Yep you could use a solvent to extract these nutrients-from what I’ve learned, though, the alcohol itself does serve a specific function in delivering the nutrients to microbes and plants so that they are more readily absorbed.

You can replace vodka with other green solvents to extract non water soluble substances from herbs. Vodka is just not financial sustainable.
