The solders are complicated because of the residual resin which interferes with the heating of the original solder and the addition of tin. To close I filled with a two-component resin for electrical junction boxes. Then I placed a large metal washer and metal tape.
Thanks! Fixed VW Crafter original D5WS with this method. Grinded hole with carbide burr as it seemed much safer way to me. I had intermid working blower. Tought first that it was blower motor as bearings were totally worn out from it, but new blower did not help even it definetly needed to be changed also.
You're working on a remanufactured Eberspacher D4WSC controller where a capacitor has leaked, and its acid shorted the board. One node seems burnt but might still be repairable. You're asking if anyone has a schematic or at least a good photo of the board for reference.
Hello, do you know anything about error 71 and 17? I can see that it is related to the temperature sensor, i tried measuring the resistance on the sensor and that reads okay. I tried shorting the wires to the sensor like the manual says to do, but that didnt change anything either. I originaly had the error 31 and used you video to fix it, but now i get the error 71 and 17. I read in the manual that to test the controller for the heater i would need the diagnostic tool you use in this video but i dont have access to one. I hope you have an idea for a solution.
If you want to drill a hole without a center because it's dangerous. First dril a hole In a bit of wood with the centers en then glue or clamb that hole on your work and make a stop on the holesaw
Yeah with the center bit you can drill through the circuit very easily. Your method works too but the safest option is to use drill press and the holesaw without a center bit.
Thanks for sharing this. I had error code CPM-1001 Combustion fan. Signal too high" on my 2010 Volvo V50 which has CAN-controlled Eber D5WS. I also had bad soldering on my PCB but it didn't fix the problem and replaced the old fan. My problem got fixed when I detached the PCB from case and isolated the PCB with some electrical tape and not attaching the PCB screws. Then the grounding comes only via wire. Hope this info helps someone else.
What do you mean by you detached pcd from case and isolated pcb with tape? What pcb are you talking about? Is not the d5ws pcb glued in? I have volvo v50 with d5ws, I cleaned it and replaced seals but now the burner won't work I am getter blower motor fan signal too high error.
@@bajalal8977There's only one pcb in the eber d5ws. It is not glued in, but there's that annoying gel. There are two screws before the pcb can be removed. The pcb is grounded via these two screws, leave them out and put some electrical tape there instead.
@rikuhellevaara4369 How did you take out the pcb from its housing? Mine is stuck in housing, I have removed the gel from upperside. Plus I bought a eberspächer d5ws for ford focus 2011, it has 6 cables coming in to the connector and mine in my volvo v50 has 5 cables comming to connector. I have tried to connect it to my car and in vida it says cpm signal missing. Do you know if it could be possible to make ford focus heater work with my v50?
@@bajalal8977 I put the housing where the pcb sits in to a vise (like in the video) and I used a screw clamp to put pressure directly to the pcb backside through the drilled hole (which was in the video). While screwing the clamp tighter I had to use a heatgun to soften the gel before I eventually got the PCB loose. But remember to remove those two pcb holding screws beforehand! I don't think it is an easy job to get your Ford heater to work on the Volvo. Many parts are the same, but probably the "language" spoken by the eber is not the same from the Ford one and that's why you see in VIDA that cpm signal is missing. You can probably use the rest of the heater, but not the brains (PCB). Good luck!

Bună din păcate nu ma ocup de servisare, modelul dvs pornește când temperatura antigel ului este sub 5 grade dacă bine rețin și funcționează doar odată cu motorul. Dacă îmi spuneți localitatea eventual va pot recomanda un service în zona.
@@DIYHelper Sunt din Hunedoara. Masina o am de 3 ani si sirocoul nu a pornit indiferent de temperatura de afara. Am masurat tensiunile pe mufa si ar avea toate condițiile sa pornească. +12v permanent, +12v cand pornește motorul si +12v cand apăs butonul pwr heat. L-am desfăcut, e f curat, funingine aproape deloc pe evacuare. Ce ma sfătuiți sa fac? Stima
Bună ziua. Am o problemă cu aertronic S3 după oprire ventilatorul continuă să funcționeze la o turație mica . Spune ca trebuie montat un al doilea termostat . Am si diagnoza originală eberspächer. Cum ar trebui sa procedez. Clientul vine în 2 săptămâni este montat pe o caravana încă nu am avut acest tip de problema . Mulțumesc mult
Chair dacă aveți easyscan nu veți putea lega un senzor exterior. Trebuie modificat un parametru în configurația încălzitorului pentru a funcționa cu senzor exterior la care nu veți avea acces. Trebuie sa luați legătura cu reprezentanta

Destul de dificil, trebuie pompa de apa, controller etc. Am nevoie de codul de pe încălzitor cel 25xxxx sa vad care generație e de pe sharan

What type of sealant do you recomand to seal the hole?
Well it should be able to resist at least to 90 degrees

Dacă aveți Easystart Pro trebuie setat sa funcționeze după senzorul din elementul de comandă.

Se poate încerca foarte scurt la 12V dar el funcționează la tensiunea scrisa.
