay Jacob ❤❤❤
I think it was 2017 & 2019.
what stevie wonder ballad was he refering to?
Wow…’You and I’ Stevie Wonder…great song…great great arrangement..there s only about 10 peeps on the planet capable of doing that kind of work
Why was the 11:12 part included? Humble him after all those wins😄
oh, real music at the Grammys. rare

Moon River is Symphony For Voice…incredible…ohh and he created the video too
Jeff Dumham really going hard with his dolls these days.
Ah the version of the show with real musicians

Shout out Jason Bentley on the recorded presentation

You and everyone else. He’s popular because of meme value, not music value.
He s popular w skilled musicians…I guess..of which you re NOT one…sorry for your loss

Did you get that loud suit from an intergalactic pimp?
FYI: this is not the 2024 Grammys
Yes, it's his previous ones
thats the first time I've seen the Grammys... and I gotta say, its pretty anti-climactic. not even all the seats are used.. and thats pre covid.

These are the non-televised categories so either it's earlier in the day or the day before the big show.
@@TheBigburciethat makes a lot of sense ^^
Wait! Jacob didn't hug the presentor. Aren't we supposed to make a big deal about it and malign him like Taylor Swift? No, let's not.
who?

Actually, it should be "You and me."
I didn't liked the last interviewer she was so cocky and provocative ...
Is this for real?? All these songs were written way before he was even born.
He keeps saying 2017, but the posting says 2024. Very unhelpful.
These are all of his Grammy a …he now has 6
He is much more talented than Taylor Swift
Is it not even insulting to Compare Jacob to Taylor... They're not even close.
And what is the point comparing them? They do different things, they have different appeal, and work in different genres. I feel like you're trying to say something, but I think your point is lost.
He is much more talented than essentially anybody…
We need not put others down to bring oneself up.
You're comparing a musical genius to a fad
That doesn't look like the same grammy's hosted by Trevor Noah this year.
It's his previous Grammy wins.
amazing that people win rewards for other people's music xD
It's an arrangement
