This was so helpful!!! I'm teaching 1st grade for the first time after 20-plus years of being in the upper grades. This is another excellent tool to put in my toolbox!!! Thank you so much!

The sound for the letter R isn’t “er” it’s “r” - I’ll post a video soon on proper pronunciation of the letters asap. I said it wrong in the video. 🙈

I know teaching has changed since I was a little girl. I'm a baby boomer. But I believe in the old fashion way with flash cards. Flash cards are good for stroke patients and any one with a disability. We we're taught the vowels. And the difference sounds of each letters. I know I don't have a degree. My son is autistic and that's why I can't find flash cards in Barnes and Noble. Because the way teaching has changed.

Its kind of to complex . I think its confusing . The human brain learns without to much emphasis on sound and english no where next to a phonetic language. Simple things we have made complex and people try to ape and teach . I feel one should use methods that are suited best to ones region. half the time in many countries eg in India teachers have no clue of what your video talks about schools try to copy and the child after kindergarten is confused between alphabets and sounds .I really dont know if imake any sense however i have no intetions to ofend you.

Is it an accent thing where you have the sounds /f/ /r/ /u/ /m/ for from? Where I'm from its definitely /f/ /r/ /o/ /m/ or as they age /fr/ /om/.
