Amazing work you have done. Very creative. Unfortunately I came across this video only now. Great job.
this is beautiful. I've been looking for a temple for a long time. but they are very expensive. and bringing it from India is immensely impossible because of its cost. I'm afraid of trying to make one but you've given me a great idea.
Thank you 😊
Beautiful and detailed video. Thank you
this seems like an ideal cabinet to convert to puja mandir. what is name for this type of cabinet and can they be purchased used/new elsewhere
You can buy used TV armoire cabinet from Craigslist or from FB marketplace

That's amazing...wish you were in UK
Savitha: in regard to the yellow spots showing through the white paint - it is called a bleed through. It occurs due to tannins in the wood coming through. So what you have to do is first apply stain blocking primer (I use Zinsser or General Finishes). You can also use shellac spray. I use two coats to make sure there is no bleed through. After this you can use any colour paint, even white. If you see yellow spots, just adding more paint is not going to fix it. You have to use a stain block first. I hope this helps you. Good luck and I wish you a Happy Deepavali
Thanks for the information 👍
Beautiful...Luved your hard work.
This is just so beautiful, you are a true artist. I started following your channel after seeing your post on desis in bay area group, I am so glad I did!!! I so want to do a DIY inspired from your videos may be not at this large scale but a smaller one for my rented apartment.
Thank you 😊

U are really a great artist....iam a big fan of u savita garu......I have question for u?
Did u do any sanding before u paint on it?
Thanks Subhahini. Tha main advantage of using chalk paint is it doesn't need any surface preparation. So no need for sanding or priming

Hi Savitha! Your pooja maadam looks amazing thanks for sharing this video. Can I ask what's the size of these god picture frames inside these shelves?
Thank you. Those are customer's frame. I don't have any idea
Lovely Savitha. It's a large unit. Big project! Just curious. How long did it take for you to finish? Also, is it possible to show how you place the LED lighting inside the pooja mandir in one of your upcoming videos?
Thank you. It took almost 2 week though I have worked only couple of hours every day. Sure, I will make a video on that.

Hi Savi,Thank you for posting this. I like the stencil shapes. Where do I buy them from ?
It was from joann fabrics. Bought long back
Thank you. I will see if I can find it. Also, I am converting a hutch cabinet into a puja mandir. It is a finished white wood cabinet. But now I am thinking how to handle the soot stains from harathi, lamps. Will a coat of Rustoleum top coat help the wood from staining ?
Would it be difficult to put in glass inserts ?
You can put glass inserts also.
