Other people do not advise an all image email as it can impact deliverability. They suggest still adding at least 20% native text to balance the images. What do you think about this?
All image emails don't negatively impact my deliverability. Make sure you segment, use plain-text emails, and set up your DNS records - you'll be fine.
I'm assuming you have one button on the left of your email and another one on the right. In that case, you can: 1. create 2 columns in Klaviyo 2. slice your left button and right button separately in Figma 3. download both slices 4. drop each image slice in the relevant column in Klaviyo 5. add your links
Hi. I am a newbie in email designing. Was just wondering since some of the tutorial I have seen mostly online suggest to embed the texts in klaviyo, instead of creating it within the image. I am quite not sure which one to consider when designing emails- like, what happens if we incorporate the text in the image, or if we don't. I would love to delve in email design so I can samples up in my portfolio and, hopefully, get to offer email design services in the future. Love your videos btw! Big help to us beginners.
People like to embed klaviyo text for their deliverability. In theory, with live text: inbox providers can read the content of the emails, so it's less likely to end up in spam. (your email is also objectively lighter, so faster load time) In practice: if you have healthy open rates, you don't need to make the tradeoff (in my experience).
wouldnt it be way more optimal to export the email as HTML instead of images? What if someones email doesn't load images from unknown senders or the person is on slow wifi? Then the images won't load. How do you solve these issues with your method?
If you're not sure, split test it. I did, and emails don't perform better when they're coded. The HTML versions are just harder to edit and split test. Full HTML has the same upside, just more downside.
Hello, is there anyway to add padding to background image? i'm wanting to align the section im adding text to with the image above and below. Because I have padding on the images so that they don't take up the full width of the template and there is a white background down either side. Hope this makes sense. In reference to the part of the video around 4:00. Thank you.
Actually, my apologies please ignore the above. I tried putting in a background colour as you did, but what has happened on mobile in dark mode is that the image i put in is obstructing the text, seems to be on top of the text and you can barely see the text beneath the image? Is the text supposed to just show up on top of your background image normally? thank you
Yes, the text shows up on top of the background image. Try sending yourself the email to see if it's just a preview bug in Klaviyo. If it's not, you might want to import this text as an image slice from Figma.
I've seen some of your reply's to comments about all images affecting deliverability, and you say it'll be fine as long as you use plain-text emails. What do you mean by using plain-text emails? Do you mean alt text?
By "plain-text emails", I mean emails that look like they come from a person (not a brand). No design required. The email would look like this: "Hey Mr. subscriber, {{insert your pitch here}} Thanks, The team at {{Your brand}}"
For Hubspot, I generally use Zapier to get the contacts in Active Campaign and then I use Figma to build the emails. I don't know about building everything directly in Hubspot. Email me (christophe@retainwithemails.com) if you need more help
Hi, I'm glad you found the video valuable! I can run your campaigns, yes. (We don't start any new project in November, though - make sure you get in touch earlier, and you'll be fine 👍) You can email me here: Christophe@retainwithemails.com
5 five questions and every time I looked it up in YT this guy had a video explaining exactly what I was looking for. Earned a sub right away
Hahaha - glad it's helpful, man 🥂
You’re a miracle worker thank you so much bro
Haha, of course 🥂
Nice video
Thanks 🥂

Great video!
I appreciate it - thanks 🤝
Bro your videos are legendary. One question, how do you create a button in Figma that works in Klayvio? Is that possible?
Thanks, man - just download a picture of the button, import it in klaviyo, and add your link to the image.
God bless you brother@@Chris.Retention
@@freedomdojo9413 God bless you, too 📈
Thank you! Very useful! We need to resize an email cause the lower the weight of the email the better deliverability?
You're welcome! Yes: better deliverability, faster load times, etc. Many benefits.
What if I have a section that contains more than one link, how can I do that?
I'm assuming you have one button on the left of your email and another one on the right.

Hi there! Thanks in advance for your tuts!
I have a question. We can use Klaviyo for free or is there any subscription plan that we have to pay first?
Hey - they have a free plan, you have access to 99% of the features with it 📈
