I understand why Janis was mad at Cady for not going to the art show, but I feel her rant on her was undeserved. She essentially manipulated her into becoming plastic to mess up Regina.
She pushed Cady to keep pretending on being a Plastic to have someone inside the group, and make fun of the things they do or say. But Cady started to like it too much, thats on her. @cadengraysonawhitu8871 I think both of them were wrong. i LOVE the characters of Damian and Janis!! i know "mean girls" is only fictional, but I'd hang out with them ALL THE TIME, if I could. at least, WAY more than Regina and her friends. It'd be SOOO fun :D they remind me of some of the friends I had in middle/high school
i love this movie and i love janis bc her character is so interesting. it mirrors regina's in a really interesting way... i wanted to point out some bits in which she acts just as bad as regina. she's presented as an ally but is actually just using cady and her naivety to fight her battles. cady also calls her out on this later in the movie so it's not a complete secret it's just not always as blatant as it is with regina 0:49 "why would we get you into trouble? we're your friends!" this is a common manipulation tactic. rationalizing things that go against someone's better judgement by using your relationship status is manipulative and wrong. 2:00 "regina george is not sweet! she's a scum sucking roadwhore! she ruined my life!" this isn't necessarily manipulative but she is manipulating cady's view of regina from the get-go to get her to do something she doesn't really understand the implications of. again she's using cady's naivety to get back at regina 2:16 "look, this isn't about hating her, okay? i just think that it would be like a fun little experiment if you were to hang out with them and then tell us everything that they say." she's oversimplifying her personal objective to get cady to agree without suspicion. again this is manipulative imo 3:00 "there are two kinds of evil people in this world - those who do evil stuff and those who see evil stuff being done and don't try to stop it." while i personally think this is actually a pretty good quote to live by here she's using it to (again) manipulate cady by insinuating she will be "evil" if she doesn't do what janis wants her to do. again trying to hit at cady's weak points to get her to do her bidding 3:32 "come on! she's never gonna find out, it's just - it'll be like our little secret." again she's giving her fake reassurance without bothering to listen to cady's protests. i also want to take this opportunity to point out that janis rarely talks about anything other than scheming against regina when she's with cady. she's been using cady as a screw-regina pawn since day one and never actually cared about getting to know her (she also never cared enough to pronounce her name correctly) 3:49 "because she's a life ruiner. she ruins people's lives." here she's using cady feeling low and vulnerable to again fuel cady's hatred towards regina anyway, that's about it. i want to finish off by saying i don't actually think janis is worse than regina - she used cady's naivety to carry out her personal vendetta against regina, but outside of that i don't think she's bad in the way regina is. is she great? no, not really. is regina the absolute worst? not necessarily! they're both interesting characters that conflict and mirror each other in different ways. i'll say as to janis and cady i do hope that they became genuine close friends. despite all of the stuff janis did and the fact that their relationship mostly hinged on mutual hatred of regina, the painting janis made and the ending of the movie leads me to believe they might be able to forge a genuine friendship.
"Because I have a big LESBIAN crush on you!" 8:45 - 8:50 Am I the only one who thinks this is the most Iconic part of the movie, and probably one of my favourite scenes actually.

I'll be honest here, I honestly think Janis was a lesbian. She acts like how I used to act when I would go through my phases of being super in the closet and not wanting to believe I was a lesbian. & Just like with Janis, no one really fell for my straight act. Everyone thought I actually was a lesbian. Janis honestly still reminds me of me though. I'm still in the closet, but it's literally because I can't/don't feel safe coming out to everyone and being completely honest. The media and at times, every person may seem 100% accepting of the LGBT community but in reality, not everyone is. I'm sorta out online, but I'm still super careful about where I out myself and I'm out to some of the people I know. I'm also out to a small number of relatives. I'm pretty accepting of myself as a lesbian, but sometimes I still struggle with my sexuality. Janis reminds me of me, where I'm at right now in terms of my acceptance of my sexuality and my current struggles with being a lesbian and living in today's world. Janis is low-key one of my role models.

Everybody in this movie is mean, that's why its called mean girls
Me realizing the time period was so much short r than I thought and her character so much more manipulative than I remember
i LOVE the characters of Damian and Janis!! i know "mean girls" is only fictional, but I'd hang out with them ALL THE TIME, if I could. at least, WAY more than Regina and her friends. It'd be SOOO fun :D they remind me of some of the friends I had in middle/high school
but they are toxic?!
Janis=The ULTIMATE chess player!
Checkmate queen!👑
Regina thought she was queen but Janis "The Mean Girl Slayer" DETHRONED her
Bruh Regina would gossip behind your back. It wouldn't be that fun then.
