Congrats to her for listening to her heart. We have many nurses from Philippines here in the East coast hospitals. They're such hardworking and caring nurses I have seen
She’s got that great jolly Filipino spirit. Remember the first time I went to the Philippines going in to a store and I when women walked in workers would say “good morning mom.” I thought dang, everyone in this country considers strangers family! Then I realized they were saying Ma’am… Pre-pandemic I was nomadic for ten years, spent months on Bohol and Camiguin and loved the area. Just have to find a good Filipina now.
If you want to meet somebody nice and educated go be invited to family parties 🎉 just beware that people may sometimes try to jokingly pair you with one or a lot more eligible ladies in the throng😂
Hello everyone! What a beautiful story ! I am a caregiver myself. Husband and I built a little vacation house in the Philippines in Samar. Been here in USA for 39 years been home to the Philippines many times and like they said , sometimes you feel homesick and looking for a sense of belonging ! I feel that now. Thank you Tim K for this awesome video! Watching from Jacksonville Florida USA 🇺🇸 Stay safe everyone 🥰🇺🇸🙏
As a Filipino working overseas and my family in another country, am emotionally torn thinking and deciding where is best for me to retire. There is always this nagging thoughts behind my mind. I do think of this “Sense of Belonging”, when you are in your country. I supposed There is another way to say it… “Home Sweet Home”.
I can really identify with her! I moved back home to Costa Rica 25 years ago after growing up in California since the age of 8. Left a high paying Director of Technology job at a Casino Card Club and have never regretted it. Costa Rica is the perfect place to live in with world class medical dental, great weather year round and only 2.5 hours from Florida or 3.5 hours from Texas but a world away. The only thing missing now is a Filipina wife and I believe I would have the perfect lifestyle! I say this because I had Filipina girlfriends in California and they were simply awesome.
@@costaricasbestguide9906 hope you find your soulmate . She must be well spoken and at par with your level of education. This Lady is highly educated and reasonable. It makes a big big difference.
I am beyond words for all the love and support. My Lola Matilde must be very proud. My father built the place as a vacation house for his children but little did we know that it served a much greater purpose. It made us connect to our guests in different ways. The stories that we shared with our guests makes it so much special. We all are passers, must take a stop or pause at some point, really look at what is more important in life. We do hope that our genuine hospitality makes it a worthwhile stop in your journey.
Michelle - thanks for the shout out for nurses!! Going back home at end of the year to get a feel of whether I could live at home after so long away!! Getting back to the roots! Away from the woke crap!
I'm sure she will do great. According to the US BLS, FilAms are the 2nd most affluent group in the US by annual family income, just behind Indian Americans. Hard working, excellent social abilities and can assimilate just about anywhere. - WW
Interesting how you phrased it (and I'm not trying to start any problems). I am a man of all people. But it makes sense then FilAms and People from India would be the most affluent based on family income in America because they live there and in Canada as they do at home. With more than one family per house. Like au ties and uncles and besides and nephews and brothers and sisters and moms and dads. So it would only make sense for them to be above average. I have both Filipino and Friends from India, and compared your average north american family who may have 3-5 members living in the home they usually have about 10-15. And that's just the culture
Very proud of you Ate Michelle! We were coworkers before and she really have big heart especially with her team 💕 We miss you on the floor but you really made a great decision for yourself and family 🤗 See you soon! Isuroy ko diha sa Bohol te! 😊

I understand where she's coming from. That's why I told my wife to stay home so she can be home with the kids and I do all the work and boy did I worked. I worked all the overtime to support the family. Our lives turned out good and the kids were able to get their schooling and all graduated college and now doing good. Hey Tim, thanks for showing this place to us. It's in the center of the island away from all the beaches, so it looks like a nice, quiet, peaceful place to take a couple of days break from the beach. When I go to Bohol with my Filipina, we will definitely take a couple of nights there and meet them. Probably won't be until early next year as we have several other vacation destinations ahead of vigil on the list. But I will definitely put them on the list and contact them directly so they don't have to pay those fees to the Internet robbers. Go have some fun with Dale and Chrissy while you guys are together.

Traveling nurses a couple years out of school are making $20-25k per month here in CA. So many Filipinas and male Filipinos working here. It takes courage to give that up and move back there.
The need for more nurses in US will continue to increase. I wished the US would streamline the process to get more filipina nurses in the US. They want to actually work and do a great job at the same time. Great video!

Great video Mitilda B&B looks like a nice clean place to visit. She seems like a wonderful lady and the food looks delicious. Enjoy your morning in the Philippines 🇵🇭 🇺🇸
I was at a B&B once many moons ago. Was my first time and it was in a house. I was doing a lot of traveling and I just needed food and sleep. There was no Hotel or Motel for miles. I was pulled over for swerving the cop thought I was drinking. I told him I was dead tired and just need a place to eat and sleep. Not giving me a ticket he told me just a couple miles down the road there was a B&B and he will fallow me to make sure I am ok to drive there. I made it and it was a huge house. I walking inside the house and it was so beautiful in there. The house on the outside and inside looked like a 1930's. The girl that was setting me up with a room said Supper will be ready by 5 Pm I said I wont make it by then I hope to be sleeping. I went to my room and crashed. 11 PM I woke to the sounds of couples having the time of their life. Or should I say making little ones. I decided to go find a place for a coffee in hopes by then things would quiet down. I came down the stairs and the girl said oh you are up. I said well hard to sleep longer when you have people in love next to you. She then said let me warm you up the meal and would you like a coffee. I sat at the table and asked the girl a few questions. I told her she looks a little young to own a B&B and she told me it is her Mom's B&B she is just working there along with her 3 other sisters. I told her I understood. Then she said their Father left them and the house use to belong to their Grandmother . The Grandmother did the B&B untill she just couldn't do it anymore then her Mother took it over . Anyways the girl told me many of times she has wanted to just get away she was tired of that work but then before she does she meets someone interesting and that makes her want to stay to meet more interesting people.

