Thanks for watching!
Make sure to comment below to let us know what you thought of this Sarde (after dinner)
Karim Daher and others who are of a similar caliber need public podiums where they speak and others listen. Calm, collected, well versed and truthful the whole time. It's people like him who can guide future generations out of the hell hole we're living in.
One of the best episodes on Sarde. Looking forward to similar episodes in the future!
This is by far my favorite episode of Sarde to date. The Lebanese people should haunt down their representatives at restaurants, bars, cafes, golf clubs -- even at their own houses -- and force them to vote on anti-corruption laws. Every Lebanese citizen has a responsibility to take action. Lots of free time these days. Please take action and put pressure on lawmakers.
As a footnote, at 16:00
It's important to emphasize that R. Hariri was not a visionary who executed policies with good intentions and made choices that later turned out to be miscalculated, but rather R. Hariri opened the door to unprecedented levels of corruption and embezzlement and made a good living out of it. Lebanon's state officials, warlords, and banks profited off of it too. KILLON YA3NE KILLON.
Wow speechless! I just couldn't stop watching! Soo interesting! Giving us hope in a better future for Lebanon!
Hope is very cheap
Unbelievable.....EXCELLENT interview....again thank you for the subtitles. Both of you ROCK! This video put so much in perspective. I'm recommending everyone I know to watch it and truly understand the colossal issues Lebanon is facing.
Keep the good work . Lebanon needs more honest people like you .
Sarde just keeps on getting better and better! Kudos to Mouin and Medea. I love the fact that you are introducing me to new ideas and incredible people like Karim and others that have passed. Keep on going and long live the thawra!
Wow. I like how he summarized what happened since the 50s in an easy way to digest. So easy to follow!
This episode should be called Mou7adara instead of Sarde. It's an amazing episode nonetheless.
Master Class 😂
I honestly guys can't thank you know for this episode. Mr Karim is amazing I could listen to talking for days and days. It is a shame that someone like him is not a minister of even Lebanon Prime Minister. Lebanon is full of great minds and people not those thugs in power now! Stay strong Lebanon. Medea Mouin so much love to you guys. Your fan from Bahrain.
I would take all this guy's courses!! I wish my profs were this eloquent and simplified things like he does :(
He's a great professor(from experience) but he's also extremely harsh
@@SamerAN1985 haha in terms of grades?
How is this not shared a million times in all of lebanon? Can you do a part 2 with him discussing a master plan for the short & medium term? I'd pay for this course
I watched all the sardet that you made from the first day til now, and what i personally think is that you should find more of these people who know what they are talking about and what to do, and try to guide all the clueless people through these master classes... Mouin and Medea keep up the great job of doing these videos... I salute you from the UAE
this is my first time listening to your podcast. You guys deserve MUCH more views.
Very nice
@@dimitrilaffy2195 hello there friend
After all what we have been through for the past 40 years or more, I lost trust and has been disgusted with all our politicians . This by far the most comprehensive, true and accurate chronology of events that led to this disaster. I usually don't watch more 5 minutes of any interview, but this time , I was very interested in listening to this episode to the end! Your guest is genius in painting the whole picture......

This would be the dream!
@@christianwkm ziad is genius in music but not in interviews.
@@jesusistheonlysavior3312 It doesn't help that he's also a sell out.