Her lil wave to the "fuck you" signal. amazing
I never realized she calls her cady like the golf ⛳️ person 😆
Plotwist: Cady is lugging around her baggage doing her bidding.
And Regina calls her her name properly
she is an icon, she is a legend, and she is the moment. come on now.
i love this movie and i love janis bc her character is so interesting. it mirrors regina's in a really interesting way... i wanted to point out some bits in which she acts just as bad as regina. she's presented as an ally but is actually just using cady and her naivety to fight her battles. cady also calls her out on this later in the movie so it's not a complete secret it's just not always as blatant as it is with regina
0:49 "why would we get you into trouble? we're your friends!" this is a common manipulation tactic. rationalizing things that go against someone's better judgement by using your relationship status is manipulative and wrong.
2:00 "regina george is not sweet! she's a scum sucking roadwhore! she ruined my life!" this isn't necessarily manipulative but she is manipulating cady's view of regina from the get-go to get her to do something she doesn't really understand the implications of. again she's using cady's naivety to get back at regina
2:16 "look, this isn't about hating her, okay? i just think that it would be like a fun little experiment if you were to hang out with them and then tell us everything that they say." she's oversimplifying her personal objective to get cady to agree without suspicion. again this is manipulative imo
3:00 "there are two kinds of evil people in this world - those who do evil stuff and those who see evil stuff being done and don't try to stop it." while i personally think this is actually a pretty good quote to live by here she's using it to (again) manipulate cady by insinuating she will be "evil" if she doesn't do what janis wants her to do. again trying to hit at cady's weak points to get her to do her bidding
3:32 "come on! she's never gonna find out, it's just - it'll be like our little secret." again she's giving her fake reassurance without bothering to listen to cady's protests. i also want to take this opportunity to point out that janis rarely talks about anything other than scheming against regina when she's with cady. she's been using cady as a screw-regina pawn since day one and never actually cared about getting to know her (she also never cared enough to pronounce her name correctly)
3:49 "because she's a life ruiner. she ruins people's lives." here she's using cady feeling low and vulnerable to again fuel cady's hatred towards regina
anyway, that's about it. i want to finish off by saying i don't actually think janis is worse than regina - she used cady's naivety to carry out her personal vendetta against regina, but outside of that i don't think she's bad in the way regina is. is she great? no, not really. is regina the absolute worst? not necessarily! they're both interesting characters that conflict and mirror each other in different ways. i'll say as to janis and cady i do hope that they became genuine close friends. despite all of the stuff janis did and the fact that their relationship mostly hinged on mutual hatred of regina, the painting janis made and the ending of the movie leads me to believe they might be able to forge a genuine friendship.
"Your mom's chest hair" ICONIC
Love that apology she gives to Regina at the confession session😂😂!!!
"Because I have a big LESBIAN crush on you!"
8:45 - 8:50
Am I the only one who thinks this is the most Iconic part of the movie, and probably one of my favourite scenes actually.
I also love that random girl who said, "I just have a lot of feelings!"
Lol
Where'd she come from?!
She doesn’t even go here!
I love the theory that Janis used to be the Queen Bee and Regina did to her what she manipulates Cady into doing to Regina.
That would also explain why Damien says “does it bother you that they still use your choreography” in regards to the talent show
Something I’ve noticed is that the only time Janis pronounces Cady’s name correctly throughout the entire movie is when she’s mad at her
Girls friends in a bit use it for a new one 😀 for your time for your birthday present 💐💐 you could you o y 💝 e u u are a young lady y your mom your uu y you could you y y io 🙏 me when I'm done 💯 my life ❤️ hours ago but 😔 is going y 😂 e your mom yes the kids have a good y 😂 uu you are the only way to the store in your time is ui in the office if they don't get u a new 😞🤔 I think 💭💘 is going
"Nice wig, Janice" is a nice foreshadowing. It means Regina wasn't making up the fact that she was bald
Wait, what!? She is!?
I believe she was when she started high school after Regina ruined her life, by this time her hair had grown back
I thought she shaved it off
What the f?!
when you have a drastic cut sometimes people just say you cut all your hair off even if you aren't actually bald
janis is so cool and pretty!
What i love about this movie is their voices.
Janis is low-key one of my role models.
agreed -another lesbian
just like me frfr
Did you also date a handsome Asian dude? Because Janis did
She doesn't seem lesbian to me ,there is many girls like her that are straight
You should just came out the closet completely.. its ok to be different.
