Colin Hanks gives Streamin' Garage his first interview following the Dexter Season 6 finale. Colin Hanks talks with Kat and Mandy about the challenges in playing Travis Marshall, DDK - The Doomsday Killer. He reveals when he and other cast members knew the secret of Professor Geller, tells behind the scenes stories about the cast including Michael C Hall and Edward James Olmos and takes questions from fans. - Розваги
This is my first time watching one of these nifty afterthought videos since Lost, so it's pretty refreshing. I'm glad you guys have the enthusiasm and love for the show to do stuff like this! I really don't mind listening to people talk about Dexter for any length of time - thanks!
Very nice work. I appreciate the time and effort everybody brings. Great that Mr. Hanks was willing to come and he had interesting things to say about the process. I will continue watching.
Great show. Its really good getting insight from an actor for such a length of time rather than a 10 minute segment of them just promoting something. Can't wait for season 7 and the WINcest force of justice of deb and dex.
That was easily the most epic cliffhanger in the history of television. From what I've heard, the series is booked for another two seasons, which means they're somehow going to keep it going WITH Deb knowing all about Dexter's secret. My guess is that Deb's going to keep her mouth shut, at least for a while. I am however dreading the possibility that she uses this as leverage to make Dexter "reciprocate" if you catch my drift...
I'm so happy that you got Colin Hanks on the show! He seems like a great guy and it was fun to hear what he had to say... BUT, I wish I could have heard what you guys *really* thought of this season. I felt like it was so predictable. The only surprise moment was at the end but everything else was badly written I thought. even last season there were shocking moments in almost every episode where you'd say "Holy Sh#t!" Are you going to do another season 6 wrap up? Please say yes? xoxo
hey awesome interview guys.. you dont usually see such in depth interviews with quality actors like Colin Hanks..It gives you a genuine feel for whats going on in the "dugout" of the dexter filming process... If you dont mind me asking.. Is he required to do interviews like this as a media portion of his contract to dexter.. or do you have to reach out to him and lets say "persuade" him to come in?
I hate how people who can't get things done criticize the ones who can. That they got a cast member to be on a fan made web show it's pretty incredible, and I see nothing wrong with the two girls they're perfectly fine interviewers to me, it's nice to see someone who actually knows the show asking the questions as opposed to "real" interviewers who have no clue what they're doing and are only there because they're getting paid.
@RonnyWho When Masuka was observing Gellar's hand on the statue, Dexter says "It was on ice for 3 years along with the rest of Gellar".
I came back to say that you do see the bible that Colin talks about in the final scene. And up on my return I would also like to say that the haters of Kat and Mandy are idiots. This is a fan show by the fans for the fans. I hope you continue to do this for the remaining 2 seasons because this has become a very enjoyable part of the Dexter experience for me.
Great season as always I can't watch Dexter without this show anymore, it's brilliant. Laguerta redeemed herself at the end though by encouraging DEB I feel anyway.
I always wish you guys would ask your guest if they or the writers watch Stupid For Dexter. I know Quin did but you should really tell them too so they know how the audience thinks and appreciates them. Cloin seemed like had'nt watched but is impressed with the insight. Please tell them to watch old and new eps :)
Amazing interview! Colin is awesome! Think you will be able to get Michael C. Hall on there? I don't see how you could keep it together if he was though lol
Actually, by about the 10 minute mark, it gets much better
@nizamm im not sure its an assumption because i remember her stating she heard him talk to someone else. Thus SHE assumes there are 2 people.
@DarylZero13 Thanks so much!
Hey, I'm watching season 1 over again trying to make a Louis/Brian connection. I think Louis might be Dexters brother. All his memories were real hazy. Louis resembles Dex more then Brian did. He might not have been at the moms murder scene? Can't wait till September! Great show by the way!
@musictree2007 Thanks for watching the #1 Dexter fan show on the web!
@RonnyWho Nope. Dexter says Gellar had been dead 'all along'. Also, he had mentioned Gellar's hand decomposed faster because it was in the freezer for such a long time.
S06E01 was the first episode of Dexter I saw. I was really excited to see what would happen with Colin's character after he killed the fruit vendor. Then I started to really Dexter because he's a smart atheist.
@nizamm She said I think there were two, and she references Travis talking to the older one.
Dexter NEVER has his victims clothed on the table.
i think you have 3 possible senarios. 1st is that deb faints and forgets what she saw, 2nd is that she see's it and confronts dex, 3rd is that it was a dream. i would go with #2 because it is also important for her career as Lt that she catch DDK, so dex could fess up and turn travis's body over to her making her the hero...then they go one season with deb knowing his secret and then the final season with dex on trial or something like that.
@nizamm Because Travis was addressing someone else so her being blindfolded assumes theres someone in the room. Also when Travis talks to her he was gentle yet i bet when he brought her in he was rough, thus she thinks there's two dif people.
