I love how Lennox gets the respect now that was missing for long parts of his career
GOAT for me but I think most people have him in their top 5 Greatest now and all have him in their top 10.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV I also put him on top. Ali, Holmes, Foreman etc were not tested by East European boxers but Lennox beat them all including the best one (Vitaly).
You are so delulu Lennox would never beat prime Muhammed Ali. He wouldnt beat Usyck in this time. He wouldnt beat Jack Johnson in the old time and also not Rocky Marciano. And Joe Frazier would be a difficult one for him. He is not the greatest ever okay

If anyone wondering Usyk said patience is one thing he could learn from Lennox but Krassuuk couldnt translate it.
Nice one.
Appreciate that translation
Beyond wise
Patience, but meaning more like endure pain and wait, rather then just to be patient.
He always was bad translator, he always says like: "i dont even know how to translate that"
The legend lennox lewis. What a fighter, take a bow. This guy would run through this current heavyweight division. One of the goats
with one hand tied behind his back after a 48hours bender - thats for sure
Very easily at his peak no shadow
My favorite heavy weight caught him prime as a youngin #90sbaby
He would get stopped by AJ.
@@shay_3859tell me your dreaming
The great Lennox Lewis.. the last great Heavyweight. It was a pleasure to watch this man fight and see him use the sweet science for such a large dude. In such a risky division, where its do or die, Lennox Lewis with his appreciation for the sport, not the fight, prevailed. Best heavy weight I ever seen in my lifetime.

Couldn't agree more
Lennox was a fantastic boxer One of the best heavyweights
I always thought Lewis clearly had most high quality list of prime dangerous fighters in his recs of nearly any atg. Lewis is very underrated, would beat most greats.
He's a brilliant personality and a great boxer. But he is wrong about the Jab. Every cerebral fighter knows that biting the ears is the number 1 skill.
Much agreed
When Lennox tells you to jab...you fucking jab. He's my GOAT. Legend.
And he had the best jab probably of all time up there with Holmes legend 💪💪
You forgot the great one, Muhammed Ali. Also vitali klitscko
Unbelievable CV
Bruno vs Lewis was the fight of the jabs, horribly painful and effective jabs coming from both guys...
Kltischko owns lewis
The love and respect between these two guys is great. Usyk is such an approachable guy and genuinely fun loving, and Lewis is just a phenomenal person. Would love to shake the hands of both Champs.