Love her character so much 💖 So interesting to see her be like Regina but wanting to destroy her at the same time
Janis could be in the craft, she would fit so well with the mcs
Omgggg Yessssss 💯💯😍😍
Janis is like the non popular mean girl
Having one of those days where I FELT every single word of Janis telling off Cady through the sunroof 🔥🔥🔥
Good girl Friends are not going your mom your dad has your own way your sister 🙏🙏 is you could it really be in even more than a month for me too lol I know 😉 will be happy 😊 with her 😂 e a few weeks so far it was the best for the first 😴 years ago 😔 re turwwiuw it is going 😀 for the ty guys I was o your y you o yu that ww years days off
Janis wasn’t a good person 😂 She was just as mean as the other girls
No she wasn't.
Yeahh
All Of them were mean girls
At least she’s funny tho lol
@sunshine-zz7rb nah bud , Janice is also mean , she used Cady and manipulated tf out of her , she admits this herself " at least me and regina know we're mean" but at the end she got better She became friends with Cady, the whole point of the movid is every girl is mean , there are just degrees how mean they are and later in the movie they improve
Damien is the most underrated character.
People thought she was Lesbian cause shes Lebanese.
It's all coming together lmao
I thought she was American

janis was my favorite character i kinda had a crush on her when i was in the 6th. gr. best character in the entire movie
Bro this movie is permanently saved in my brain files🥺💚
Rachel McAdams is fast becoming Hollywood Royalty! 👑
She’s absolutely beautiful too!
this vid isn't about her
@@uncreativename6210 And….. Yet she’s in it anyway!
@@coffeecrimegal5968maybe because she is the main character?😅
@@Iwastoolatetochangemyhandle
Umm No. Lindsey Lohan was the “main character” in this film.
@@coffeecrimegal5968 that’s who I was talking about, what I was trying to say is “ofc Lindsay Lohan is going to be in here, because she is the main character”
Janis playing the victim very well...she using Cady as a tool for revenge and blame on Cady being plastic??!
Not really... She wanted to get revenge as well
Janis was bullied for years cuz of Regina and didn't know why! Everything she did is justified!
@@elydaveigh184 ya That's why be "friend" with Cady
@@Victori.A1 come on thats not the reason of using other people for your revenge
@@leoxxxx9276 lol I meant Cady
Iconic Janis.
*Does that mean I'm morally obligated to burn that lady's outfit?*
I die every single time
She was my favorite character in the movie 😂
“What’s it say about me?” “You’re not in it”. “Those Bitches “ lmfao
Janis is one of my favorite characters from a movie she’s a total mood
Janis is a mean girl the meanest the most cunning and the true villain of the movie
Yeah, because she was very judgemental to the Plastics by telling Regina is a whore, Gretchen is a gossip girl and Karen is a stupid. Bruh
janis is the TRUE villain of the movie... lmao all the drama started because she wanted her 8th grade revenge
Reagan having an emo phase makes all the sense in the world to me!
She's not lesbian, she's Lebanese! This is all because of Regina's small misunderstanding during middle school !
The fact that it was so on beat is actually just so cool!!❤
Right away, janis calls her "Catty." It's taken me too long to understand that.
Or "caddie", because she does all of her work for her
she‘s such an amazing actress really
I loved this movie but it gave you the wrong impression of high school lol. I was about to go to high school when this movie came out. Some things are a true but most of it is dramatized for movies. Awww the memories.
Janis face when Kevin said he wants to see her shaking on the stage 😂❤
Janis was a literal queen like Damien
Love Janis!❤ the only one who wanted to stop the school bullies!🙌🏾
The plastic look looked horrible on Lindsay yet after this she went out and made herself look plastic irl ... so sad. She looked so nice when she was natural
5:41 This is my fav Janis look. Fell in love with Lizzy Caplan because of this movie but especially this scene. True story.
This might be a *REALLY* Hot take but she's my fave from the Movie lol.
She slays
Anybody else appreciate how smooth the dude was at the end there? Literally slide right in to make a move.
Janice never really got a comeuppance for what she did. I do get why she wanted revenge, and I dislike that people overlook that Regina was a huge bully to her and others. But she never admitted to how she really did use Cady?
She confesses though. Cady knew the entire time and goes along with it, enjoying every moment. And they were still friends at the end. So if anything, Cady knew and Janice doesn't have to admit anything really.
Is Regina a bully? Why didn't Janice face her? 😅
One of those rare movies you'll still watch with rapt attention even after 56716 times
First there was Heathers, then Clueless and finally; Mean Girls. Iconic generational films.
Dazed and Confused, Superbad, etc. are all great too but I would consider them a different genre.
Adore her and Lizzy for playing the role
Damian is the friend I need in my life even though it may be just fiction
I swear she is my fav character
Reagan ridley brought me here also I get the feeling that's whut she's inspired of cause of her personality and her hair style
2:35 I didn't even realize it was them 😂 🤦🤦
