Some of the people who choose to live in their vehicles and have the financial resources required to buy the stuff they need to be OK are happy with their choice. Vanlife is still regular life, just in a vehicle. And I'm only saying this because people have sold their homes and jumped into vanlife really believing that's it's wonderful all the time. They were shocked to discover that it's challenging and takes awhile to get use too.
That's true. It's a world of difference if you are retired and have the means to travel, do whatever you want, and go on big adventures. I have enjoyed 2 years vanlife and can't even imagine being confined to a box with no wheels. 💙🦋🦋
@@livingmybestestlife Most of those people didn't take the time to fully research vanlife first, & jumped into it too quickly. Those who did all of the research & planning first, are fully enjoying it.
I will be 73 this summer and want to hit the road early 2024. Thank you so much for the inspiration! None of my family or close friends understand it and I don't care. Will be a Solo Female Senior playing golf visiting parks and enjoying the best time of life!

I love this van life philosophy. Trying to keep my van the same with only bringing what I need. The space inside the tiny van makes it feel more comfortable.

What a sweetheart Dani is! I love her enthusiasm. Her van set-up is so organized and cheery! Congrats on your journey. Thank you for sharing. Thank you Butterfly tracks!
I can't get used to hearing nomads say that they change into pajamas and put house slippers on each night. LOL, what a load of extra work, not to mention laundry. I just wear an outfit for 2 or 3 days straight. Unless I spill something on it or stink it up, I just wear it continuously. Oh, well. To each her own. ❤🎉😊 P.S. Now, there's a full body deodorant on the market. You don't even have to bathe for up to 72 hours. ( Gross, ha?) 😮
Thank you. Love her energy. I love that she uses the term “in a larger body” that those of us who want to end weight stigma often use and it would be great to see more of people of size, especially solo females of size van lifers. I have a lot of questions but maybe she has already answered them in some of her videos I hope to watch soon. Thank you.
What a great non-build build! Everything has its place, is multi- use, is comfy and practical. Lovely. I will go across to her channel eight now! God bless! ❤🙂👍🚙
Other than really insulating a cooler even more, put a brown paper bag inside on top and then a folded up towel on top of that. Throwing a heavy towel over the outside of it helps too. I always put ice inside ziplocks so everything inside doesn't get wet.
Thank you for your video. Very helpful for me just starting and having very little and very little money. Living on SS only. Lost apartment due to the building being sold.

Yes, everyone should go over & watch Dani’s channel from the beginning. And if for some reason you don’t like it just turn off the volume & let ‘em play while you read a book. Thanks Jan for interviewing Dani & her van.
I’ve been subscribed to Dani since she was on her one year travel. Love her and her setup. So wishing for her channel to grow and for her to find a remote job as I know that she longs to be on the road. Ps. You’ve known me as Patricia Wood who traveled with you in Maine. Just a google name change as I contemplate starting a channel on UA-cam.
Liked your comfortable and convenient setup. Must be real cozy. I day camp out of my mid-sized suv and cook out of the back of it. I only use my small butane stove inside a metal box with a door that swings up. It used to be a rolling toolbox. I figure if any kind of flame goes astray, it will be contained at least in something metal versus sitting out somewhere on a table with flammables nearby. And congrats on you wearing your car keyfob on your person! A lot of solo women in vanlife videos say to always keep it where you know it is in a place IN the van. The only problem with that is if have to make a quick getaway for whatever reason and they are on other side of their van where their key is not, now they have to get to the key and waste precious moments when they could have just hopped in the driver's seat and away they went! You got the right idea, though. Hope this comment registered to other van lifers so that it can help😊.

OMG she looks so much fun! I’d love to chatter away to her and listen to her around a camp fire. UK 61 female. Too frightened of driving to live this life. Lol😂
I was hoping she would show us the toilet set up. Also, how to get in the mini van without using knees and can't step up that high. If I use a step stool, then how to get the step stool in when I can't reach down and over very far. I was happy to hear the mattress is comfy.
Hey, Tooned. 1. The toilet was simple. Legs extend then you put a bag over the seat. 2. I usually leave the stool outside. At a Cracker Barrel or truck stop, I park next to those islands with a curb. I use the curb as a step. 🙂
So fun! I made my bed tall enough to fit 2 bins tall under. But i have to slouch. 2 weeks in my back was hurting a lot. I had to decide if bring more stuff was worth it.
Is this a GofundMe??😆😆😉😉. I love that maple bacon bourbon salad!!! I'm glad got to visit Quartzsite!! Maybe next year for me. I love your van set up!! So Simple. Keep smiling!! I hope we meet out on the road. 😎😎
Be careful about the wine ! It causes inflammation. Cranberry or tart cherry juice is good for it. Take care and I’m so sorry. I absolutely love your videos and lifestyle. Gods Speed ! You w be up and going soon.
I have a question for Dani. I have watched almost all of your videos and in several of them you mention your toilet but you never show it set up or say what kind it is. The reason I ask is because I too am a well-rounded woman and need a toilet system that works with my size. Please let me know what you use

Not able to watch this yet. But. I would like a van I can transport my power chair in. Budget is limited. I currently have a sienna with a Braun conversion and self locking device. I had a set back in health so I have not been able to load and unload my camping bins. I think if I had a bigger van I might be able to camp out and travel but, need help finding one. I am bedridden for the most part. Started camping out a couple of years ago. Have Lyme disease and mold illness so need. Lean air inside and out. Have mcs also and MCAS. I am living on the low end of social security. Not sure how to see messages someone might leave me.
