This is METALHEAD POLITICS, a podcast about music, politics, and Taiwan - hosted by Freddy Lim of Chthonic and Emily Y. Wu of Ghost Island Media.🎙
It’s been tough for Chthonic to get back on their world tours since frontman Freddy got elected to the Taiwanese parliament four years ago. But look, no one’s going anywhere now anyways #stayathome - so here we are. 🤘
This is a highlight reel for the third episode, “Transitional Justice / Taste the Black Tears”. Check out links below to hear the full episode in all its glory. Search for METALHEAD POLITICS in all your podcasting apps, or via the links below:

What an amazing, talented band. I live on the east coast of the US. I discovered Cthonic in 2014 by picking there name off a Wikipedia list of black metal bands. Besides there Metal they’re videos are awesome. A really unique, well crafted presentation all around. Bu-Tik is such a great record.
I neglected to mention how amazing and emotional they’re acoustic songs are.
I find correct that in composing music do not try to convey a pre-established message, but that you have chosen instead of leaving emotions, which are then connected to events, and these events and the way you look at them are connected to values. So to me / we listeners and fans comes the meaning of these values, but without a "lecture".