Usyk would have been 16 when Lewis fought Tyson. Tyson must have been one of his boxing heroes.
Yeah, Tyson was 14 and cried when Holmes beat Ali, Usyk said he cried when Lewis beat Tyson. Tyson inspired Ngannou to be a boxer.
@@RepentingMan I don't think he would have been 16 then, because he's 37 today,( so born in 1987), then the Lewis/Tyson match happened after 2000?? to me it was in the late 90's.. but I don't remember well..
@@sebasdebordeaux8347 The Lewis-Tyson fight was in 2003, so Usyk was 16.
Had to rewind that bit where Usyk appears. Both his and Lewis's faces are priceless. We're seeing two proper boxing legends here.
Lennox has kept himself in fantastic shape since he retired and he is one of the greats of boxing and he is a really nice guy.
Lennox is a true British legend, he was seriously good, but underrated.
Top 🎉
Underrated by who? Most folks I’ve watched and listened to have Lennox as an all time great as do I. Who do you believe underrates him?
Allot of people may disagree. But for me he possibly the best heavy weight in history. Definitely top 5
its a hard task to choose all time number one, but Lewis is up there with the greats ie Ali/Clay Foreman Tyson Holyfield
@@dirtshultz
Good old nostalgia , I don’t remember at the time thinking he was the best ever , he was great in his period and a good solid fighter , but the real stand outs of all time are Ali and Mike Tyson that everyone remembers for a reason , maybe the difference was the charisma of the two I mentioned which was also standout .
Lennox Lewis THE LEGEND!!!
The lack of a jab is why Wilder is struggling now against other fighters. He is so reliant on his right hand that he just wants to go head hunting. Both Ali and Holmes had excellent jabs.
Huge Ali fan here but let’s be right about his jab : he had ONE jab with no variety . A fast flick to blind an opponent for the right cross mostly. No body jab at all / no ‘ ramrod’ jab etc etc. Larry Holmes / sonny liston etc etc jab wise he was not !!
@@serenityinside1Nonsense you never watched Ali. He had a very smart and one of the best jabs in history. He could throw swivel jab, flicker jab, and he varied the timing of the jab. He also threw the body jab often since Olympics 1960. Nonsense. You can watch Fayz Boxing breakdowns and see that’s not true. When he won gold he jabbed the body, one of the most prolific body jabbers.
I agree though I'd say it is just one reason why Wilder struggles. He took boxing up relatively late - around 18 iirc and if you start at that age you're not going to become a well-rounded fighter. Wilder has attributes and is a huge natural puncher, but he does so much wrong - he's too tight, bad footwork, shaky defence, poor combinations, lunges and - as you say, no jab. It is the most important punch in boxing. Without it it's tough to establish control of an opponent, for one.
In the 2nd Fury-Wilder fight, Wilder constantly jabbed to the stomach. It should have been a left hook to the ribs.
Legend, a sharp, hurtful jab! Awesome.
Lennox Lewis a true Warrior a Legend really i miss him.
I think we all do - imagine him now. He’d sweep this bunch of fools, and Usyk, away in 12 months!

What a great fighter Lewis was. Nothing but class.
As much as I like fury and usyk. Lennox is in a league of his own #GOAT
@Roblad86 That's some crafty comment there, positioning USYK on Fury's level when chances are USYK is levels above all the current crop of heavyweights; in this case, Fury! (Only) history will show where USYK ultimately places, among all the greats, as this era's history is still being written.
Usyk is a brilliant boxer for sure but I wouldn't say he is levels above Fury, I guess we'll find out soon enough. I's actually like to see an Usyk / Parker fight. Parker has a good jab, fast hands good footwork, good chin and does well against guys Usyk's size. @@rareearthelement8698

The Bunny Rabbit & the Giraffe! 😂😂😂
Love Lennox and great to see him looking and sounding so well. Got to love Usyk as well.
Great seeing Lennox Lewis in good spirits
"untranslatable" word was patience
This champ is very respectful 👍👍👍
I saw a few seconds of Usyk training somewhere. He is training right. He doesn't gain useless weight for this fight, as he needs speed and movability. Train speed and no wasted movements and no notice. He is remembering to move and train upper body movement with bigger range of motion and faster. He is relaxing more In his neck.. and including his head much better. But there only were a few seconds. Getting close to Tyson, pendulum movements and instead of a Mike Tyson's strength and hooks he will use speed and straight and short and fast punches. Precise like a snake. Tyson I haven't seen yet, but he will train equally efficiently. Both have weaknesses but will they see each others?
My favourite heavyweight of all time, had it all...skill,power and speed. He also very tactical, played chess and used that in the ring to break down appoints. He offered to train Joshua but Joshua declined and disrespected him.He would have taught Anythony so much what with his jab and uppercut.True legend and gentleman at the same time

