Yes you’re right about the moving part. It took me a whole day to move it to another corner. My other update video shows this stock tank on the other corner of my house where I can feed the fishes from my window. Please check the video out if you have a chance. Thank you for your comment
would love to see how this was built from the beginning! Do I understand correctly that the bog filter fills up from the bottom and up to the spill tubes?? Is there a reason it doesnt fill from the top down? seems like it would filter better......ty!!
How did the liquid rubber hold up over time? Also anything you would do differently? Considering doing this with goldfish any pointers are greatly appreciated.
Esequiel Chavez the liquid rubber didn’t hold up. They started bubbling this year. But fish are still doing great. It is no longer at my house. It’s at a friend’s house now. I just saw it a week ago. I wouldn’t use the liquid rubber if i were to do it again. Other than that, it’s still going great.
Love your pond and video. I have a question. I made a pond using the stock tanks and followed the videos of the PondDigger. For several weeks, the water was nice and clear. Unfortunately we have had rain and high temps and now my water is very murky. Do you have any suggestions on how to clear the water? Thank you
Shirley Crawford yes! The pond digger is great! Use quilt batting (things they stuff pillows with) and either place it where the return is. You can put it in a basket or something...be creative
coolgeorgiaboy I wished I still have it. I moved it to a friend’s house. Sorry. I have an in ground pond now. Thank you for getting inspired. It is a great hobby. I saw it about a month ago and it’s doing great! But the coating has been peeling off, but it hasn’t seem to affect the fish at all. Still looks great
I’m wanting to build one for my wife for Mother’s Day. Is there a better way to contact you? I have some questions on what size holes to drill and size of pvc for the manifold. Thank you for sharing this video.
Yes. There’s bubbling now after a couple of years but did not affect anything. We use it for smaller fish as we upgraded to a large koi pond. Still so fun and regarding to have any outdoor fish set up. Gives me an excuse to be outside….cheers
I live in Austin. I have a horse tank that we want to do a pond for goldfish and lily pads. I think summer is fine, but worried about any hard freezes? I might have to keep fish indoors during winter?
Shea, Cleo & Graham Hi, here in Arlington it did great with a heater but electricity bill might be up a little. I only turned it on when it gets below 35 degrees or so. Other than that they do just fine. Just don’t feed them anything when the temperature is consistently below 50 degrees
Phu Nguyen I would just search. Anyone one of them are good. The plants are like weeds. They grow like crazy. She was in Houston TX but don’t really remember. Sorry
Actually, according to google, it is against the law to take Aquatic plants from a lake or pond ! I was thinking about getting some water hyacinth from the lake we live on , and put them in my indoor comet goldfish pond! I'm just nervous about doing it because I don't want to mess up my water parameters or harm my fish, turtle, snails and my aquatic pond plants....
This video and setup is what inspired me to do something very similar to my backyard, so thank you!
Best use of the galvanized steel drums for a pond that I’ve seen
Nice job and your bog garden should really do the trick for breaking down your fish wastes. Your kids should love this garden too.
Thank so much
I love the idea you created you did a GREAT job in the set up but to move it is
gonna be a MAJOR job but if you have help then it's not so bad.

You need to feed the fish still. They don't just eat whatever grows in the pond.

Ur pond is supeeer!!!! ❤️
Great work! Thanks for posting!
Great Video, nice job also, one recommendation just cosmetic if those pvc pipes were replaced with galvanized pipe, it would look uniformed

Beautiful job... maybe bales of hay would help insulate?
Very nice!

Kha Le thank you
Looks awesome!
Hi. Do you remember what the dimensions were for the larger tank? Nice setup.
I like it
I like it good job I’m doing something just like that
It’s really neat and relatively easy and inexpensive if you can find used water troughs in your area
Water hyacinth is illegal in Texas. $200 fine per plant last time I looked. I know it’s a great pond plant. Just a heads up.
What a great pond. I sure wish you would hold your phone sideways for video recording.
This perspective is absolutely terrible.
Would love an update video....I'm very inspired by you

Jerry Carlos what a sweet guy, lucky wife👍
It does look better.
Love this. Thank you. Did you paint the liquid pond directly on the metal?
