Gaming Geek, being someone who loves to paint miniatures but lives in a relatively small home, I dont know which I envy most; The amount of minis and terrain you have accumulated or the amount of storage space you must have to store them all lol. Cool video 👍.
The thing about 3D printing for me is that I just don't want to start **another** hobby to have my current hobby. I don't want to learn about and manage all the 3D printing stuff.... I think I'll stick to scratch-built foam-core terrain... :) It looks super good and really quite excellent. Thanks for the review.
I'm also not looking to purchase a printer but I am looking to purchase STL files and submit for 3d printing services. Willing to pay a bit just to have someone else worry about the mess.
@@em3sis Honestly I hope that GW just adjusts their prices down to be comparable to a 3D printing service :) They might have to in order to survive. For me, buying STL files, updating them even a little, finding a 3D printing service, sending all the files and payment and shipping, way too much extra work :)
Well, I have three printers running and it took about five days, so two weeks with one printer? One building takes about 12 hours at .2mm height and 10% infill.
Question, im thinking of getting a 3d printer and am looking at the prusa mini, and im just worried about the smaller bed size not being able to print this stuff, do you think it will be large enough to handle this terrain and the destroyed ship? also i always get a laugh at the GGG video :p
The Prusa Mini definitely can print the buildings (one at a time) since I did exactly that. The regular Prusa MK3S can print 2 at a time. The destroyed ship from the Spaceship Graveyard can also be printed on the mini since they come in pieces as well to clip together.
I have been so focused on printing and painting for Tale off Two Cities that I’m only just now catching up on this video. Great review and tutorial as always. I’ve just messaged Alex to see if I can do sort of late pledge. Have you played “This is Not a Test”? Similar to Necromunda in ethos, but a bit more open to options. This makes me want to go play both of them again.
As long as your build plate is large enough -- my QIDI Shadow 5.5S is too small to print a building without cutting in half. You can also print clips as long as you use a somewhat flexible resin when cured.
@@gaminggeek241 i have a Phrozen transform so build space hopefully will not be a problem it was more the clips im worried about , flexi resin ive not had much luck with sadly, but thanks :)
@@gaminggeek241 Thanks for the reply. I was curious - as some of the opens are pretty big. Love your video - would love the see the buildings in a more clean paint scheme as well (think infinity or core world star wars). thanks for the reply.
I've bought some of their scatter terrain before, but I don't like how there isn't a type of grid on the floor for sizes (Starfinder wants a 1inch grid)
Clearly inspired by kill team.... where are your Kill Team videos though?!? After the Age of Sigmar video you mentioned, I expected to see a review immediately :)
This is just great for 5 Parsecs from Home ^^
After seeing this video I had to back! Thanks for sharing!
This set looks fantastic. This month's GGG is going to be EPIC! I love the Gamingeek building!

Well, no matter how much storage you have, you always fill it up. That's why I do a lot of giveaways! 😂
Flatline City looks too good to pass up. Backed. Love the way your paint jobs look.
Just saw their kickstarter a couple days ago, and had to back - I’m adding this to the Dragon’s Rest collection to use as Starfinder terrain.
Another great painting Tutorial.
I have some trees to paint, time to dig up one of your older videos.
This looks great! I will get a printer some time soon. Appreciate the details in your videos.
Really love your reviews, you do a great job
Thanks, Tim! I appreciate it!
Great video. I could see using this for Core Space board game.

Another great video. How many hours would you guess you spent on printing?
Well, I have three printers running and it took about five days, so two weeks with one printer? One building takes about 12 hours at .2mm height and 10% infill.
Not bad at even 2 weeks for a tablefull of terrain.

What is the name of the Sisters' pink mecha/robot miniature? It looks very cool!
That's one of the Necromunda Luther Pattern Automata.

How long did it take you to print all of that?
looks great and for those without the FDM but a resin printer is it still printable and usable ? im not sure if the clip system would work with resin
Hi! They said in their KS page that you can print this in a resin printer. Next week I'm gonna try the free building to see how it works.

There is a flexible open Lock clip on thingiverse, it's simply hollow. You could try printing that in resin.
What (cura) printsettings do you use for this and all your other fdm printed stuff? Everything looks so good. Do you have it in a file to share?
I use PrusaSlicer and everything at stock settings using the .2mm height resolution.
is this scalable to 1:24
I see no reason why it couldn't be. The great thing about most STL files is that scaling isn't an issue.
Those are some pretty big windows - did they print fine with no supports?
Yes they did! There was a little bit of drooping but not very noticeable.

thanks for the video. anyone have dimensions for the buildings? it is hard to tell.... looks like about 4" x 8"

I very seldom see terrain with 1-inch grids incorporated into them, and could you just paint in the grid in some fashion to make it work?