Karim Daher, thank you for clearly articulating your insights and working tirelessly to educate others and realize your vision of a better Lebanon.
Thank you for having such a character as your guest in this episode. Literally amazinggg👌 i wish i was one of his law students.
The only thing that's keeping me sane during this pandemic is your channel. Learning a lot from great personalities while staying at home!
Really the best explanation ever heard over our situation. Great speaker making it accessible to anyone. God bless you Mr Daher
I recenty discovered Sarde by luck, so I am catching it up backward... and woow.. after having been impressed by Charles Hayek or learning the unknown to the public about Ibrahim Maalouf's life details, I just discovered this amazing resistant law maker, Mr Karim Daher -sorry for my ignorance since I run away from Lebanon in 1985, for similar reasons to what is happening right now- but Lebanon always catch you back! Happy to see great guys who are still beleiving and still fighting. Will do all my best to vote abroad for those alternatives ! -although I don't trust the existing voting -
My favorite episode so far! Thank you Karim we couldn't have heard the truth in a better way... Mouin and Medea keep up guys!
Extremely insightful interview, Prof. Daher chapeau !
Wow im impressed! Keep it up guys
This guy is a reality genius. 100% right. Will we learn and change our ways? 🤔
Thank you for exposing the truth. We need to share this show widely among family members and friends. Let’s help support, protect and defend Ms. Marie Claude Najm. She’s a true hero and a rare breed in Lebanese politics. She’s a woman and criticism against her is also sexist. We need more women in government to fight the corruption. Ms. Najm and Dr. Inaya Ezzeddine are doing amazing work.
Top quality guest, thank you
Maitre karim lebanon needs you merciiii
Very informative podcast! Thank you for this
I am kind of hopeful again after this episode and this proved to me that are our movements on the street need guidance and shouldn't be random again.
We need a roadmap, unity and we need people with knowledge to let us know where exactly we should tackle the ruling class, we need more people with knowledge of the details and the technaicalities like Karim Daher.
Super informative, provided us with a clever summary on the events leading to the crisis as well what to expect in the near future. Thank you
Fantastic constructive academic and very informative debate 🙏🇱🇧❤️
Good job guys your greatest episode yet. Mr Daher thank you. Finally someone spoke about subsidised loans! Although I disagree that the U.S. won't use the sanctions as a political card. I mean they do protect Riad Salamé so let's keep them off the anti corruption pedestal
Wooooow my head hurts (in a positive way).
And guys am extremely thankful for that effort of yours, I mean, after all, you can never fix a problem without acknowledging it and identifying its roots.
Thank you very much that was really informative, borderline educational.
Keep on the good work
Very interesting topics! Learned a lot.
its good this guy is on our side.
@sardeafterdinner what an episode! I’m from Egypt and I do appreciate your work so much, I hope u guys all the best, keep up the amazing work 👊🏾
Always enriching to listen to Karim Daher. Like the format of your show guys. You're both light and natural. Ple a se fix the subtitle related to "thawrit eddwalib" min 10:38 translated to "cedar revolution". Whomever worked on that mixed up that of 1992 with 2005, both against Omar Karami.
Amazing 👏👏👏 much needed nowadays
Great episode, literally wow !!!!
Excellent interview!
I like the cosy interview setting
Great one!!
Great episode as always! Melhem Khalaf would be interesting to have on 🙌🏽
Wow. What a teacher.
Great as usual Karim 👌
Awesome work! You should make an episode with Fawaz Traboulsi
The best episode
Wonderful episode. Hope one day you can have Ghassan Sarkis.
merci beaucoup
Brilliant!!!!!
FYI Karim is talking about my older brother who is a judge assigned where no one wants to be in Baalbak, Deir El Ahmar and Hermel as a single Judge it’s been more than 5 years, although he lives in Beirut. That’s the price of not abiding to corruption.
Please invite Ms. Marie Claude Najm and Dr. Inaya Ezzedine to Sarde.
51:55 | Karim Daher’s Illicit Enrichment Draft
58:53 | How to pressure politicians
can we get these 7 mins cut from the videos so we can share them on social media for people who don't know about the channel or about this law?
Releasing a few segments tomorrow!
One of the characters in Film ameriki tawil was saying: lezim y7atto 3al a5bar 2abl ma sar, so here it's the same concept. Crisis and total collapse was inevitable but that time no one talked about it, however now all the experts trying to explain things that already are in place) nevertheless interesting interview
RESPECT
Please get Dr. Shafik Al Masri ☺️
Good content and thank you for not smoking :)). Keep up with guests of similar caliber. Thank you

The solution is in the hands (or feet) of major outside puppeteers.
Scared not sacred btw in your captions
The 'Golden Age' was a golden age for some people but for many people including the shiites it was a very ugly time. At least that is what I've heard.
the general media tried and still tries to push this idea forward with the (haraket el mahroumin story) to avoid major conflicts, usually the general media tries to entice fear out of a just cause, and that justifies the causes of the civil unrest back then, its like a loop that feeds itself. a lot of these stories have shaped our social identity now, and usually with false fairy tales.
if living conditions in the 50's was better for everyone back then, then there would be no "mahroumin" back then, we are the mahroumin, ur casual lebanese who's not affiliated with any of the currently dominant political parties or the 6 political figures.
Mesh mazbout hal 7ake, lyom hezbollah & amal are in power and the same people are still poor.. Let's talk lebanese instead of religion
Sarde after Captagon 💛😂

There's simply no way forward, there's nothing. Lebanon is done with
