The test show inconclusive. DNA test do not show positive & negative that is what the judge was trying to get to.

Confronted with such a witness,I think the counsel should have asked the witness to state which part of the investigation did she take part in!I believe as an investigator you should be privy to every information relating to a case u are investigating.
She can't be saying she does not have any idea,whilst at the same time she identifies herself as part of the investigation.
She avoided the question even when it was posed that way. She kept on saying she has already testified in that regard...

I don't think she is stupid. She is just movimg amd trending slowly with her evidence. Since she was. not part of the other docket as an investigator. The defence identified her as perhaps a weakest link, and they are mixing up evidence from the old docket which is not part of this trial and the docket she was part of. So they just want her to say her own personal opinion and they use that as a weapon to. fight Gininda when he came to testify as a tool to discredit his evidence. You will remember Sgt Mohale was also on the doc. They never did the same to him aski g him about docket 375. Baloyi has called her to testify about chain of evidence of taking blood from the 2 suspects. They saw that as an opportunity to go back to the evidemce that was longtime presented at court all this Tumelo and Zandi has already testify regarding this evidence. So its like closing their mistakes and things they omitted to asked. So they are using her to dismantle the team. They habe been struggling since yesterday until Mngomezulu looses his cool yesterday after she didn't cracked her. She then say you cocked the case. Their examination is based on the docket she never investigated. but this guy Ramsepule is kindly smart as opposed to Mngo. He don't make reckless statements that will put Ntanzi in a corner when he is under cross examination. Once you say a statement you never able to retract. It will be part of cross examination. Accuse one will have to explain what it cover up and it will be difficult to explain to the court.

This witness is simply staying within her lane and that is fine. The defence lawyers are spending a lot of time cross examining the witness on the statements of other witnesses without linking that to her testmony and hence she must stay in her lane. She must stay away from entangling herself with other people's testmonies as much as possible.

I’ve never scene in any court where the judge is constantly or even visibly defensive towards the defense as if he has a side to choose. His school boy reactions affirming his excitement for Baloyi’s objections are not just unprofessional behavior but painful to watch. He looks like these primary school bully’s cheering on the side while the ring leader of the group harass the minors.

State is trying to bury the defense in tons of data, the defense is right to challenge this. Defense is running on low budget and has not paralegals or associates to go through that data.
I am Namibian and lived in SA when this happened and still going on. Atleast this is better. Case. Than Joslin that disappeared in CPT about 70days ago. Life is just not fair. It's sad. One disappeared because of mom's negligence. One died in the presence of a lover. Reminding me of OJ case. And for her to walk around and pretending like she don't know what happened.

The Judge is bullying Nxumalo the constant interruptions are noted and the snide remarks during his cross examination. I hope the DJP is watching and will address this. This case is already an embarrassment and to have a Judge add on with his misbehaving is too much. This case is being watched internationally and it’s embarrassing us all as Africans
And he is lying about the DNA results, that they were inconclusive. I wish that the defense will revisit the results by recalling the expert who did the tests so he can clarify this issue

The DNA guy excluded all these guys. The judge even asked some clarity questions and he was told they don't include these guys. He said they will show a bit because there is some relatedness between people, but these guys are not linked.
This is crucial evidence for the defense they cannot afford to be casual about it. Nxumalo seems not to be sure I think the whole defense should emphasize it on behalf of their clients. Otherwise this judge will continue saying it was inconclusive. If need be they can replay the audio or use transcript.
I was disturbed by the demeanour of Mr Nxumalo, he is so timid! He should have stood his ground. Even Ramosepele has been standing his ground today after the leadership of Mngo, I want to see if he, Sothondose, will get back to the point to force the court to acknowledge that the DNA took these guys out.