Dexter... GET 'EM
@Totiloz This was my other confusion. I reviewed that episode and noticed, Dexter looks at Travis right after Gellar's edit / clip and then gets interrupted by Travis saying - "There's Gellar!". Dexter does not spot Gellar and leaves the car only on Travis' word. I'd let this one go but the whore's dialogue was just too explicit.
@nizamm She said that Travis kept talking to someone and called him "professor". He was never really there
how can i watch the real tv series?
@nizamm She didn't say she witnessed two people, just that she thought there were 2 people there.
@vahnfish Yeah it sounded fine on headset. Skype sometimes simply blows.
@nizamm
sometimes people who are like Travis are really good at imitating other voices.
cool story bro xD
@nizamm Great point! She was blindfolded so maybe Travis was really good at voices? ha
@nizamm Maybe he was still alive at that point?
@Skitz0frenix 1 hour with these fine ladies would actually be awesome.
actually I reeeeeally wanted to see Dexter kill the professor... it would have been a much more powerful finale kill table conversation!!
I loved Dexter's kids and am sad that they were written out of the story.
Lol! I cant believe I don't see any comments that relate to what I think about this video.
@yesok5 Thanks! We don't mind the haters- that's what UA-cam is. You get views, you get haters. This is why we mostly marketed ourselves to places like Roku and itunes more. But. we can take it! No big deal. Thanks for being a fan!
Kat might be the hottest, most beautiful woman i have ever laid eyes on. every aspect of her is practically perfect. look at how attentively she listens.
Should of balanced the skype guy's audio. Other than that it was great.
Would you rather pay us directly to do these shows?
For his sake, I really hope he had vodka in that bottle.
who can help me, i really want to watch these tv series.
Why is everyone saying that they are annoying?I dont see anything wrong with them and they have a good chemistry ith each other...
Did you stop the show? i cant find anything about season 7 :-(
Maybe it is Dexter's younger brother.. ORRR it is Brian's son.
wat points to louis being dexters brother if there is something i missed the hell out of it and just because he looks like dexter doesnt really mean much and brian looked nothing like dexter, just saying
I like them even thought Dexter is stolen IP based off of me. I created Dexter to keep myself sane from fathers insane beatings.
@beachkrp ice truck killer has an undershirt on
@audrey93ify Not really, seeing as Gellar didn't do anything wrong.
@beachkrp he did for the really huge dude chino XD
absolutely, the whole Dexter and Deb thing totally makes me sick.
@Hanser68 Yeah well, we could all make countless assumptions. If the writers could've just laid it out properly, would've been so much better.
@NDSIser That's what I didn't like. That bit for me just affected the whole season. It all just ended up like a falsified 'I told you so'.
Lila ;)
@nizamm she was blindfold and she heard two people talking, i assume he was changing voices since he was a schizo
What will deb do now that she saw dex kILL!!!!!
Hopefully you will never be allowed to comment again.
@WHATPISSESMEOFF710
It is gross because, first of all, you are wrong, they were babies together, Debra was born after Dexter was adopted, and secondly, it is gross because they are SIBLINGS. As an adopted person, I find the implication that they're "just" adopted siblings, so it's not incest offensive. INCEST is INCEST.
@vahnfish Should of? Seriously?
Are the hosts trying to look like Rita and Lila on purpose? I fucking hope not.
@BertDraper i found this season really good...
My Ranking
Season 4 - Trinity
Season 6 - Travis
Season 1 - Ice Truck Killer
Season 2 - Lila
Season 5 - Jordan Chase
Season 3 - Miguel Prado - he is not a bad actor but the theme of the season is not fresh
@jimbob1234567 2,000+ views on a show over an hour long on youtube- we'll take it! :)
I stopped it in the first second
Or I can tell you the real story behind the creation of Dexter. email me if interested.
mmm mmm mm
Colin seems smug and standoffish in this interview (as much as I respect his acting talent); was he still in the character (Travis?), or was he dissing his interviewers who both acted like a bunch of prepubescent groupies with a childish idea of what 'comedic/funny' might be performance-wise. The pitch and pretentiousness of their vices is flat-out annoying, so maybe his attitude was to have them cool their jets (I'd assume).
He was MUCH BETTER in the movie "House Bunny." The sort of role he played in Dexter is a VERY POOR fit for him. He was unconvincing as a bad guy...
Colin Hanks is cool, but the last series stunk.
ur being polit by saying abit annoying
@crazedcomicgeek2 because the women are very, very annoying. they are ditzy and they're comments are boring. they weigh down the show and talk 4-5 times more than collin
Thanks for the upload, enjoyed that interview. Colin seemed to have really enjoyed the role of Travis.
