Zhou Shen's voice is pure, feather light and crystal clear.
I think what sets him apart from other male singers is that his high notes are not forced. It just comes naturally to him. When others hits those incredible high ranges we subconsciously know that it's a man singing but when Zhou Shen sings, if we didn't know that it was him singing, it could be easily mistaken for a soprano. When you listen to him sing you don't hear the "fakeness" that we'll hear when other male singers sing at a certain range.
I don't even need to explain his breath-y voice..... that is just as soft as a snow flake. His voice has that magical quality that the other singers seems to lack. There are thousands and thousands of amazing male singers with similar or extreme vocal range but not all of them have this pure and downright ethereal qualities of Zhou Shen.

Zhou Shen studied music and specialised Bel canto at Lviv National Musical Academy in Ukraine, so Ukrainian and Italian language is compulsory for him, He lived in Ukraine for 6 years so he speaks well in Russian, Polish and English, and he self learned Japanese, of course being Chinese he speaks Mandarin. The amazing thing is that he sings any language like a native. A very talented artist! Try listen to his Indian song "Zoobi Doobi", Japanese song "Unravel" it will blow you away

Guys, he is so gifted to sing any language like a native speaker. However, I don’t think he can speak all these languages in his daily life. For example, his Cantonese songs are so good, but he doesn’t speak Cantonese. I m watching his other Chinese programs other than singing in the US. He is a very funny guy, a big fan of him.

Zhou Shen can sing at least over 12 different languages which included Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Russian, Ukraine, Polish, Japanese, Hindi, French, Italian, Thai, Spanish etc........

Zhou Shen is using a singing technique "full mixed voice" similar to J J LIn. With the correct skillful usage of vocal cord, hardly need much effort in his natural high notes. Just imagine such a small-size chap can sing with so much power.
Zhou Shen has too much vocal skills in his pockets that I suppose you have, so far, only witness about 30 to 40% of what he is capable of.

His name can be pronounced as Zhoohh Shern. He does not speak English or Cantonese well at that time but he could sing them beautifully. But ZS will probably master them as he’s a very smart & determined young man. He speaks Ukrainian and Russian bcoz he studied in Ukraine and took his countertenor lessons with an excellent music professor at Lviv Conservatory of Music. He loves music since young to escape the loneliness & later, verbal bullying during middle school. They’re his refuge where he can enter a different world that makes him happy. His parents sent him to Ukraine to study dentistry but his 1st love is always music. After he switched major, he begged his favorite music professor there to take him on as his student but was refused several times. He never gave up and went again & again & again daily over 3 months. Finally his persistence & potential impressed the professor so much that he relented. Unfortunately that professor passed away a few years ago without telling ZS of his illness. Subsequently ZS flew there to pay his respects at his grave site. ZS was a shy & humble but has now morphed into a sharp-tongue, funny & still humble person, being more confident with time. He joined the Voice at age 21 but was eliminated by a female judge called NA Ying whom I greatly detest for her denigration of one prolific & excellent singer/composer who had composed >1500 songs, named Dao Lang aka Sharp Wolf, whose songs are wildly popular throughout China in the early 2000s. Daolang was the only singer whose single sold 270 million copies overnight in China without any agent or recording company . That female judge was insanely jealous and egoistic tho she has connections & influence. She thot ZS looked unappealing and has no charisma. Anyway, ZS is now 30 going in 31 but still looks like a high school kid. So glad he’s wildly successful. He’s constantly try to choose songs that are meaningful . He strives to be an inspiration to young people wherever he goes, and urges them to never ever give up their dreams, to persist and to believe in themselves. He also strives to be more creative and positive in whatever he does. He’s now given the recognition he truly deserves. I believe ZS has got a photographic ear and memory.

He is now the No. 1 artist in China where many shows want him to be in it. Producers want him to sing the theme songs for their movies or TV Series. He’s very respectful & polite to people he works with, no matter their standing. That’s why his fan base is HUGH. He is loved by people of all ages throughout China.