@@marthinusbyleveld5012 That's easy to say after his first loss, Lewis has never demonstrated in any way that he would be a good coach. Not to mention that he's knocked AJ many times over the years. Lennox vs. Vitali would make a lot more sense. The Conqueror vs. Dr. Iron Fist was one of the great scraps of that decade, even though it ended in some controversy. "Look at the state of his face!" The only problem is Vitali is still so sore over that stoppage that there's no way he treats the fight as an exhibition.
Vitali is the major of Kiev, I don’t it’s the right time for a boxing exhibition
Donate his share of the proceeds of the exhibition to a Ukrainian relief effort. @@ROBERTORRRR1
Loving the WBC strap on Lennox’s wrist but can’t tell if a watch or bracelet. Legend for all time with only 2 pro losses and KTTFO on the rematch. Riddick Bowe would have fled the earth to avoid fighting him but instead through his belt in the trash rather than fight him for it
I've stood next to Lennox a few times when he used to come to our amateur club shows in Toronto, and I gotta tell you, he's huge. Seeing Usyk next to him, he's not as small as people say or think. He must be pretty big too.
6 3 usyk 6 6 lennox i think
@vincentvangogh8092 I'm 6'2 and standing next to Lenny, I would say he's a little closer to 6'7, so yeah pretty much. 6'3 is average for heavyweight i would say. Ali was 6'3, Foreman was 6'4. Heck, Tyson is only 5'10. I would say tall heavyweights are not that common.
Man you guys get all the great interviews
Lennox is a true legend that will go down in history for the victories he has accumulated in his carries.. A true sportsman.
Great fight was lewis and klitchco ..both of my favorite fighter
Dead right on the jab statement. Back in the day I was a massive david tua fan, and to be honest when they fought lewis jab alone basically won the fight for him. He really did have a world class technique, tua was a extremely dangerous fighter and that jab really made it a comfortable win for him.
Big Lennox, best HW of modern time .. only thing they showed me in boxing gym was the jab, everything starts with the jab and no right hand twice in a raw and how to move to counter, rest figure out your self..
Lewis. The best of British. What a boxer he was
The jab, then the hook and the uppercut. Basics 💁♂️
My favourite fighter of all time - a one-man wrecking ball in his prime, fighting in an era of killers (admittedly most of them on the gear), most of whom would run the heavyweight division today.

IM VERY FEEL
Steve Bunce is right about Lennox, there is something regal about Lewis. He hovers over the ground rather than walks. And when he finishes walking you half expect him to be seated on a throne somewhere.
It's really strange because he was not particularly loved in the UK when he was making his name. It took him a very very long time to get respect, but I'm not sure he ever felt the love.
But far more important than all that? Physically he looks great. Boxing is a unforgiving sport with a history of sending so many of its great fighters to an early grave. Lennox looks radiant.
“No disrespect, but USYK is like a bunny rabbit”😂😂😂…..given Fury’s taunts, that is very disrespectful Lennox😂
Nah, he meant it as descriptive of the type of movement Usyk will use. I get what he means and also describing Fury as a giraffe, again quite accurate when you think about it. Lewis is a class act, as is Usyk. If that was Fury appearing there's a 50% chance he comes off sensible and measured, but he could spiral off into talking nonsense and acting like an idiot at any point.
Lennox knows his artillery lol the jab, the jab
A class act in and out of the ring is our champion the Lion 🦁🇬🇧 Usyk seems a decent guy
Its crazy that these days a guy like Usyk is being considered as small heavyweight , yet he's almost the same size as Lennox.
The jab master. No one had a jab like lenox
Bivol uses the jab better than Lewis ever did. Lewis' jab was effective because of his huge reach-advantage over everyone else. Bivol's jab has to be more skillful because he has short arms. He uses timing, footwork, setting traps, and perfect technique to jab his opponents' faces in for 12-rounds.
Bivol is genuinely one of the best technical fighters of all time. So underrated. He schooled a better and stronger Canelo than the one Mayweather fought.
That's not strictly true. Lewis threw his jab in a pretty unusual way. He held his left hand close to his opponent's face and never brought it back to guard so the jab only travelled a short distance when he threw it. It was thus an extremely fast and accurate jab. Also, it wasn't telegraphed because it was thrown over a short distance and yet was still surprisingly powerful despite the lack of leverage. It was much more than a range finder jab.
Lewis of course used his height and reach advantages but he also leveraged them further with unusual technique.
@@Jimbo8012 and that jab was way stronger than Bivols jab.