Im on the same boat. I use to be a traveling PT, now working as a home PT, I bought properties in Siargao and Boracay for rental. She's absolutely right, you can buy anything here in the US, but there is something that is missing, and thats the family, relatives, grandmas and grandpas and friends. And of course ,the beautiful landscapes and the beaches that you can't find here in the US. Right now Im saving up more , and when the right time comes, will sell our house and buy more rental here in the US and then go home. Everything here in the US is crazy expensive now.

Great video Tim, Chrissy and Little Dale, the B and B couple have their priorities in order for their two kids. My wife's family has several RN's that not only live here in the US but also in a couple of Arab countries and are very well off. Her oldest Sister just retired at 78 years old and is married to a Surgeon who also just retired at 80. Have a great day everyone!!!
Don’t blame her. The burnout rate of nurses is astounding. 1/3 of the nurses in Kamloops quit last November. City I live in 1/4 of the nurses are quitting next month. They care about their patients so much but as a society we rarely show compassion to them.
Nice place to live. I’m from Camiguin the island province nearby and I too dreamt of coming home 3-4 years after my youngest is done in college. I left in 1987 but coming home every now and then. God bless. Watching from California.
Thank you tim. Very good content. Maybe she is just one in a thousand. At a very young age she comes back home. Me i've work abroad for 37 years before i decided to stay home for good. Although 2 times z yr im home still coming back for good is very hard to do. I did but after 37 years. Life is short. When time permits, enjoy it the way you like it.
She has the right idea. Spending time with the kids is the best. They’re only kids for such a short time in our lives. My children are in their 30’s and 40’s. My grandchildren are in their teens. I’m enjoying their childhoods. They have a grandpa around them as they grow up. Great memories for them and us.

Great storie from ex nurse and that looks like a Great BnB Metilde and im glad you are speading time with your family Tim K take care! 👍 😀
Traveling nurses a couple years out of school are making $20-25k per month here in CA. So many Filipinas and male Filipinos working here. It takes courage to give that up and move back there.
That room is definitely nicer than the one I got when I visited Choc Hills in Bohol. When I go next time definitely I’ll hit up that place.
We can't wait to host you!
what a lovely inspiring story!!!
I like her mentality good for her and her family .
The need for more nurses in US will continue to increase. I wished the US would streamline the process to get more filipina nurses in the US. They want to actually work and do a great job at the same time. Great video!
No we need nurses of our own. Not importing them and driving down wages.
@@patrickmunneke8348 ....... but nobody wants to work on the weekends ......... most americans want to work 9 to 5,monday to friday ....... that's why nursing jobs isn't appealing to everyone ......
@@johnnier.o.d4746 not true in the nurse world
Tim it's awesome to see you promote others like that. I'm still working in the states but also still planning a business over there so me and my fiancee and her girls can have a decent family life there way before retirement age
Matilde Bed and Breakfast
in Bohol looks very cozy.
The place is very clean too.
I would love to visit this
Bed and Breakfast someday.
I was in Bohol in December 2019.

super nice province. I have been here and still longing to see this again.
Awesome Interview!!! I will keep that place in mind. Thanks
Very nice accommodations…I wish her much success.
What a great memory, thanks for sharing. Cheers from Vancouver 🇨🇦

Love this interview Tim. Motivational to make dreams come true in Philippines
That's is so interesting Tim, Glad you took time to advertised their business in your vlog. We would love to check them out, God willing we can visit Leyte in the future.
A big fan of your vlogs here, living in Michigan, maried a foreigner, a Michigan oreginally. I grew up in Mindanao, love gardening and more. I love her passions, and enjoyed watching your vlogs, and your beautiful little family. Chrissy is so sweet and so are you and Dale is a Darling little guy!❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the kind words Estela!
We’re going home in September and planning to go to Bohol, maybe, we’ll check her place
What a nice place, great hosts & sarap food!

Nice place
This! could not have said it better. I work in the ER and this is exactly what had happened; and happening now.
I got you ate. I can’t wait to come back home like just live back in the Philippines! Nothing feels like home
I will be in Cebu in two weeks for two weeks... I will be sure to go check this amazing place out.
We can't wait to host you!
Nice place to live. I’m from Camiguin the island province nearby and I too dreamt of coming home 3-4 years after my youngest is done in college. I left in 1987 but coming home every now and then. God bless. Watching from California.
What a great story
hi Tim, thanks for portraying her revelations. May i know her exact location? i am a Boholano too. Thank you.
It’s is so beautiful in the Philippine I be back there soon
She has the right idea. Spending time with the kids is the best. They’re only kids for such a short time in our lives. My children are in their 30’s and 40’s. My grandchildren are in their teens. I’m enjoying their childhoods. They have a grandpa around them as they grow up. Great memories for them and us.
